Armory Massage Therapy

I have been going to see Melissa at Armory Massage throughout my entire (first) pregnancy, from 10 weeks to 30 weeks (currently). And I plan on getting prenatal massages every 2 weeks until delivery. Melissa has been wonderful and is a super talented masseuse. These prenatal massages are a highlight for me and definitely help with the common pregnancy aches and pains. Not only that, but these prenatal massages help keep stress levels lower.

I had a 90 minute massage with Ty and it was amazing. She found a lot of spots that needed extra work around my shoulders and back. She does a good job of reading what your body needs. It was deep tissue but also relaxing. Covid protocols were followed well. I will definitely book here again!

Wonderful Atmosphere and the staff is so friendly. Massage was good but not deep enough at all and the pain in my neck which was the reason I made the appointment was still there, while a lot better the tightness was still present.

Melissa is truly the best massage therapist I have ever been to. She is always willing to try new techniques and no matter what she always is able to find the areas that need the most work. I am so thankful that I started seeing her. Highly highly recommend.

I got a massage there the other day and it was fabulous. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the lady who did my back but I will make sure when I go again, I will ask for the same person. She was amazing.

Came with severe pain in my lower back due to a performance related injury. Left being able to fully bend over again and much more functionality. Very pleased with the relaxing environmental as well. Highly recommend trigger point therapy for your pain!

I called to get information, because my sister has been in pain with her back. I live out of state I found this place, online. I'm so glad I did. I spoke to the owner she is truly amazing, she was so helpful and knowledgeable and kind. She called my sister to find out more about her pain. She is more concerned about her clients Heath, then just taking someone in and not knowing. I would recommend Armory Massage Therapy, to everyone. It was the best experience. Thank you

Great experience! first time ever getting a massage, plus I'm dealing with a recent neck/back injury, so I was very tense and nervous. Melissa was outstanding, she listened to my concerns and tailored her approach to accommodate my nerves and also avoid my injury. She did a great job. Very professional and knowledgeable - I felt significantly better after my appointment. I highly recommend this place and plan on returning for routine treatment.

I see Liz as my message therapist, I see her every few weeks. Liz knows her information, is amazing in her work that she does, and she uses different techniques to help loosen up the tight muscles. She has help relieved my pain in my shoulders and in my neck. The rest of the staff at Armory Message does great work. Melissa you have a amazing staff and I am grateful for all the hard work that your staff and you do, and all the long hours that you and your staff put in. I always look forward to my next session with Liz. I would rate them as a 5 plus star because of the amazing work that they do.

Um, everything? Treatments, decor. All of the therapists are phenomenal, and Melissa Heavener is the best person on this planet. Maybe others too.

Liz is a life-saver and really knows massage therapy. She reduced my neck pain significantly and helped me through a rough emotional time as well. Ten stars. Edit: After a few more sessions, I would like to reiterate my ten-star review for Liz and for Armory Massage in general. I walked in today feeling like a complete wreck in all ways possible, and left feeling completely different, for the better, physically, emotionally, and psychologically.

All their therapists seem to be great, and Liz has reduced my neck pain more than all sorts of other treatments, some way more expensive and invasive than massage, including direct cortisone injections into my spine. IMHO, she is a miracle.

Great massage therapist. I see Michelle and she's the best therapist I've ever had. She's very knowledgeable about the body and uses some techniques that I haven't experienced elsewhere. The shop is also nice, Comfortable and a great decor. Parking in the city is a bit tough but if you're patient you can usually get a decent spot on or just down the street

I'm likely not the best critic for this given that this was the second massage I've ever gotten and it's been years since my first so I do not have much to compare this to. With that said, this was the most relaxing 60 minutes I've had probably all year. The reception area was welcoming and clean, intake was quick and simple, the restrooms were very clean and the massage was amazing.

I opted for 60 minutes and technique to release some stress and focus on some trouble spots I've had for years. I felt every bit of the massage through my entire body and left feeling brand new. I made my next appointment before I even left so I didn't forget how amazing it was!

Such a tranquil office in downtown Syracuse. The staff is friendly, and professional. Whichever therapist you see, you know you will get a therapeutic, effective treatment. Never have I once been disappointed. I cannot recommend this place enough!

I've never had a bad experience at Armory Massage; have had a pretty funny one actually. The last time I went I got a foot massage that helped bring feeling back to the upper part of the bottom of both feet, as I have a bit of neuropathy, and that was greatly appreciated. :-

I don't know how I'd have survived the past couple of months without Melissa. She put her expertise to work, helping to ease the pain in my arms and back, and allowing me to continue working and performing at a normal level. She has deftly employed a variety of techniques, and truly cares about her clients' well being. Melissa is not only a top-notch massage therapist, but a genuinely good person, who takes her work seriously. The atmosphere is relaxed and calming, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend Melissa or Armory Massage Therapy highly enough.

SO I used Yelp to help me find a place for my boyfriend to get a professional massage since he had an athletic injury that I wasn't able to fully help him with. Not only did he say the room was uncomfortably well lit (he felt on display) but he said it was the worst massage he'd ever had, that mine were better. I thought he might be humoring me some until the nail marks showed up all around his neck.

He said his masseuse seemed really sweet but inexperienced and awkward and had not bothered to clip her nails nor did she try to keep them out of the way. I never leave bad reviews anywhere, but not only did I have to massage him when he got home (literally what he went there for), but for the price he paid, we could have gone out to dinner three times.

A professional massage is something either of us only splurges on every few years and we had he money to spend so it doesn't affect us that much but other people should know to be cautious. Maybe it was just a bad time of day (closing) maybe she really was new or maybe it was some other random occurrence, but still.

I made a last minute appointment here while I was visiting family. I am so glad I did! I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for a couple years now and I have been seeing a chiropractor to help relieve the pain. Jamie did more in an hour than the chiropractor has done in a year to relieve the tension and pains in my neck and shoulders! I wanted a deep massage and it was perfect- she knew when to let up when it got to be too painful. My neck feels so much better. I definitely wish I lived closer so I could be a regular!

I'm not one who often gets a massage. But after a stress-induced migraine, I booked an hour appointment. Just what the doctor ordered! Came out feeling much better with all those knots our of my shoulders and neck. I'll be going back.

Ample parking downtown, easy to locate, polite and welcoming staff, talented and thorough massage therapist. I will definitely be back in the near future! Just what I needed to destress!

Great ladies here who are amazing massage therapists! They have done too many bodily fixes for me to count. And they are wonderful to my 86-year old mom too.

They were able to fit me in that day. The environment is very welcoming. Masseuse asks for needs and wants in the massage. The hour went by too fast!

I was in disabilitating pain and Ti was able to bring me back to life. Knowledgeable and very professional. Definitely be back.

I just moved to Syracuse and found this place based on reviews I saw online, and I have to agree. they do pretty good work! I have gone to Sam twice now and she is amazing. she always works the knots out of my shoulders (where I carry the most tension) and I feel so much more relaxed when I leave. it's located right off the main chic area of downtown so parking is not easy to find, but once you are inside and relaxing on the table you forget all about it! Prices are about average. $65/hour for Swedish massage. They have great hours too. open a little later than most places. if you're looking for a relaxing way to spend the day I would recommend getting a massage from Sam! :)

Called to get a massage on a Saturday morning because I had tweaked my back. Was able to get in at noon and saw Samantha. Fantastic massage and stretches that really helped my back. The building is just down from Kitty Hoynes in Armory square. Very nice place with well appointed massage rooms. Samantha is fabulous. One of, if not the best, massage I have ever had. For a a small woman, she has amazing strength and can go as "deep" as you want, I assure you.
