I have been going to Urban for 20 years. Larissa & Erin ARE SIMPLY THE BEST! It's like going to your best friend's spa- literally! Intimate, professional, amazing facials, fair pricing and greats services overall. And they created their own skincare products MIA MARCIA? JUST love it!

Erin's recommendations were all amazing! My skin is clean and glowing! Plus, she did derma blading for my first time and my skin is incredibly smooth. I feel rejuvenated!

I went to get a facial here and initially had a good experience other than when I came for first visit I opened the door which they forgot to lock and saw a woman being waxed in a private area( she shut the door and apologized). I then had a lash tint done by Erin and had a bad reaction ( eyelid infection for over a month and had to take antibiotics to get rid of it and dr told me most likely from The aesthetician using a toothpick to apply the tint( other aestheticians used a soft brush to ensure less skin irritation ).

I was offered a complimentary facial, which I received and enjoyed. I attempted to book another facial with Erin who didn't respond until a 2nd text who said she was on vacation and could refer me to someone else. I texted I'd prefer to wait for her return. Her response was she didn't think I was a good customer for her, called me Jeff( not Fred ) and she could refer me to someone else. Asked her why she didn't want to provide services and her response " there seems to be an issue when I work on you". Don't recommend as very unprofessional how I was treated.

WOW! Best facials ever! A combination of the personalities of owners Larissa & Erin (and ALL the staff) and the environment they create and then of course all the fabulous products they use. They even created their own product line! They also do a yummy pumpkin facial in the Fall! So relaxing and rejuvenating! I can't wait to book my next one! 10 out of 10 RECOMMEND!

Owner's Erin and Larissa really paper their clients and take the time to get to know you and find out what goals you have for your skin. They are great with problem skin and flareups and have saved my skin many times before a red carpet event! They customize treatments to fit you and what you need: I love their holistic approach to skincare and the amazing products they use! FIVE STARS & then some for the spa, the service, the aestheticians, and the products. The Urban Girls, Erin & Larissa, just launched their own line of skin care products, MiaMarcia, which is receiving rave reviews & quickly becoming "THE" beauty must- have items. Larissa recommended using the MiaMarcia BOD Moisturizer when shaving to minimize irritation to my super sensitive skin.

If you're like me, you probably thought, "What? I can use a moisturizer for shaving?" Who knew? Answer: The Urban Girls! This has seriously been a game changer & no more itchy skin for me. I'm now hooked on the MiaMarcia BOD line which also includes a face/body oil & an amazing exfoliator. My skin could not be happier :

Just when I thought Urban couldn't get better. they launch their own skincare line! Mind blown! These girls are amazing at what they do, super professional and down to earth, and they know their stuff! The MIAMARCIA products that I've tried so far have been amazing too. Larissa has been with me through acne battles as a teenager, then again in adulthood.

Now that I finally have it under control, her facials have done wonders to help smooth and even out my old acne scars. Besides this, I've had some beautiful spray tans, the fastest brazilian wax of my life, and some really nice lash extensions over the years. I know I can count on these girls to take great care of me every time!

I love Urban Skin Care! Truly. I've been going there for about 6 years now and I can't get enough of Erin and Larissa. Not only are they waxing experts (quick and painless always), but they have totally transformed my skin. I struggled with adult acne in my early and mid 20's, and over the years they've taken extra time to understand my skin, come up with a regimen to heal and maintain it as well as give extra tips and tricks for best skin care practices at home.

Their spa is cozy, inviting and relaxing and honestly you're crazy if you're a San Diego local and haven't tried this place yet! I promise you won't regret it! I love my Urban Skin Care!

I've been going to Erin at Urban Skin Care for almost 7 years and have had the best experience. I've also seen Larissa and and she equally amazing. I went to see Michelle at Urban Skin Care today for a full lash set and was so happy I did! Michelle was very professional, took great care of me, did a beautiful job on my lashes, and played great music. I was so relaxed I even nodded off a couple of times! Michelle asked me about my preferences for the look I wanted, but I completely trusted her to do whatever she felt would look best. If you're thinking about getting lashes, please go see Michelle! You won't regret it!

I would give 10 stars if I could. The salon is beautiful and relaxing but what sets it apart are the owners and employees. I have been a client for almost a decade and finally joining the 21st century to leave some much deserved love. They are professional and crazy fast. Make you feel comfortable and do such an amazing job. I highly recommend!

Love, love, love Urban Skin Care. I have been a client for 10 fantastic years! Erin has been working with me for years to improve the health of my skin. I have never been disappointed and I've done everything from lash perms to Brazilian wax. I'm there every 4-6 weeks for my facial and every time I feel leaving brand new thanks to Erin. I will never go anywhere else- Erin, Larissa and Jessica are great and they treat you like royalty.

Urban Skin Care is awesome! I have been seeing Erin for at least 12 years (if not more). Erin is knowledgeable, skilled, and overall amazing. She is the only one I trust with my skin! When I first starting seeing her, I had adult acne and redness on my face. It took time, but now I'm acne free and the redness is gone. It is great that they customize treatments to my needs/issues and keep track of what has been done/works.

Including Erin, the Urban Skin Care family are all friendly and welcoming. I love talking with Jessica and Anna, and it is a bonus when I see Larissa. The space is serene and relaxing. It is a joy to walk in and have the stress of the day and the afternoon traffic fade away. I always feel refreshed when I leave. I was introduced to Urban Skin Care through a client a little over 2 years ago. I went in for my first-ever facial and have been returning every single month since! Not only are the owners Erin + Larissa absolutely wonderful people and have become friends of mine, but my skin is as beautiful as it's ever been. If you know what you like you can book particular facials, or if you're like me, I just let them work their magic based on what we did the month prior as well as the current state of my skin. I appreciate the customization since all skin is different and they're great at identifying what works best for whom. Highly recommend.

