Gervais Day Spa & Salon

I was pretty disappointed. I made an appt for a cut (for 5/14) and several texts and phone calls within 2 days as a constant reminder was very off-putting. I have damage from a different stylist elsewhere, and I wanted to chop it off and start fresh. I told her (Emily)this quite a few times. After washing my hair, she started using a large brush to brush it out.

I've never had a salon service that didn't use a comb on wet hair. I could literally feel the stands breaking on the brush, and said something. So she put it away and grabbed. another brush. I had to insist that she use a comb. That isn't normal, especially for a supposed 'high end' establishment. I was wanting a Bob or a longer Bob (and started that many times), whatever it takes to get the dead off.

She trimmed it down maybe 2 inches, and I had to reiterate AGAIN, that I wanted the dead cut off (you could still clearly see there was a lot left). She cut another inch off. I also said many times I wanted layers. I didn't get layers, it's a straight across cut. And I wasn't going to sit there for another hour, having her cut off an inch at a time.

I literally showed her photos of what I wanted, and repeated it many times. Just getting a layered Bob (especially when my hair isn't very long to begin with) shouldn't have been this frustrating. My hair is still past my collarbone, nothing near what I repeatedly asked for. I had high hopes for this place, but won't be back. I'll find another place that can give me what I ask for, instead of everything but. The stylist was polite, but I didn't get anything that I had asked for. I would imagine she's pretty fresh out of school, since she didn't seem to understand the basics).

I went in about a month ago and I asked for a certain color and it didn't come out the way I wanted at all and after speaking with the stylist to fix it she wanted to charge me another $100 on top of the $220 I had already paid to do something to do something that wouldn't even fix it. I know another person who got their hair fixed with no cost so I guess some stylist just don't work with others fairly.

I'm super unhappy with my hair and now I have to just wait for it to fade out I guess. I will NEVER go there again. The nice fancy setting will fool you the stylist aren't that good.

My pedicure was awful. She literally burned my feet with hot wax, and rushed through the polish, leaving bubbles and streaks. The spray tan lasted less than a week, despite doing everything I was told to do to keep it looking good. My daughter gave me a gift certificate and they could find no record after my first visit despite having used less than half of the value. I won't go back.

Amanda is amazing. Im not a huge people person, my first trip to the salon I was a little overwhelmed there were alot of stylist and ALOT of customers. But everyone was so welcoming, I felt comfortable right away. I now drive 2hrs from my home to this salon every 2 weeks. Well worth it!

Emily Thompson was wonderful! Have had only few good hair experiences in past and this one was perfect! Hated to wash my hair and definitely will plan on returning and recommending other people!

I had my hair cut and colored, my hairdresser Robert did a AWESOME job. If you need a new you like l did go to Gervais. Robert made me feel beautiful and l am going back to get my nails done. Enjoyed treating myself.

I've been coming to this salon for over 10 years and they are the absolute best. The staff is always friendly and professional. I mostly use the hair services but I've had their spa manicures and pedicures and it is luxurious and relaxing. I've also had the hot stone massage and I highly recommend it. I've never felt more relaxed. While I'm particular about who cuts my hair and have been a client of Lisa's exclusively for over 10 years any time I've had to get my hair cut by another stylist I've never been disappointed!

I've never had any issues with scheduling or rude staff. I've only had my appoint reschedule ONE time in over a decade and it was for a very good reason. Lisa even did my hair for my wedding and I had a makeup artist from the salon as well for our wedding in 2012. I love this place.

The first picture was my hair before, a grown out 1+ year old balayage. I was nervous to get it dyed again because i'm very picky with the way my hair looks. But Amanda did an amazing job on my hair! she was thorough, walked me through what she was doing, and made sure I was comfortable at all times. The atmosphere is inviting & I plan on returning for future touch ups.

A luxurious experience for sure. Begin with a foot soak, then onto a 70 minute deep tissue massage. The deep tissue massage was amazing. I'm pretty sure my masseuse was Tom. He did an excellent job!

I've always had excellent service at Gervais, but my most recent appointment was the best. I was able to get a last minute appointment in with Simone, and without any warning asked to go from a red head to brunette. Within 3 hours I was back to my natural (if not improved) hair color. She has a strong skill set, a great attitude, and knows how to do good hair. LOVE THIS PLACE! Below are before, during, and after pictures.
