I spent about 5 months at Fitness Quest 10 (before COVID hit) under the training of Meagan and K.T. Both female trainers were so great to work with! They're close to my age, worked with me on my strength and balance, we're never judge mental, always encouraging, and they expected my best. The people working at Fitness Quest 10 are polite and helpful, even Todd Durkin the owner, showed me where the bathroom is by escorting me there personally. I've seen professional athletes working out there as well, and the other clients are very low key and respectful about that. I really love this gym and am looking forward to getting back on track with them!

Terrible neighbor. No regard for others. If you can't motivate and lead participants in your fitness routines without screaming across the neighborhood before 6AM. A specific example is running up and down Scripps Ranch Boulevard between Pomerado and Ironwood where the instructor yells and claps as loud as he can. This is 2 years coming and do not take this action lightly.
I have called countless times asking politely and grumpy and everything in between. I was assured that the instructor received our messages but there is no regard beyond their fitness quest bubble.

If only I could move to San Diego! Fitness Quest 10 is the best gym I've ever been to. It's not just a gym, it's truly a community. A community of people who really, really care about you. The energy is contagious. Scripps Ranch is lucky to have Todd Durkin and his AMAZING team! Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

Rude staff. They ignored us at the counter when we were trying to check in and the guy sitting there got off the phone and began texting in his phone as we were waiting patiently. Then he acted like he didn't see us. Another staff member rudely went around me to toss a can into the recycle bin when all he had to do was say "excuse me" for me to move out of his way. I can't read minds. This just seems so unprofessional to me. Would not recommend.

My dance team booked a private training with Jeremy & Teddy, and it was incredible! Both of these trainers had such amazing energy, it was contagious! They really brought the enthusiasm that our whole group needed. I couldn't recommend these two trainers enough! They put their hearts into your workout and root you on along the way. Thank you!

Fitness Quest 10 is the best place for completely personalized training, and is an optimal environment for workouts. I play D1 college soccer, and needed to prepare for Fall season. Over this past summer, I went to FQ10 and had a blast with Jason as my trainer. He took my college's summer packet, and tailored it to my needs, so I could get the most out of every session.
Not only did he help me physically feel my strongest and quickest, he also helped to mentally prepare me with his relentless encouragement and tough finishers. I also had so much fun beating him at pks before I went back to school :

I absolutely LOVE Fitness Quest! I first started coming to FQ10 when I was a freshman in high school training for field hockey season, and continued to do the summer camps throughout high school, but stopped when I left for college. This past summer, after moving back to San Diego after graduation, I got back into Fitness Quest, and I am so glad I came back!
One of the main things I look forward to during the weekend is Saturday morning bootcamp with Kody! Every weekend is a new adventure of hill runs, intervals, and "football, " and the best part is that Kody runs with us! Bootcamp is a massive kick in the butt, but I sometimes forget I'm working out because I am having such a great time! This year, I also participated in the 21-Day Training Camp.
It was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had, and I can honestly say that it helped with a full mind, body, and spiritual transformation. Jesse's guidance in the journals made me think about the things that people often don't dedicate enough time to thinking about, and each of the trainers had so much to contribute and help out with. Completing the training camp helped me get excited to be up and working out at 6AM each morning, and helped me get my energy and motivation back! Seeing Kira every Monday morning is the best way to start off my week, and evening classes with Jeff and Jason are the best!
I don't think there has ever been a time where I haven't been smiling while at Fitness Quest. Every single person who works at Fitness Quest is an incredible human, and I couldn't be happier to be part of the fitness fam at FQ10!

Started my first experience with the gym when I join Bikini Boot Camp with trainers Janet and Melanie. You really can't do any better than the people that the owners picked to represent their name. Everyone has a strong knowledgeable background in fitness and they share it with positive support and motivation. When you're there, you'll feel like a part of their tribe. I love the community with Fitness Quest 10. Working out is hard, but it really helps when the pain can be shared through laughter and positive encouragement.

I have never been to a better gym! The staff, in particular Christina, are kind, supportive, funny, and extremely helpful. Mitch Ryan and Charleston De La Cruz are incredible trainers who definitely know what they are doing thanks to the influence of the one and only Todd Durkin. Todd is an extremely motivational father figure to me. If you're not coming to this gym. YOU'RE DUMB!
And Julie does an exceptional job of firing up the troops and making sure that things are running smoothly. Competitive prices, expert trainers, informed directors of first impressions and cleanliness. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?!?!

I recently have moved to SD and was devastated to leave my trainer back home. He suggested I check out Todd here after one of his trainers took some classes with Todd. I've been taking his group fitness classes since January and have nothing but great things to say about Todd, all of his trainers and Fitness Quest 10. I called one morning to get more info and the person I spoke with was knowledgable and answered every question I could possibly have about FQ10.
I went to my first class later that week and have been hooked ever since. Everyone at the gym is so friendly and the workouts are phenomenal. I like crazy athlete workouts that push me, and the group classes do just that. Also, Todd and crew may be pro athlete trainers, but they all know my name when I come in. Just shows that they still appreciate every client.

This is the closest location to us for physical therapy by ten miles. As other reviewers have said, PT clients should go elsewhere. Inexperienced PT staff, poor scheduling, late billing (at times six months after sessions), shared equipment in the open gym, frequent demands to use tables outside, etc. Todd's focus is clearly on his athlete clients where he has carved out a good niche (Todd Durkin was a reserve quarterback at William & Mary in 1992).
I personally had an easy recovery. However, PT is just a poorly executed sideline which I believe was responsible for reinjuring my daughter's labrum tear requiring a second surgery.

My experiences inside Fitness Quest 10: 15 minutes into a physical therapy session at FQ10, my Physical Therapist and I were kicked out of one of the rooms by FQ10 staff member and told us we had to move outside on a day when it 90+ degrees so they could use the room for a massage, not taking into account that I have Multiple Sclerosis (for 35 years) and going out in the heat would result in serious side affects.
After I left the FQ10 facility, I went to the grocery store next door and ran into that same FQ10 staff member and I told him I didn't appreciate being forced outside and he told me "that FQ10 was there to make money"--I was shocked and appalled! I tried to reach the FQ10 Owner on the telephone and I was never allowed to speak him about the matter.
His assistant did call me and a week later she gave a gift certificate for a free massage; which I have never used. At that point, I wanted nothing to do with FQ10 except my physical therapy. A month later, I had almost completed one of my physical therapy exercises when a different FQ10 staff member bullied his way onto a piece of exercise equipment where I was exercising. I told him I had 20 - 30 seconds left to complete my exercise and he pushed himself through anyway. I am so glad I am healthy now and will NEVER set foot back in FQ10 again.
