Joni is fantastic! I found her studio about a year ago and have been going there ever since. Her services are excellent and she listens carefully to what I want, and then brings that vision to life. She patiently answers questions about new services too and I never feel rushed. Her studio is so cute and comfortable and it's conveniently located with lots of parking available. And Joni is super kind and a great person to be around! Seeing her is the highlight of my day!

I saw Joni for the first time today. She came recommended from a friend who has been going to her for years. I had my first threading done and so far, there's been no redness or discomfort. I will definitely be seeing her again

She opened her salon an hour earlier because I was wrong about the appointment time and didn't say a word about my mistake until she was done with the service. I felt so embarrassed but she was so sweet. I also love love love my eyebrows. She is absolutely the best. I highly recommend her!

I love Joni! I have been going to her to get a Brazilian wax for over a year now. She always makes me feel comfortable, and she keeps the conversation going while you're getting your wax to take your mind off the pain. Even though her waxes don't cause hardly any pain to begin with! I will never go see anyone else!

Joni is friendly and reliable. I was impressed how little the waxing hurt for a first timer, she worked quickly so I didn't have to be there long at all. I am going to see Joni again for sure! I got a Brazilian and was there maybe 20 Minutes. Post waxing update- it's been several weeks and the hair is growing back nicely with little to no bumps or ingrown hairs. I have heard this is a plus and sign of a good wax.

Joni is awesome! Wouldn't go anywhere else for my eyebrow and lip threading.

Found Joni through her Groupon and Yelp of course. She did my eyebrows and gave me a very nice shape. She was very nice, parking was easy, and she's right off the freeway, Only reason I did not give her 5 stars was because I wish she had prepaid packages so services could be cheaper, there isn't a special when you do eyebrows with lips, and because there's no online booking.

I've been seeing Joni since 2010. She does an excellent job threading my eyebrows. After seeing her, I walk away feeling great. It's amazing what a difference nice eyebrows make. Aside from the great job she does, she's flexible with appointments, accommodating, and also just a sweet person. I highly recommend Joni for your beauty needs!

I tried the Groupon special for the DermaFile facial by Joni, which cost me $30. I try to get a facial about once a month if I can swing it, because I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my face when I do these facials consistently. I had never tried the DermaFile before (diamond dust on a tool which the esthetician uses in a swirling motion on your face) but the idea of a good exfoliating treatment appealed to me.

I arrived a few minutes early, Joni was ready for me in her sweet little spa room and she's so personable and lovely. The DermaFile facial consisted of a brief cleanse of the face, a good 15 minute rub down using the diamond dust tool, and some moisturizer. There was no steam, no extractions, nothing that feels like a "facial" to me. I asked questions while on her table and she explained that this is not a traditional facial.

She appears to be very knowledgable about her craft, but sadly I don't believe the DermaFile did one bit of good. She said my skin should feel much smoother after she was done, but it doesn't. Most disappointing was the fact that the treatment was only 30 minutes long. I hate when you pull a groupon deal, and you pay a regular non-groupon price of $1/minute. Joni is very sweet and I would totally hang out with her. But I would stick to a traditional facial with extractions, steam, and scents of eucalyptus if I want to pay $1 per minute.

Still going to Beauty by Joni like clockwork but tried a new service so I decided to tell you about it. She started offering Semi-Permanent Mascara. I was going to a trip to the beaches in in SC so I decided to give it a try. I was very nervous about it so I made sure to ask Joni lots of questions about the process and any effects I needed to know. So, when I finally got it done I was prepared. It's a bit uncomfortable but Joni had told me all about what to expect so it went very quickly.

I was so excited about the results! The mascara lasted the whole trip (sandy beaches and rogue waves) and for a couple of weeks afterward. It's something I won't do all the time but it's definitely something I will do again.

Small place that is not that not easy to find. Joni was there to greet me and was very nice. She went straight to business but kept it casual and was very pleasant to chat with. I got a Brazillian and brow deal on yelp. She did the brows first and was very quick. She did a great job although she did not really ask me how i wanted it to be shaped (sharp, angled, rounded etc).

Next the brazillian, I was not sure if she was going to leave the room while i took off my underwear so i asked. She offered to leave the room but i did not mind so we proceeded. I can imagine how someone might not be comfortable with that though. I enjoyed talking to her while she was waxing. She was clean and got all the spots. Before you knew it she's done!

I thought it would take longer but it took less than 30 mins for everything. I wish she put some after waxing cream/powder though to calm the redness/irritation. I wanted to check out what she has done but it was a little awkward that she was around in the small room. Good job otherwise and great deal! Thanks Joni!

Sweet yelp deal from a sweet lady! Got my B&B (brows and braz) done and Joni did a fantastic job! It's hard finding a person to get my eyebrows right but she did the trick. My braz wasn't as painful as other places I've been to and was pretty clean. There were a few stragglers but none that I couldn't have worked with. Only comment I have is, you end up undressing yourself in front of her as she owns one room in a business building. And well if you're getting your braz done, then it shouldn't really matter now should it?;)

I finally decided to take the plunge and got my first Brazilian last week. Although I have no other hoo-ha waxes to compare it to, Joni made the whole process as quick and minimally painful as possible. She was done in a few strokes per side and was meticulous about getting every last stray hair. I only had a tiny bit of irritation afterwards (likely because it was my first wax) and I'm really happy with my results! Thanks Joni! FYI: she now steps out of the room while you undress. Personally, I don't think it's a huge deal because she's going to see your kitty anyhow!

