The front desk attendant who scheduled my next appointment made a mistake and booked an appointment for me with the wrong massage therapist. She realized the mistake right after she booked it, and booked the correct appointment for me. I asked if she had removed the appointment I DID NOT ASK FOR and she advised me she had. Today I receive an email stating I will be charged for this appointment.
This is absolutely ridiculous. If my card is charged, I will be filing a charge back. If this situation is resolved in a timely manner I will update my review to reflect that, and update my rating.

Chad is THE reason I come to urban sanctuary. Next level professionalism, always makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed in the setting, clearly knows his stuff, literally every time I leave, I do it feeling like I have new legs like I'm lieutenant dan or some h*ck. As a waitress, my work puts serious wear and tear on my body, and thank good Chad is there to set me straight. Give this man a raise!

Chad is THE reason I come to urban sanctuary. I'm a waitress, which really wrecks my body. Chad is *so* knowledgeable about the workings of the body, so deft at creating a comfortable environment and so responsive to feedback and instruction - he's the only person I trust to fix the wreckage working a busy parents weekend Saturday does on my body. I leave my sessions with him feeling all "New legs, lieutenant Dan!" Someone give this man a raise!

Screwed up my partner's reservation - even when he confirmed the date twice during the call. Didn't even have the confirmation email correct. When we came in for the appointment, the front desk staff didn't seem to care one bit that their mistake had ruined our date night. They had us scheduled for nearly a month later and acted like my partner must have purposefully scheduled for that evening (not even close to the date he specified). Cancelled the useless appointment and will not be returning.

I went for an Urban Signature Massage. Upon entering, I was greeted with relaxing sounds of 'music' throughout the facility. They greated me and gave me a warmed neck pillow to use while I filled out the paperwork that would allow them to personalize my facial to my specific skin type. Morgan did a great job and I was totally relaxed the whole time.
The facial also included a hand and arm massage. Everyone was friendly and professional. I went back for a Swedish massage with concentration in my upper shoulder area and Wendi did a great job of getting the knots out and was friendly and professional as well.

If I could give it a negative star I would- The customer service is terrible. I'm not one to complain about a business on social media- especially a local one! But it's been a week and this still bothers me and hasn't been resolved satisfactorily. And I hope I can save someone else the hassle. A couple of months ago Dwayne and I got a membership to URBAN SANCTUARY for massages monthly.
They deduct over $100 from our account monthly. We've gone every month. We missed a visit in September due to dad being sick with Covid. (They told me they would roll over that month) Last week Dwayne was stuck in traffic because he was sent to a job in Atlanta and wouldn't make it to the appointment (no big deal but kind of sucked) so I went on to my scheduled massage and I asked the receptionist if my friend could come take Dwaynes appointment.
She had to ask someone on the office. She comes back. Says Yes. So I call my friend. The receptionist tells me she has to create an account for my friend so we do that. And I tell them she will cover the tip for the therapist. I also tell her that I didn't want Dwayne to miss a massage for the month, since Laura was getting the massage today could we use his rollover from September.
She again asks someone and comes back. The lady emerges from the office and tells me there's no rollover for us (although other workers there have said there was). She questioned me about why we missed September and I explained to her. So she said they would grant the rollover. (That everyone else that works there has already said we have) so the use that and book Dwaynes massage.
So it's pretty clear to me that Laura is using the massage that day and Dwayne was using his rollover and I still had my rollover. We do the massages and I go to leave. The receptionist stops me and asks if Laura was paying for her massage. So I remind her of the conversation. The lady emerges from the office and says it doesn't work like that. I'm confused.
She says she told me that the 'membership is not transferable'. I'm not calling anyone a liar, but there was me and 1 other lady standing there. It's a spa. it's quiet. I never heard that sentence and if I had- it still wouldn't tell me that my friend couldn't use the massage for that day. That one day. Not the remainder of the membership. And I had referenced in my conversation about Laura using Dwaynes massage and she would cover the tip.
So after permission was granted for Laura to get the massage they made me pay $120 for another massage. The lady then tells me they've been as nice as they can be about granting me my rollover and making me pay for the massage like she did me a favor. So we cancelled our membership. There's a better place we used, we only went to urban sanctuary because it was closer than the other place.
But now we will go back to the other place. So there's that- of anyone is thinking about using URBAN SANCTUARY- chose another place or just understand the rules are flexible and who knows what they are. Because they say one thing- then charge you again.

Gorgeous spa with talented masseuses. A fantastic "urban sanctuary." Edit: My massage experience was so good that I came back for a manicure. The nail tech, Patrisa, was phenomenal. She is kind, so smart, and such a clearly caring person! We had a great conversation - so good I almost forgot I was getting my nails done! (They look superb, by the way.)
