My boyfriend paid almost $ 95 for the service that included an average haircut, a hair styling product that his stylist recommended as a must have' and a tip. When he came home I had to correct his uneven sideburns, and the back of his head that was cut straight like on a manikin doll. He will not go there again. The prices at this place are insane and the service is average or below the average!

I hate haircuts but coming here makes the chore of getting a haircut much easier. From the haircut quality to the customer service, everything about TGP is top notch and I really do feel welcomed when I walk through those doors. Ellie is by far one of the best hairstylists and coolest people there. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Service: Haircut

Great haircut for my son. They took a look at the cut on a picture and got it perfectly. He's very happy. Lots of great service from the coffee up front to the great grooming in back.

Great shop. I went once just to try it out and was very impressed. A basic annual membership comes out to about $35 per haircut which is cheaper than most places in the area. Membership comes with shoe shine, an open bar, and a bunch of other cool perks.

Full disclosure I did not hang out at the bar or have my haircut or get a massage here. Walking by we had to stop in to check out the place.

The stylists at The Gents Place were mostly great but the business cannot keep anyone long term. They all ultimately end up leaving after 3 to 6 months. The Preston Hollow location was better but was destroyed by the 2019 Tornado. Unfortunately the overall experience and service went down hill. Now that I know more about the owners, I'm not so surprised.

I had a membership for nearly three years but left late 2021 after having been forgotten about when yet another stylist left. They didn't bother to call me and let me know this time. They had a "manager, " call me to try to get me to stay on as a member. Let's just say, he didn't win me over.

Loved this place. Took hubs there and now this is a requirement for getting his head shaved. We were greeted warmly, offered something to drink promptly and he was taken back at his appointment time. The waiting area smelled amazing and was warm and inviting. He was throughlying impressed with everything and is already making his his appointment. Definitely worth checking out!

Had an appointment for today and they texted me 20 minutes prior to the appointment and told me my stylist would not be in. Horrible experience. What business does not have additional employee's to fill in. Waste of my time.

Professional, friendly, great haircut, AND I get to enjoy a drink? Outstanding! My encounter will each employee was pleasant and courteous, and my haircut was exactly what I was looking for. Kayla did a great job helping me look my best with a last minute cut before a wedding. From the moment I walked in the door to my departure I was pleased with my experience and will recommend this establishment to anyone else looking for a new stylist or barber in the area. Thanks!

Very professional staff. Made sure I was comfortable doing my first visit. I really enjoy the cut. Ellen made sure u got everything right for me for washing my hair to going back over my hair. I just wish for bolding my head they would have use a straight razor. I was a little pricing for a haircut and a beard trim but your paying for a ready great experience so I would say it worth it.

Whiskey while I wait? Free shoeshine? Guest passes? Bought a membership. I'm the guy who always gets a haircut when it's obviously overdue. They scheduled an appointment for me and sent it to my calendar. Love the atmosphere, I could hang out here with my friends. Literally. Members can reserve the lounge. Also ask about their project for veterans.

Visited The Gent's Place last week after receiving a recommendation from a friend as I was visiting from out of town. TGP did not disappoint. I was very impressed upon walking in and being greeted and was offered a cocktail. I had the 7 course with Camille. The most extensive and rejuvenating experience I have ever had. I highly recommend it. I wish there was The Gent's Place in the SF Bay Area.

My boyfriend came in for a beard trim Valentine's Day evening. TRIM being the operative word here. We wanted just the scraggly dead ends off of his beautiful beard. He checked in for his appointment and waited a substantial amount of time before close. The staff seemed to linger in discussion, intimidated by the job or possibly in a rush for the holiday and the stylist who got ahold of his face didn't know the meaning of trim.

I gave up a chance to have a Valentines date with my man only to have him come home face just butchered in my opinion. So disappointed and do not recommend. Here's a before and after photo of his poor face.

Don't waste your time or money. Very high turnover on stylists. Once you find a good one they, quit then you are left with very few options. They don't even try to be helpful with a replacement. Has happened multiple times. Each time had regularly scheduled appointments and when they quit, they don't try to accommodate with another stylist.

Except with a rookie stylist which you could get an equivalent haircut at Sport Clips for a fraction of the cost. Can't even find another appointment with an experienced stylist for a month. Plus they won't refund the money paid even though their people quit and makes it impossible to reschedule.

This place is awesome! Amazing service. I came here with a free member for a day voucher and I was left feeling renewed. The pass allowed a guest to receive a complimentary haircut, shampoo, drink, and shoe shine. The level of service was beyond impressive. I absolutely loved the barber who cut my hair because her knowledge, customer service, and level of effort and attention she put into my haircut. Would highly recommend giving this place a try. Fun fact: queer eye was filmed here! Definitely felt like a got a made for TV makeover

Kareem did a great job. This is probably my 5th haircut I have had professionally done by someone that wasn't my professional hairdresser mother. My rule with them was don't make me look dumb. They would cut my hair in about 8 minutes and i was never impressed. I told Kareem I am going bald and let's just cut it short. But I said I trust him to do a good job.

