I went in for a haircut, and i wanted to curl my hair after it. The stylist used a straightener to curl my hair, but she did not know how to do it. The hair stands that she took were so thick and the curls were not lasting. Within 10 minutes of styling my hair the curls were gone and my hair looked flat(I usually have thick wavy hair, and curls always stay on my hair). Terrible service and stylists need to be more open if they do not specialize in a service

Critical: Professionalism This salon thinks it's a health care provider! When I asked the receptionist to schedule me with a vaccinated stylist, she claimed the hair salon was subject to HIPPA requirements so she couldn't schedule me with an acceptable stylist! It's a hair salon not a medical provider! Needless to say I will not be returning! Service: Pedicures

I'm so, so low maintenance about my hair it's honestly sort of embarrassing. So much so that I didn't think anyone could screw my hair up, but alas. I went to a girl named Hayley (Haleigh? Hayleigh? I'm not sure how it's spelled) at the north Ames location. I just wanted my hair trimmed and a lightened -- balayage, highlights, whatever -- I didn't really care.
I always trust my stylist to do what makes the most sense. That's it. Trim the dead ends and make my hair blonder. She seemed confident so I totally trusted her. First, she left me sitting with bleach in my hair for 40 minutes while she LEFT to go eat her dinner. She came back, took my to the sink to shampoo/rinse and put a toner in my hair. She left me there for another 55 minutes (super uncomfortable sitting with your head in a sink for 55 minutes lol) while she left to GO TO THE CAFE ACROSS THE STREET. What?
She went to go buy cheesecake with her coworkers. She came back, ate her cheesecake, then came back to me. She washed my hair, blow dried it, and it was awful. My hair was grey and purple. Then she trimmed it, and screwed up the trimming around my face so much I ended up looking like I had a mullet. A grey and purple mullet. Yes. Anywho, I was polite about it but said I was unhappy and surprised by the result.
She offered to try and fix it the next day and I declined and just asked to not be charged. They declined my request, and charged me almost twice the amount it said I'd be charged on their website ($113 on their website, and they charged $197). I went to Leedz Salon the next day and they fixed it. They're wizards. Please just go to Leedz instead and stay far away from this place.

I would strongly recommend against this salon, or at the very least the stylist I had, Haley. She did a horrible job and gave me nothing like what I asked for. I wanted a blonde balayage and we spent considerable time going over my inspiration picture. It came out brown. She had to go back in to fix it with the help of the manager. It still did not come out looking anything like what I wanted. I will never go back to this salon and am very upset and am stuck with ugly hair until I can fix it again.

Can't thank Finesse Spa Salon staff Dawn Marie and Calie enough for the ease of ordering on phone and having it shipped free. So convenient, easy and gives safety peace of mind. They gave me expert advise on a new hair care line I wanted to try and I'm beyond excited for it to arrive! Amazing experience and i felt so Finessed

I normally never get my nails done, but I was gifted with a mani/pedi, I had gel nails done by Mackenzie and they literally just came off a few days ago, she did my nails on September 1st and they were stunning for 3+weeks! I have had my hair highlighted twice in the past here too and my children's hair cuts, each time we have been here, I have been overly satisfied with the final product as well as the friendly atmosphere. Finesse delivers the highest on customer standards, I highly recommend this salon!

First the massage room had bad music. When I asked for zen spa music, Amy obliged but couldn't turn off the bad music so turned it down and turned the zen music way up. Not cool. I could hear commercials on the music. What? Plus room was noisy in general. Bed was warmed up but room was cold. Her hands were still sweaty. The cream she used for massage had a fragrance even though I marked "allergic to perfumes" in my form.
Never asked me if it was ok. Never asked if pressure was ok. I asked to increase pressure but she'd do that for 2 minutes and then go back. Overall it was cringeworthy. Massage is something where you get your body touched. What are you supposed to do if you don't like it? Get up and leave? So I'm not going to just try out massage places anymore. I'll ask for a 10 minute tester beforehand.
I was told there's an offer for free massage. A free one hour massage! This place is really struggling, but they need to fix the experience and the therapy instead of offering discounts. But if you enjoy country music in your salon, this is your place.

I was referred to Finesse by a family member who had gone there before so I thought it was a safe bet for a haircut. However the woman rushed through cutting my hair in 20 minutes. After I told her that my hair is curlier in the back than in the front and so to be careful when layering not to make it too short, she cut the back into 2 layers. I have long hair so having two blunt layers with 3 1/2 inches in between is pretty obvious.
Not to mention when she realized she was messing it up she turned me away from the mirror for the rest of the time. Then she tried to hide the bad layers by curling random sections of my hair to try to hide the back she rushed me out the door. This was all after she couldn't get the two sides of my hair equal lengths. I cannot believe I spent the money to have her butcher my hair. I will never go back to this place.

Wow! I love this place! I get everything done here, hair, nails, facials, message, you name it. Everything is wonderful! I go about 2-3 per month and find each visit relaxing and worth the money. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to be pampered! Juan does the best hair I've ever had and superb facials. See Sherry for message (the hot stones are awesome) and Jamie Hetland for nails - she is super sweet.

For someone who doesn't frequent salons often, I felt very welcome upon stepping into Finesse for my first-ever facial. Sydney and the gal who greeted me at the front desk were sweet and professional, luring me back for a follow-up even though I'd sworn to myself that I was only in for one appointment. The experience was so good ~ soothing voice & music, gentle hands, relaxing environment ~ I look forward to treating myself in the future for special occasions.
The only downside was my post-treatment payment: The gal who rang me up both times (the salon manager?) was severely unfriendly, knocking me right out of my zen moment. If not for her, 5 stars.
