I have seen BJ for treatment work and he pure gold! Very effective technique and no cookie-cutter massage. I am a therapist myself and I am naturally very picky about body work. BJ's technique is very effective. He is a very nice and kind person and is very responsive to feedback. The clinic is clean, neat, and inviting. The table is very comfortable.

Everyone wears masks. I would like to add, please ignore the 1 star review below about insurance billing issues. It is insurance fraud to bill massage therapy under a physical therapists is a massage therapist performed the treatment. I am sure his insurance changed after he saw Lake Washington Massage therapist. If your insurance covers massage only when it's done by a chiro or PT, that means you may not go to a licensed massage therapist and get your treatment paid by insurance, you have to go to a chiro or a PT. just means PT or chiropractor can bill 97124 code for manual therapy that they do. Like when a chiro uses a little buzzing machine that vibrates your muscles. Also, everyone is responsible for their own insurance benefits. It's your insurance afterall.

I just started going to BIH and I love it. I saw Marie Kiltz and she was amazing. I'm seeing them for my scoliosis and I felt great after my first appointment. Can't wait for my second appointment.

BIH is amazing! Started going to the massage therapists there after my car accident. The treatments have helped so much! I'm usually very picky about massages, but found everyone at BIH to be very skilled and helpful. Definitely the best place in the city if you're looking to improve mobility, release pain, and/or rehabilitate from an injury.

If your insurance covers PT but not MT, beware that they cannot file a claim under PT code. I've been to Lake Washington Wellness in Redmond in the past and had my prescription massage covered by insurance, so I wasn't expecting a surprise when booking appointments at Bothell Integrated Health. Turns out the Redmond place filled their services under PT massage therapy and BIH files claims under non-physical therapy code, which some insurances explicitly exclude from coverage. Hence, I suddenly have to pay hundreds of dollars for the services rendered, which I learned AFTER getting the service.

For the therapists in BIH, I've seen J.Pratt, M.Kirika and Ch. Hamstra. I recommend M.Kirika, the others were not effective and left me feeling unbalanced by working too much on one side of my back only.

I had an issue with frozen shoulders for so long. I tried PT, cortisone shot, acupuncture and so on. They all gave me temporarily relief, but the stiffness and pains never went away until I found BIH. Little by little, my condition got better and after 6th visits, I got enough strength and flexibility to go back to exercise routine. My ROM is now back to normal. For me, the massage worked the best.

I suffered two herniated discs in my lower back. This was the most severe of my multiple back injuries over the previous ten years. I was incapacitated. BJ Erkan of Bothell Integrated Health took me as a patient and began to work wonders on my back. He also educated me about the possible causes of my repeated back injuries. At one point, in my 20s, I was diagnosed with "degenerative disc disease" and was advised to give up strenuous activity. BJ gave me another option.

He manipulated my psoas muscle, of which I wasn't previously aware, and gave me extension exercises to offset chronic psoas contraction. I am currently 56 years old and white water canoe, backpack extensively, and even play competitive ultimate frisbee. None of which would be possible, I believe, had I pursued surgical remedies vs the treatment and education provided by Bothell Integrated Health. To be sure, the psoas massage wasn't very pleasant, but it changed my life. Thank you to BJ Erkan and the other excellent therapists at Bothell Integrated Health.

I was in a wreck in November and I have gotten massages before but not like this. COMPLETELY affordable out of pocket if you just want some therapeutic massages on your own. No other massage location has compared to this. BJ, the owner, is very nice and cares a lot. I get the vibe from everyone who works there that they are happy and caring. Lynnea (spelling?) is super nice and great conversation when waiting for the massages.

If you're going to invest in anything, invest in your mental and physical health. This location has done the best at doing both for me. I plan to continue even after I'm healed :)

One of the best massages ever. My massage was personally tailored to my needs and I felt incredible afterwards. The perfect amount of pressure, therapy, and relief. Jacob was wonderful.

Allene is wonderful. She knows I like deep tissue and trigger point massage and she really works on my knots to relax my muscles. It is amazing! I've also worked with other therapists there and they have all been great. Let them know the type of massage and pressure you like and they will match you up with someone just right for you. Very professional group.
