Charles Dane Massage Therapy

I enjoyed my massages from Charles. I have had chronic shoulder pains due to previous injuries but with his help, I have a better range of motion than I had in the last two years! Highly recommend!

Charles really knows how to masssge deeply in the right tight spots and relaxes the muscles with ease. I go to Charles weekly.

Charles is flexible with scheduling, works areas that need more attention. I've been seeing Charles for over 10 years. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Dane discriminated against me and my partner because of disabilities. It is not the responsibility of a service dog handler to give information in advance. As a business owner, the burden is on him to know and abide by the ADA regarding service dogs in public places. Additionally, the Code of Ethics of the AMTA specifically state "massage therapists/practitioners shall acknowledge the inherent worth and individuality of each person by not discriminating or behaving in any prejudicial manner with clients and/or colleagues."

Charles Dane is a fabulous professional & caring masagge therapist. And by the way, after reading the last comment (NOT about Charlie's massage capabilities, but about renting office space so it really shouldn't be included here), Charlie is an animal lover & especially loves his nephews dog as pictured here! There is no better LMT in Savannah!

Edit: I would like to further explain my 1 star review. I purchased a Groupon for my husband for the Charles Dane Massage Therapy. He called to book an appointment and Mr. Charles didn't return his phone call for several days and when he did, he stated that his schedule was full. So, my husband said he would call back after he figured out another time he could come.

Once he looked over his schedule, he asked if I could call to make an appointment for him. I left a message with Mr. Charles asking if I could make an appointment--to which he called me back 15 minutes later saying that he could "get me in right away" and that his schedule was "clear" for the next few weeks even before I was able to explain it was for my husband.

I thought it was sketchy that he was totally booked when my husband called but when he called me, his schedule was totally open. I told him I would call him back once I figured out an appointment time (again, never mentioning it was for my husband). I ended up having to block his number as he called me at least 5 times asking when I would like to book.

My husband called to schedule and his call was never returned. I ended up getting a refund on my Groupon because once again, it wasn't for me, it was for my husband. I just thought it was important to share my experience.

I went in for a deep tissue massage. I kept telling him that he could apply more pressure because the pressure he was using was very light. He said he has worked on athletes whose muscles weren't as tight as mine. That I was overworking him giving me a massage. I thought by going to a man I would finally be able to find somebody that can apply very strong firm pressure.

But to be quite honest I've had women that gave me better deep tissue massages. He then instructed me I needed to fire my trainer at the gym because apparently my trainer was over working me. I tried to explain to him that if I don't work out at the gym with the regiment that I currently have then I can't function and move the next day. It's because my job is very physically demanding so the workouts that I have with my trainer is necessary in order for me to be able to do my job at work, and this is why I go to see a massage therapist.

I was not happy with my massage. He's great with swedish massages but not deep tissue massages. and In all truth, the ladies that I've gone to in the past give firmer massages than he does. I was very disappointed.

Had a great experience at Charles Dane Massage! Very attentive to any issues that you may have. Offers suggestions on what you can do after to help with any spots that needed extra attention, like stretches, exercises and posture corrections. Office was neat and clean. Very relaxing experience!

I've been seeing Charlie regularly for over a year (for prenatal and regular deep tissue massages). I experience him as professional and attentive to what I need most at the time. I had a wonderful experience at Charles Dane's Massage Studio. I was given a gift certificate for my visit by a friend. Charles was very friendly, professional and informative. He removed any apprehension I may have had because he's discreet and respects the clients privacy fully. The massage intensity was moderate (which was PERFECT for my first visit) and he's thorough.

I think I may have dozed off a few times as it felt as though I was receiving a massage in an exotic place of tranquility. Lol. All in all, I will definitely book with him again and refer my family and friends there also!
