Sonoma Coast Villa & Spa sits on a 60-acre resort in a quiet valley five miles east of Bodega Bay in the Russian River Valley area of Sonoma County. Our boutique hotel is within driving distance of the San Francisco Bay Area, just a 50-minute drive from San Rafael and a 60-minute drive from San Francisco.
Rustic and comfortably casual. The terraced gardens, red tile roofs, terracotta stucco and columned veranda of our estate in Sonoma County will transport you to the Mediterranean. Among the list of amenities at our charming hotel are private patios, putting green, and swimming pool. The beauty of the Russian River Valley and local wine country embraces guests.
Our Grand Residence is a beautiful private home on property which is ideal for family outings, group getaways and retreats. The house features a large living area that can be arranged for group events including a 14 person dining table perfect for large meals and/or group meetings. The home sleeps up to ten guests with four bedrooms including one master bedroom with a king bed, sleeper sofa and private bathroom, one bedroom with a king bed and two bedrooms with queen beds.A second Jack and Jill Bathroom are shared with the queen and king room.
Whether you are looking for a fun-filled, action packed vacation or a chance to relax with a glass of wine, Bodega Bay, California has something for everyone. Spend your days lazing by the beach or sipping the best vintages from the heart of wine country. We were looking for a place to stay one night for a beach trip at Dillon, and decided to go with this place, which I have no regrets about! We stayed in a pool side villa which was very comfortable and charming. The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The room was gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. The spacious bathroom and shower were a plus, and continental breakfast was perfect! We will definitely be back!

Wow what a five-star experience! Ms. Lisa and her staff are amazing at Sonoma Coast Villa. They have been really stepping it up over the past year and it shows. They were so friendly, cater to every need and even supplied a few extra surprises. Such a wonderful and great experience I love coming here and always feel so relaxed after our stay. With all the craziness in the world going on, they really do try to make the best possible experience for their guests. Thank you so much, can't wait to come back soon. :

What a little treasure nestled away and still so close to the coast! We had a great time on our overnight stay. The staff was SO friendly and welcoming. Both Lisa and Alexis were wonderful. There aren't a whole bunch of restaurants near by so we decided to partake in their wood fired pizza offered on Saturday nights and it was fantastic! We took our pup with us and she was welcomed!
Very quiet and relaxing! The room was nice. Fireplace, jetted tub, clean and comfortable. There is a putting green, bocce ball, firepit with all the s'mores fixings and even a small outdoor movie screen. We will definitely return for an overnight stay again! Not too far from home but far enough to get away. Thank you!

I dont know why there are bad ratings for this place. We LOVE this place we have been up here about 10 times now it's our favorite getaway place close to home yet a million miles away. The staff is always top notch and friendly and very accommodating, they always make us feel like family. I've been meaning to put a review on here for along time because we love it so much there and after I seen some bad reviews I had to put my good one in. I just feel like people have to look for something to complain about sometimes! It's our hidden gem!

We were in a Villa and it was the worst. The tubs Jets didn't work and then the faucet leaked. This is California and there is a drought. I guess the establishment doesn't care. The shower door wouldn't close unless you aggressively shoved it. Taking a shower was annoying. There were spiders galore! I killed about 4. They are the jumping kind, so be careful.
Then there was flies inside the room. The television didn't work. But luckily I had my iPad. The bed sheets smelled like when you don't dry something and it starts to have that moldy smell. It was not a good experience.

Very nice place I love everything about it. Nice property friendly staffs. It has pool, jacuzzi and you can book a massage while you stay there. They have continental breakfast, lady at the breakfast was very helpful to us. I will definitely return to this place. This place is pet friendly. Tobias was welcome

We checked in, went to the room and called the front desk. The room was dirty. Toenail clippings on the dirty floor, filthy shower curtain liner, dirty bed linens. Yuk. We were given a refund because no one was available to clean room. The problem was not only the room, but we had planned this trip for our anniversary. We have other reservations and no where to stay. The room was only a room. But not having a place to lodge affected our trip. I mentioned it to the management. The response I got was "Well, at least you'll get a refund."

