Jennifer is very caring and professional and now you can schedule treatments with her at City Magnolia Day Spa in Frederick, MD. I have been to other acupuncturist before and they were not able to help with my health issues. Just with one session with Jennifer and I can tell a difference right away! My main complaint was knee pain, but she went the extra mile and treated other issues that she was able to detect.

My knee feels better and that's only with one session! I will definitely keep having more sessions and hopefully my issues will go away! Don't put it off any longer, if you have any health issues, make sure to see Jennifer!

Just finished up my prenatal massage with Becky and I have to say it was the most relaxing and much needed experience ever! Everything from start to finish was perfect! I'm in my third trimester and obviously very uncomfortable! I feel 100 times a more relaxed. Thank you!

I normally go to the spa for a massage but decided to treat myself this time to a Vitamin C facial with Fariba! All I can say is that it was AMAZING. What a wonderful experience I had. My face is still glowing from the facial and for how happy it made me feel when I needed a bit of "ME TIME". Please go and TREAT YO SELF to a fabulous facial with Fariba. You won't regret it!

My previous spa experience is the Red Door Spa (now out of business) so I'd say I came in with high expectations. I scheduled 3 services through the website app. One specialty service I couldn't find in the app so I put it in the memo section, and they called me later to schesule the correct service. Super helpful over the phone. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and led to the back changing room with robes, slippers and lockers.

It was very clean and well maintained. I waited in a softly lit waiting room with calm music playing while I waited to get started. My first service was a massage. We talked a little about what I was looking for and I was offered an upgrade to CBD oil, which I accepted. I appreciated the offer, and I liked that it was offered but it didn't feel pushy to me.

My massage was wonderful and she listened when I said I preferred a heavy pressure. Second was a salt scrub, which was incredible - back to the changing room for the shower after that one, and the third service was a facial. I was again offered a small upgrade. The aesthetician felt a different facial was appropriate and I appreciated her expertise.

All in all, I'd say this was a really relaxing experience, really high end and totally worth every penny. This will be where I come for my regular spa treatments from now on!

I was a little reluctant to schedule an apt because I didn't know what to expect due to the changes Covid-19 had on businesses. I scheduled the apt. and found out that I certainly had nothing to be concerned/reluctant about. I am a returning customer and must say that I was not disappointed in the least. The spa was clean and tranquil. The receptionist are extremely pleasant and helpful as usual.

The massage therapist was exceptional. She told me where she found potential tissue. issues and provided recommendations. I have been to numerous upscale resort spas and I tell you City Magnolia is right of there with them I always tell others the it is my hidden gem.

I have been going to City Magnolia for years. The staff has always been friendly, made me feel welcomed, and the spa has always been clean. I love Violeta one of the Master Estheticians--she truly is a master at her job. Kind, thoughtful and skilled at what she does. I would definitely recommend this place. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I have not tried all of the services yet!

ALEXANDRA is a talented massage therapist and truly strives to make your experience at her Spa relaxing and healing. I always feel much better when I leave! If you need a facial, ask for VIOLETA! She will make you look and feel like a new person and give you some tips for home skincare. I got the royal treatment and people def noticed a difference after my facial! The professionals at the Spa love their work and are genuinely kind and attentive to your concerns. They even gave me a bonus on my Birthday, what's not to LOVE about City?!

I've been coming once a year for a massage and recently got a facial and paraffin body wrap from Fariba. This place is amazing, the massage therapist have been professional, friendly and have always made me feel comfortable. Fariba did and amazing job with my facial and body wrap. The prices are reasonable for the excellent quality and service provided and I know I will continue to come back.

I just went back for my first appointment since the pandemic began, and found the salon experience to be organized and efficient. I was very comfortable there and everything seemed very clean. Violetta is so wonderful for all skin care and I'm so glad to be seeing her again!

Alex did a wonderful massage on me: completely put me in a trance. Violeta did the best facial I have had in my whole life: absolutely heavenly. The entire staff is so friendly. 10 out of 10 would do again.

Decided to try this Spa before I gave my Wife a Gift Certificate and was Very Happy with the service provided by Violetta. 5 Huge Stars and my Wife will be there soon. Highly recommend!