I wish I could give more stars but there are quite a few things that went wrong during my experience here. First off, I purchased the yelp deal for eyebrow and brazilian. I found the place easily enough and was greeted by Joni herself. I let Joni know I was growing out my eyebrows and I preferred them on the natural/thick side (all that I needed was a wax to catch the strays).

She quickly waxed and then plucked and handed me the mirror. I was shocked! She waxed my eyebrows way to thin and she left a huge gap between them (eyebrows should start at the bridge of the nose, if you drew a straight line up from the side of your nose; they should not start at the corner of your eyelid!). I was too shocked to speak and I just put the mirror down for fear of crying. Next, Joni announced we would go on to the brazillian.

I waited awkwardly to the side for her to leave the room for me to undress and get comfortable and then I realized she was staying! WTF? I have NEVER known a waxer to stay in the room while you undress.it is supposed to be as relaxing as possible for the customer and you let them prepare and get comfortable before you come back into the room. Whatever, so on to the wax.it is never pleasant and Joni actually did well with decreasing the level of pain.

She used hard and strip wax which I appreciated. She declared she was done and I realized that she was going to stay in the room with me to get dressed! Awkward again. Is it too hard to just step outside? Geez even my gyno grants me that decency. Regardless, I paid her and left her a nice tip. It wasn't until I got home and realized that she had left strays everywhere!

I have never had a worse brazilian in my life and that says alot. I am not sure why she has all of these great reviews. Granted she is a very sweet lady and she fit me in to her day at the last minute but I did not feel that the level of service was worth it. I would have been ticked if I had paid full price. I guess that goes to show.find a good waxer and stick with them and don't be swayed by special deals.

Joni is very pleasant and professional. I enjoyed my experience with her. The deal was great, and I don't have any irritation/pain days later, which is an absolute plus. Her regular prices are a lot pricier than what I'm used to, but I'm gathering that's normal for this area. My brazilian was over before I realized it - she waxed it in a way to minimize the pain and duration of pain. Thanks!

Joni is sweet. Joni is fast. Joni's price is right. Joni is in an excellent location, close to my place, close to all. I would recommend Joni for Brazilians & brows. Joni is #1 for my yoni.

Ahh Joni is awesome! I guess I'd gotten used to painful waxing, but this girl is infinitely better than any other place I've tried and I experienced a lot less "owwww!" than my usual place. First up were my brows, which no one can see anyways because I'm blonde but it was nice to see she created a good shape. I'd never tried threading before, and it was a pretty sweet alternative to waxing.

Next up were the girly bits. She used a different type of wax than I'm used to, but it was a lot less intense than the normal strips. Granted, any time you gotta wax down there it's no fun, but Joni made it as painless as possible. Joni herself is wonderful, and the Yelp deal is freaking awesome. The location is a little odd, but once inside you're good to go.

I went to Beauty By Joni this past weekend to get my eyebrows threaded. I usually just get my eyebrows waxed a few times and then maintain it by plucking it myself but I wanted to change my eyebrow shape and so I've just let my brows grow bushy for about a month. I wanted to get it threaded and not waxed because I feel like waxing isn't as precise and depending on the person you go, they might take off TOO MUCH.

Beauty By Joni is a bit hard to find, I got confused a bit because it's not a store or anything. It's more of like an office within a building - which at first confused me because the place looked like residential apartments. Anyway, her office is up the stairs to the right. There isn't a waiting room or anything so you would just have to stand outside the door until your appointment time.

Her office is really dainty and cute. It's small but it feels really personal. Plus, Joni is super sweet! She converses with you while she is doing the service whichever it may be so don't feel awkward or anything! The stories she tells are great : Joni was super helpful in listening to what I was trying to achieve. I told her I was trying to make my brows fuller so she took a conservative approach, showed me, and then I could decide if I wanted her to thread some more hairs.

I ended up loving how my brows came out! It was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and my first time going to Beauty By Joni. I highly recommend and would go to her again! It's $15 to get your brows threaded and I tipped her $5 for the great service

Beauty by Joni's is the greatest! Joni is super professional and always makes sure that I'm comfortable during any procedure! The music she plays is always relaxing. Her table is comfy and it's always a comfortable temperature in there. I go to her for Brazilian and Eyebrow waxing. She always does a great job and makes it as painless as possible.

She works very quickly, I never notice how long I'm in there. I recently started getting eyelash extensions done by her. They look fantastic! She mixes blue in with the black lashes, which look great. They look very natural. I love how her shop is decorated! The beach scene is very cute! I like how she has all of her certifications on the wall. Overall, it's a very nice shop!

I recommend her to everyone! One thing to note about Joni's - She doesn't accept credit/debit cards. She accepts cash and checks. I feel that she is reasonably priced.

Update from the Brazilian. AMAZING. Joni really made me feel super comfortable and relaxed for the whole thing. It barely hurt and I honestly felt like it didn't even take that long. I LOVE HER! :

I Love Joni! I looked up a few waxing places once I moved down here, and Joni's looked the most promising. She has a nice website too. I have seen her many times, and she helped pamper me with facials, waxing and even eye lash extensions before my wedding back in August! She is so down to earth, her suite smells and looks so nice. I always fall asleep while she is doing my facial. Wonderful service.