Booked a room for two nights. As we were checking in they asked us to wait 15 minutes so they could check the room to make sure everything's was ready for us. It was a very beautiful room except for the jetted tub did not work, could not get the fireplace to start they did not tell us that there was a starter underneath all the logs that we would have to move to get to it.
The floors were filthy you cannot walk around barefoot. The showerhead fell on me tried to tighten it kept falling. We were looking forward to have some spa treatments nothing. We only1/4 of our money back for the two nights which is about 550 a night. A lot of false advertising.

Room 15 is nice and spacious. Good property for walking. Bocce ball, pickleball and cornhole options. The evening outdoor movie option is a fun touch. Dog friendly. Karina is a great massage therapist. Communication with front desk around massage therapy was off, be sure to get clear answers and ask for any changes.

Great stay! After covid I'm so happy to be out and see how businesses who are short staffed are staying in business. It's tough out for many. We stayed in a spacious villa and loved it. Lots of space to walk Charlie on the expansive grounds. She met other dogs to play with and that was super cool. The place is older but beautiful and the groundskeeper was working constantly around the property.
We had minimal amenities but what was there was unique and quirky. Old movies and the fire pit each evening we loved, bocce, golf. All fun! Beach driving distance of 10 minutes. Super comfortable bed. We would stay again!

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the amenities they have a pool and spa which is very relaxing, they also have a mini golf which is really neat, Rooms are magnificent and smells good, the only problem was that the water has a certain smell like newly boiled eggs? Place is really pricey, but we love the place and the great staff! Great service!

The pictures on the website are beyond deceiving. Also beware, they do not tell you at check in, but this is a hotel, $325 a night. We got back to our room after being gone all day and room was not cleaned. Called to front desk and got "oh, we do not clean the rooms". Wow, it is a hotel! We had to ask for clean towels and a garbage bag to empty our own garbage. Convinced all the good reviews are somehow paid for the reviews! Makes no sense, pictures are worth 1,000 words.

This house need major work the carpet is so dirt you need to wear shoes it's way over do for replacement. Bathroom 40 years old plus this could be such a beautiful home rental. You should be ashamed renting a place like this in this condition. Pictures are hung on the wall and some rooms they're just on the ground. I highly recommend you looking for a different place this needs all major remodel. This is a rip off Not sure what the hotel rooms look like

Worse place I've stayed. We had no water at night. The front service counter had no one manning it to get help. The texting system was advertised to work til 8pm and that isn't true either. The fire alarm went off and no one was here to turn it off. It kept us up all night. In the morning, we ask for an 1 hr extension, we were denied even after explaining to the staff what had happened all night. Worse of all, they were not even apologetic about it whole situation. Smh. I will never visit this place again.

There must be a lot of fake reviews for this place. I travel for work and I have stayed in numerous villas and resorts. This place has zero upkeep and no curbside appeal. How they charge 350 a night is insulting and unjustified. The room has rusty nails that pose a massive liability. There are nails in the wall where a photo once hung (I only know that because the dust outline).
The furniture in the room does not match and extremely outdated. There is no service in the evening, which any hotel should offer 24 hour service. Especially if you are a "4" star resort. There are many pictures of enticing food online, yet they do not serve food. What they collect from resort fee's is very upsetting and deserve to be called out.

It was a fantastic stay. Two nights, very quiet, clean and very nice rooms. Continental style breakfasting the morning delivered to your door (pastry, yoghurt, fruit and oj). All of the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We were fortunate to be there on a night when a food vendor with a wood fire pizza oven was making pizza for dinner. It's not something they offer every night, so plan on going out for lunch and dinner. We also took advantage of the couples massage which was fantastic. I highly recommend it.

First off the staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were peaceful and relaxing. The room was spacious and clean, bed was super comfy. There were a few things that I could say need some work. the pool, the tiles were falling off, also the Entrance into our private open air patio the large door had no latch we had to put a piece of wood in front of it. adding a nice slide lock would be awesome.
Now I know we are dealing with covid19 and so the restuarant was closed. we had a "continental " breakfast in our fridge and I was slightly disappointed Overall the villa was nice and had lots of small paths to walk around the grounds. Even saw some deer on my walk
