They advertise same day appointments but their reception says that's only for people who are self-pay, which is disheartening because they are in-network with my plan (BCBS). I've worked in healthcare for 15 years and know that it would take less than 2 minutes to confirm my chiropractic benefits online, so this feels unnecessarily discriminatory against insurance clients. I hope this helps someone.

I love this place! I see Annabelle for acupuncture and Sarah and Eric for massage and they are all so skilled and wonderful!

Bad vibe, sterile energy. Uptight people overall, would rather get service at a dark alley in Chinatown if I'm being frank.

I've seen many chiropractors and Dr. Borgardt is the best chiropractor I've ever worked with. I've been a patient of his for the last couple years and my back has improved greatly. I used to be addicted to weekly adjustments because I had chronic back pain that was easily and regularly activated. Dr. B was the first chiropractor to accurately understand my body and give me tools to improve my condition.

His goal is to keep me out of the office, not to keep coming back. I've been practicing the daily exercises he taught me and my spine is stronger, more resilient, and more stable now. I rarely experience pain. When I do, he gives me minimal and effective adjustments, but our focus has been on stability, strength, and prevention. I've transitioned from weekly visits to check-ups every few months and I feel relieved not having to worry about chronic pain and flare-ups. Thank you Dr. B!

Annabelle is the best acupuncturist I have ever seen; she is informative, grounded, sweet, and a gifted healer. I have been seeing her for fertility support to which she has helped me come a very long way, and also through this journey, she has healed back pain, cramping, digestion issues, TMJ. She is genuinely curious about her patients and dedicated to helping them in any way that she can. I can't say enough about her!

Getting acupuncture makes my life so much better. Helps with my back pain and afterwards it makes me so relaxed and anxiety free. I always look forward to my appointments here.

For any women out there struggling with fertility.look no further. Originally I went to my OBGYN and got testing done which showed I had "premature ovarian disfunction". At 38 years old she said I had the eggs of a 43 year old and recommended IVF. I was gutted. Then I found Annabelle Snow She said those test numbers I received are only a snapshot in time and they can change.for the better!

She said in as little as 3 months of weekly acupuncture I could see results. (Egg cycle is 90 days) She gave me hope! And you know what.in exactly 3 months I was pregnant! I am now in my second trimester and owe it to Annabelle! She is miracle worker. She is also super lovely, motherly, patient, great listener, initiative and an all around good person.

I see Lili Scott for acupuncture here and she is amazing. Very skilled and experienced healer that can integrate spiritual/emotional wellness into your treatment seamlessly without being all up on your business. I see her for migraines and they've all but disappeared. She needles like a boss, I highly recommend her.

My go to place for acupuncture for pain control and for massage. Have been coming here for years because of the excellent body healing, calming setting, and caring staff.

Naike- go see her for acupuncture! She is amazing and very knowledgeable. I come in for migraines and Endometriosis pain. I will not stop going here as long as they are open! The front desk staff are always very pleasant, warm and sweet! I highly recommend this place!

This place has healed me so many times over. I have received acupuncture, massage and chiropractic work here. Staff are all welcoming and friendly, and work hard with your schedules. There is a reason I have continued here for over 7 years. I work in healthcare, and I can say these folks are the best.

The staff and professionals within this business are simply great. I've had acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy at various times and for various reasons. The space is warm and inviting and pretty easy to get to and park. Each of the professionals I have worked with are very knowledgeable and helped me determine the proper path to improve my wellness.

I've never gotten a massage before, but I went in for a 60 minute massage focusing on the nerves in my back and it was amazing! The space is so calm and relaxing, the receptionist was so kind and helpful that I booked a follow up right away!

I cannot say enough about the amazing acupuncture services offered by North Portland wellness. Having had to recoup from a car accident, I had scheduled regular acupuncture visits to this location over the course of a half a year or so. These visits having ended some time ago, I still miss my time at North Portland Wellness. I routinely saw Meghan and Mary for my acupuncture sessions, and they are both incredible at what they do.

During my visit I would routinely find myself so relaxed that I would fall asleep, not just any sleep but a deep sleep. Waking up feeling refreshed ready to get on with your day and extremely happy. Thank you North Portland Wellness, you were pivotal in my recovery and return to a normal life.

I've been to North Portland Wellness for many reasons: relaxing massage, general chiropractic, extensive treatment after a car accident, and acupuncture/Chinese herbs for anxiety and other things. Every single time I leave there, I feel 10 times better than when I walked in the door. Something about the place and the practitioners. you just feel overall cared for, and everyone there really knows their stuff.

My guess is that there is excellent leadership here, as the high quality care is experienced continuously. So glad it's in my neighborhood. But even if it weren't, I'd drive far to go there.

Incredible service and caring staff. I put my back out travelling and these guys totally fixed it in one session. I happily continued my trip without a niggle. Thank you so much for the experience I had here. I'd recommend Northern Portland Wellness to everyone.

The chiropractor Dr. Borgardt is really awesome. He explains all the reasons behind his recommendations of different techniques and exercises. He doesn't cloud his practice in mystery and/or ask you to come every week, forever, like other chiropractors I've seen. I've also had group acupuncture with Mary Chen and Naike Swai. They are both very attentive and gentle needlers.

One star off because I think "group" acupuncture could be offered as community-style acupuncture (with several strangers getting treatment at the same time), rather than having only 1 "group" slot available at a time. This doesn't seem efficient, and it makes it hard to schedule treatments. That said, it's still great how you offer a more accessible acupuncture option!

I trust the practitioners completely. They are professionals in every measure. I am grateful I can access the level of care and attention they provide. I can't measure the value of their knowledge and expertise because. Thank you for dedicating yourselves to helping others be well and healthy.