I have been here before and had a good experience. But the last time I went I was very disappointed. My husband and I went for a couples massage. We were greeted by a woman at the front desk. As we filled out paperwork she proceeded to tell us how the salon next door "likes to party" and plays loud music. She then told us that at least it's not as bad as the gym that was two doors down.

She said it was so loud you can't relax. I felt this was very unprofessional and not the place for her to bash the neighboring businesses. As we went to sit in the waiting area we saw empty glasses from other patrons, wrappers from chocolates and a very untidy food area. Again, not professional. We were told to change in the bathroom, but they had not yet prepared the robes and slippers and waited as the staff ran to grab our changes of clothes.

Once I was in the bathroom, someone knocked on the door. It must have been one of the staff members because when I came out I found my neck pillow sitting on my chair - which was then not warm. I had Susie as my massage therapist. I am surprised she is a certified. She lacked technique and spend most of my 80 minutes rubbing me with her open hand and did not show any skill or knowledge of the body.

She did not pay attention to my trouble area and when I asked her to increase pressure there was no change. My husband had Alexandria and said she was excellent! He was very happy with the massage. When I went to pay I was quoted over the phone a different price than the amount charged. I see (from the website) I was charged the correct price but it seemed as though the person on the phone was incorrect.

I just say, If each of these things happened separately I would not be disappointed, but each of these things resulting in a bad experience. I called and spoke to Susie, the manager, about my experience. She was very defensive, made excuses saying it was a Saturday and said she did not know how to resolve this. She said she wrote down everything and hopes I give them another chance.

She told me the owner would contact me - that has not happened. As of now, I will not be returning to this place. I do not feel this was resolved adequately. I expect if I pay $298 for a couples massage I will have a better experience and customer service.

These guys are Amazing! Alex is an incredible massage therapist! Violeta gave me excellent skin care advice! Highly recommend this Spa! Ten stars!

My husband and I had the Valentine's Day package couple massage yesterday, the masseuses were really good I will give them 4 out of 5 starts. My biggest problem was trying to relax and have a peaceful session when all I could hear is people screaming, slamming cabinets, loud music and the sound of a blow dry next door. The masseuses knew the music next door was loud, and they offered to call them.

But even if they could have call them to turn the music down, they wouldn't be able to get rid of the slamming of the cabinets and blow dries sound. Unfortunately, our massage session didn't meet our expectations.

I am very picky when it comes to selecting a masseur. I had Heather Dahl as my masseur. I swear she has magic hands. I will follow her anywhere she works at. All of my body tensions and stress practically melted away. I also tried the hot stones and it's phenomenal. Do give it a try if you haven't done so. I decided to splurge and treat myself to a facial treatment. I had Violet and she was wonderful.

I planned a bachelorette party for my sister in law at this spa and we had a BLAST from the moment we walked in! The staff was SO friendly and made us feel so welcomed and made the bride feel so special! They even bought the bride a bouquet of flowers and had snacks and champagne glasses ready for us. It was so warm and cozy. Aside from the staff themselves, the facial and massage were AMAZING! We feel so relaxed. Will definitely be back!

Peaceful, relaxing, rejuvenating! My husband and I enjoyed a couples massage from Brian and Susie. They were awesome! They spent several minutes to understand our preference and adjusted the session accordingly. As always Magnolia delivered an excellent experience with great customer service!

I visited City Magnolia Spa today for a facial. It was the first time for me, but not the first facial. I've actually had quite a few and this was one of the better ones I've experienced. Violeta was warm, caring, knowledgeable and skilled. She talked me through the facial, which if you're new to them, is nice. There's a soft sell to purchase their products, but not pushy.

I thought the facial itself was reasonably priced. I didn't ask about pricing for the products. Everything that was used on my skin smelled and felt great. The staff is incredibly welcoming and warm. They were constantly checking in on me to ensure I was having a good experience. There's a nice waiting/relaxation room with water and snacks. It's by no means the Red Door spa waiting room, but they've done a nice job with the space.