He said something about using a 4, and then leaving it longer on the top. I agreed. The haircut was very professional and about 20 minutes. He took his time. This I the happiest I have been with my hair in a long time.

The Gents Place is an elite grooming experience from the moment you walk through their door. I was graciously offered welcome drinks and escorted to my hairstylist's designated station punctually. My hairstylist, Chali was exceptional, knowledgeable and suggested ways in which I could take best care of my scalp and hair. She explained the benefits of the products she used on my hair and was extremely professional in her approach. I loved the Eucalyptus face towel application towards the end of my session. I would definitely recommend this Salon for a luxurious grooming experience.

I LOVE The Gents Place. Before finding The Gents Place, I frequented Sports Clips, but I wanted to find something a bit more full service. This is the place. I have been getting the 7 course - which is $70 for an hour of pampering and relaxation. The 7 course gets you a consultation, cut and style, but you also get shampoo and conditioning, steam towel, scalp massage, face refresher, paraffin hand dip, neck, shoulder, hand and arm massage and a hot lather neck massage.

There are cheaper options available, but I leave every time feeling relaxed and ready to take on the world. I always feel like a VIP when I walk into The Gents Place. Give it a try. you won't be disappointed!

It's been a while since I've stopped into the Gents Place in Leawood, as I don't live in Kansas City anymore. What's changed? New barber chairs, new faces, and a slightly new setup with how the various stations are set up. What hasn't changed? World-class service and care. Great haircuts and shoe shines. And that feeling I have when I leave: my best. Thanks Gents Place!

Went here on a recommendation from a friend who is already a member. It was very easy to schedule and when I arrived I was greeted promptly and all the employees were helpful and friendly. I had the 5 course treatment and the massage, face scrub and haircut were all excellent. Getting to enjoy a complimentary drink while doing all of this added to the whole gents club atmosphere.

Yes it's a bit pricey for a haircut, but why not pamper yourself. I have another appointment soon and I believe I will be signing up on the annual plan. Excellent experience all around.

I got a great haircut today by Anna. II thought it was a well run business, and they have some unique products that you don't see everywhere. The staff was dressed nice, and had a good appearance. The gentlemen doing the shoe shines was cleaning the windows when he wasn't busy. I think $40 for a haircut is kinda steep, and they have some yearly programs I like, but are kinda pricey too. (especially if your stylist leaves, and goes somewhere else)! Check it out. I'm looking forward to going back.

Rude receptionist/hostess. No one was in the lobby except for two women who were chit chatting away as I walked in I was not greeted, not even acknowledged, I patiently waited for their convo to end when I finally was spoken to, no eye contact was made. I was shocked how such an inviting environment could turn me off in an instant, major rudeness alert.

I walked out. I recently move here form Los Angles and have seen my fair share of bad service. I've never experienced something like this before. Place looks like they have potential. Ditch the rudeness and I might come back.

So I am a busy, young professional guy. I have come here a few times and while I have thought they are a bit overpriced for the only reasonable quality of haircut they give, I found someone I liked there. Today I had to schedule with someone else due to my schedule, but undid it. Drove out of my way home from work, which is fine, to have them say they have no record of the appointment I made. Shortly after saying that, they did cite the exact time of my appointment and had me in the system. I am done going to get my haircut here. I'd advise against it.

My hair is difficult to cut. It is a bit wavy, two cowlicks, and slightly wiry. On one side it grows front to back and on the other top down. There, I have bared my soul! Over the years I have moved many times and it has always been a serious challenge to find someone who can cut my hair so that I look presentable, and after the first couple of years here in the Kansas City area I found The Gents Place and could not be happier.

As a customer I have always been treated with respect (and a shot of Maker's in my coffee) and a friendly greeting. Only once did I have to wait past my "start time" and that was but 5 minutes (very acceptable). And then the "little things" add up to a great experience: rarely do you have to put up with noisy children, free wifi, the hot towels and comfortable chairs are great, and quality of the cut has always been top notch!

In fact, my family refers to Holly as "Saint Holly" because of the miracles she performs. While "memberships" are available I have never been "hounded" to purchase. As the prices are bit heftier than those at a regular barber shop, the quality of cut and overall experience does prove that one does get what one pays for. Nearby parking can sometimes be a chore, so I do try to schedule my appointments for off peak times.

It was my first time at GP and I absolutely loved it. Nice ambience, friendly manager and a perfect stylist. Carmen Kimberley gave me an awesome haircut which I had been wanting for a long time! Other reviews have already mentioned about the pool, drinks and stuff which makes your stay at GP even better, so I don't need to comment on that anymore. I would recommend this to everyone and I am going to stick to GP as long as I stay in KC! Keep up the good work GP!