I seriously LOVE the ladies of Urban! Owners Erin and really get to know their clients and truly pamper them! They take time to learn what your skincare goals are and customize your treatments to meet your needs. They always remind me to relax and be calm, and as soon as you get to their spa you feel zen! I have had brown. spots and problem skin and they have seriously done miracles for me.

SPACE: The Urban spa is like a slice of your dream home; bright, open, beautiful, calming, & relaxing. You will most likely be greeted by Jessica (the sweetest soul) at the front desk; always with a warm smile & the BEST customer service you have ever had. WHO: All the Urban women are caring & lovely, but my aesthetician is Larissa.

She is pure beauty; inside & out. And she will make you feel (and look) your most beautiful self. WHAT: Besides sun protection & the other healthy life choices, regular facials are the best thing for your skin. Larissa knows ALL about the latest techniques, products AND the science behind them. Her facials WORK and so do the products she recommends.

I have 18 years of experience /evidence to back this up! I don't mind getting older (too much) and Larissa is helping me do that, gracefully. I'm often told that I do not look my age and when you're in your mid-40s, those words are music. TIP: Try ear candling if you have bad allergies or seasonal allergy flare-ups. The candling gave me wonderful head/sinus congestion relief!

If you read an unfavorable review of this business and its amazing women, know that this is a) an outlier, NOT the norm and/or, b) some people just cannot be satisfied. For skin care/rejuvenation, pampering, waxing, or even just a spray tan, Urban Skin Care is THE place to go!

I've had the pleasure of visiting this establishment many times. I am most impressed by the fact that I have not once waited. Walked in for my appt and I was taken to the back for my treatment immediately. I love that type of treatment! Thank you so much! Can't wait to go back next month!

The best estheticians in San Diego! Erin and Larisa are so skilled and knowledgeable about all things beauty, waxing and facials. I've had amazing facials from Erin just recently and would recommend her to anyone! They are also amazing women and business owners-- who wouldn't want to support such a great company!

I have to say, Urban Skin Care is amazing! It is a very clean spa that is made for relaxation. I parked at Balboa Park and enjoyed a nice walk over because parking near by can be a challenge. But the beautiful walk to and from Balboa Park just added to the whole relaxation experience. I am a Black women that suffers from oily and uneven skin tone.

I got microdermabrasion - I didn't know it include a facial and upper body massage. THEN.as a birthday gift, they gave me a free eyebrow wax and color tinting. I had never had my eyebrows tinted, but now I can't look at myself without the color tinting. It improved my whole appearance. My esthetician told me about the products available and items she used on my face.

I thought, oh no.here we go selling me expensive products! But I was sooooo wrong! She didn't come across like the "sales" person. Instead, she was informing me on their products to help me to maintain and improve my skin care. But there was no pressure. The bonus, is their products are very affordable! I will be a returning customer!

I'm like a vampire and try to avoid the sun at all costs. Hey! I don't want wrinkles or sun damage. Alas, I was looking extra pale and was in need of a touch of color before a recent vacation to Mexico. So Urban Skincare it was! I must admit I picked them mostly because they are literally 2 mins from my house. But I'm so glad I did.

The gal that did my spray tan was super friendly and informative. She also made sure to ask me what my end goal was and walked me through my options to achieve it. The results were gorgeous. No streaks and not toooo tan. The color was beautiful! The pricing was reasonable and worth every penny! The studio itself is clean and cute. The gal at the front desk was friendly.

Oh and when I called to make the appointment they were super helpful too! Overall a wonderful experience. I know that I will be back. In fact, I'm starting to look a little pale again so I'll be making an appointment tomorrow!

I don't even think I've written a bad review before on yelp, but I honestly can't help it. I'm so embarrassed at how awful my last spray tan came out. The last time I got the most beautiful glow when I went in January. She was careful to put lotion on knuckles hands elbows ankles and toes. She talked me through the process and I walked out with a sun kissed glow to be jealous of.

This time was the opposite. Instead of the young lady I had last time, I got Andrea who had a sweet personality. Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say after that. I told her how I liked the color from last time with the bronzer before washing it off (an 8 on their scale) and this time we did a ten. She did not take time to put lotion on dry areas and her application was AWFUL.

She insisted I get the 10 sprayed on me not once but twice to get the look I wanted, that was my first mistake is taking the professionals word for it. I have full length streaks down my sides and on one of legs from the first coat to the second. But the absolute worst is my hands. I look like I have a SERIOUS pigment disease. I actually cried when I got home and was the laughing stock of my friends last weekend.

You lost a return costumer, and I'm so sorry to say so. I called twice and haven't been able to get through to talk about my experience. I would email but last time I did that it took almost a week to hear back.

If you want eyelash extensions go see Paige! She does amazing work. I'm always obsessed with my lashes! This spa is super cute & Paige is super sweet! Plenty of street (meter) parking!

It has been 6 days since I have had my eyelashes permed by Larissa & they still look as if I had gotten them freshly done today! Urban Skin Care is such a nice, soothing space. They specialize is a whole range of beauty treatments such as facials, eyelash extensions, waxing, & much more. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed & pampered. The bed I laid on for my eyelash perm was incredibly comfortable & the room was so relaxing I could have fallen asleep. Larissa is so friendly, sweet, & very informative!

The perm was a little painful but so worth it when my stick straight eyelashes transformed into a bouncy curl. $55 & if you check in on Yelp, you can get $10 off for any service! Street parking is available & parking is not too bad in the mornings. It is kind of hard to spot but if you know where the birthing center is in Hillcrest, you will be able to find the place just fine.