I did find it odd that the lockers were in the bathroom/shower area which means you would have to wait to get your stuff if that room was occupied. The one drawback for me is that the spa is next door to a gym. The majority of the time I could hear a man's voice and the bass from the music. Certainly not the spa's fault. Even after an increase in the volume of the music and some white noise relaxation sounds, I could still hear it all. It made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience.

I visited with my girlfriend for a 90 minute massage. We were served refreshments and a hot neck towel while waiting to change. We had separate changing rooms that were very cozy. Tatiana was my masseuse, and she did an amazing job. The entire staff was friendly, warm and receptive. My girlfriend and I left feeling relaxed, which is definitely how you want to feel leaving. I will definitely be going back in the future.

I visited this spa today for the first time because my family gave me gift card for my birthday. I have mixed feelings about this spa. I reserved a 10am Summer Special. This included a dry brushing with a mud and a seaweed back mask and massage (80 minutes for $145). They were very prompt with getting me started at 10am. After filling out my paperwork I was escorted to the Magnolia Room (waiting area) and bathroom.

I was given a robe and shown the lockers where I could put my personal items. I got undressed and robed and sat in the Magnolia Room to drink my tea and wait for my masseuse came to get me before I finished, but that was fine. THE GOOD: The back brushing and wrap weren't anything special. I didn't feel any different because of it, but hopefully it did it's detoxifying job!

The massage was good. It was supposed to be a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue. I've never had a female masseuse because I like firm pressure. I had a female today and was pleasantly surprised at how firmly she applied pressure. She was able to find all the right spots that needed working on without me telling her. This wasn't my favorite massage because I like deep tissue and this was more Swedish.

She did a good job. THE BAD: During my massage, someone opened the door! My masseuse stopped immediately then the door closed. I don't know who it was because I was face down. Unacceptable! Also during my massage I heard the constant hum of a saw, workers yelling, and hammering! I asked who was yelling, and she said that the people next door get pretty noisy.

This definitely took away from the tranquility and ability to relax. The worst part of the entire experience was when I showered and was trying to get dressed. The lockers are inside the bathroom where there is one open toilet and shower. This is a terrible place for lockers. As I stood there with no clothes on trying to put on lotion someone knocked on the door saying something that I couldn't understand because of the waterfall sound coming through the speakers, so I said "someone's in here".

I wasn't able to open the door because I had already thrown my towel and robe into the hamper and there was nothing else to cover up with. Within two minutes the same person came back and started knocking on the door repeatedly until I was able to finish putting on clothes and open it! An employee, Alexandra, was standing there looking and apologizing.

The woman said that she needed to get her clothes and shoes! The lockers need to be moved for that very reason. I was very annoyed by this. I would be upset if I was on the other end of the door and someone was taking a shower and I needed my belonging. I didn't like this at all. I go to the spa to escape and relax-not to be annoyed. When I went to check out the scanner wasn't working so the associate went to the other one hoping that it worked.

It did. As I waited for her to finish my transaction employee Alexandra asked if I would mind if they checked another customer out first! The same woman that was knocking on the door incessantly! I told yes I did mind and that the girl said that the scanner worked. This was very poor. This along with the construction and knocking ruined my experience. I still have money left on my gift card, but I'm debating on giving them a second chance.

I've been a client here for many years. I think they are under new management now, but I've been happy to see that the high quality is just the same. I recently had an incredibly relaxing Swedish massage here by a therapist who is new to City Magnolia. I think her name was Alex. This massage was so gentle and relaxing that I fell asleep! She had a wonderful touch. Prices are extremely reasonable, just $85 for a 55-minute massage.

My daughters arranged a full body massage for my birthday at City Magnolia. It was an awesome experience! Very friendly staff that is attentive to your needs. The location is in a prime area and has reasonable prices.

City Magnolia Day Spa provided an outstanding facial and massage for me and my daughter! I was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem hidden in Urbana. If you need to unwind and relax, or just deserve a special treat, I highly recommend City Magnolia. You will not be disappointed! We had the Southern package which included lunch from Mangi E Bevi! We can't wait to go back!

I went to City Magnolia to get a massage for very specific back pain. The ambiance is very peaceful and warm. I changed into a robe and had a warm neckwrap. Kathy listened to my problem and request and gave me EXACTLY what I asked for during a 55 minute massage. I'll be back!