Wow this place takes the cake-I went there because they were the preferred provider for my insurance and after seeing Dr. Borgardt, the Chiropractor & Mary, the Acupuncture I was charged $416 which was socking-they demanded payment in advance before I got the approval from my insurance. $300 was for Dr. Borgardt, the Chiropractor. He spent 15 minutes tell me about the problem w/my shoulder joint.

I don't have a problem w/my shoulder joint. He worked on my back but didn't acutally crack it. The insurance did finally approve $200 for the Chiropractor but I wouldn't have paid him anything for the service it was terrible. Mary who did the Acupuncture was Great but today they had the never to send me a bill for $86.45 claiming additional 15 minute charge for the Acupuncture. NOT RECOMMENDED! I was going to file a formal complaint on them but I just don't have the time. Extremely Bad Treatment! Also the parking was really bad!

Annabelle Snow is INCREDIBLE. I think she might be able to fix anything (you'll have to ask her about that). She is so quick and light-handed with the needles she's great for people who are new to acupuncture and worried about feeling the little pricks from the needles. You'll be fine if you work with Annabelle.

This place is amazing! I recently got a new job and new insurance and was told by coworkers that massage and acupuncture were covered. I went online to North Portland Wellness, filled out forms and signed up for a massage. When I arrived for the massage, they had all of my insurance info ready for me and helped me understand my coverage. I have had both massage and acupuncture there, and both were amazing. I felt very well taken care of and am so happy to be going back on a monthly basis!

The front desk personnel are superb. The acupuncturists I had were excellent. I am having some difficulty with getting switched from PIP insurance payments to regular medical insurance, but the management heard my feedback and are working to update their policies. I think they are going to end up dealing with this the way all my other providers are dealing, which is by switching over, essentially seamlessly from my perspective. Or close at least. Anyway - I'm happy they are working with me to resolve things.

I have been going to NPWC for many years. So many things that they offer under one roof. It is a relaxing atmosphere and I never feel rushed. You feel better just by walking through the front door.

Erin and Dr. Borgardt are fantastic! Highly recommended. The massage and chiropractic were top notch.

Can I give anymore stars?! I love this place. The front desk lady was really nice and patient: called me back promptly, answered my questions, genuinely nice. The prices aren't too bad: $80 for an hour massage (full body optional). I scheduled a massage for myself and my boyfriend with Tamra. She was amazing and could interpret whatever nebulous thing I said about my body pain and make my body feel way better, and even point out problem areas that were affected by daily actions (sitting at my desk at an angle, for example)!

If you make a massage appointment (various time duration available), schedule it with Tamra, she's awesome. Not only that, she was comfortable with not being too chatty and also was very pleasant to chat with when we did talk. I really liked that. Sometimes it can be awkward talking to hairstylists, massage therapists, etc. At least it is for me haha.

NPWC is so great. The space itself is relaxing and pleasant. My acupuncturist Colleen is fantastic. She is kind, knowledgable and compassionate. Coming from a phenomenal practitioner in Berkeley, I was a little apprehensive but she put all of my fears at ease. Her needling is gentle and she takes every step to ensure you're comfortable while receiving your treatment. My next step is to look at their chiropractic services. They are a bit more expensive than I am used to but I would absolutely recommend!

I love this clinic and I always leave feeling healthier and happier. It's helped with so many things. Colleen is an amazing and kind acupuncturist who really helps with your medical needs. I love kind and welcoming service and this clinic is amazing.

I went to NPWC after I got rear-ended. I ended up with stiff and sore neck and a very intense lower back pain. I started getting Acupuncture with Megan. She is the best! I have a fear of needles, but Megan Cohen is so gentle and understanding that I kept going back for more and looking forward to it every week. She is very sweet, patient, caring and makes me feel at ease with the needles.

Not to mention that I am better now! Megan knows what she's doing! At the same time was seeing Dr Borgardt. He gave me special exercises to do on my own, which helped tremendously. He explained everything well and with knowledge. NPWC is a welcoming and relaxing place. Everyone is friendly and nice.

I've been going here for over a year and have seen 3 massage therapists, 5 acupuncturists, and Dr. Borgardt, the chiropractor. The facility is beautiful and super comfortable and always smells like heaven. Everyone is really knowledgeable, kind, and caring. The 2 things I would improve are the communication between practitioners and clearer follow up plans in terms of when and how often I should come back and if I should refill the herbs, etc.

The nice thing is that they aren't pushing you to be there constantly and spend a bunch of money. But a little more direction would be nice. But honestly, both of these have actually gotten better since I've started coming. I highly recommend Dr. Borgardt for chiropractic. He's young, but not to be underestimated. He also uses a range of techniques (electro therapy, heating pads, active and passive release therapy) and spends real time with you. For acupuncture I recommend Lili. She is incredible. But only available on Thursdays and Saturdays. And Erik for massage. Very strong hands. Very nice guy.

I tend to get bad tension headaches unless I get a massage every couple of months and I've been to a few massage therapy locations around town. Anyways, I was super-stoked to finally land insurance that covered massage! Yay, Kaiser! I called up North Portland Wellness Center, and they hooked me up with a therapeutic massage within a week, with Eric. It'd been about 4 months since my last massage and I think I just had the best massage of my life.

Now I have the muscle soreness to prove it. It's a simple, well-lit, clean, comfortable setting and there was no attempt to up-sell (here's looking at you, ill-fated Spa Willamina!). It was nice :) Their waiting area is peaceful, on the second floor with a bit of a view and complimentary water and tea.
