Ke Kino Massage Academy & Clinic

My husband and I have been getting bodywork and massage done at KeKino since recently and it has helped us both tremendously. I've had spasm issues in upper abdomen since giving birth And Marta V. has already helped me so much after 2 visits. My spasms have eased so far and have learned a lot about my health pattern and how to grow out of them. Student clinic awesome too! Anais was great!

My family and I are so thankful for all the services that Kekino provides. My newborn had a severe tongue tie. He literally couldn't lift up his tongue. We saw Kelsey the lactation consultant & she guided us through the process of helping my so. They collaborated with an amazing pediatric dentist for a tongue tie revision. We also received body work and lymphatic massages. They have a great team approach and now my newborn sleeps better and eats better. Thank God!

This is a place of love! If I had more funds I would be going once a week! Truly helpful if you can afford it I would highly recommend

This is my first experience at Ke Kino. I was severely injured in a car accident in May of 2020. I was a little worried at first because I've had back surgery and chiropractic work done. Kristopher took very good care of me. He listened to my concerns, he was very careful, analytical and informational about the work he was performing. I like to know whats being done and why its being done.

He helped get muscles working again that had gone dormant due to my accident. He walked me through what areas he was working on and how they are supposed to be working. He took his time and not once did I tense up for fear of him pushing my joints or muscles too far. I would highly recommend Kris at Ke Kino.

If you had a c section, GO SEE JOHN AND MARTA. You don't have to understand everything he's doing, why it works, or how it helps - but trust me IT DOES. I went in because my son needed body work prior to a tongue and lip tie release, so John and Marta worked on both of us. I went in confident that my son needed the body work- but I was skeptical how much it could help me in just one session.

I had been in pain for weeks. I left sore but with a lot less pain, and a few days later my pain went away around my incision. My mother's wrist improved SIGNIFICANTLY too, as well as my sleep (even though I am still getting up every 2-4 hours to feed the baby). I feel better, i sleep better, and my baby latched better. This does a lot for you PP, mentally and physically. 100000% recommend.

My experience was amazing. I went there because a provider I trust highly recommended John. I went in trying to keep an open mind but a little skeptical and not sure what to expect. John and Marta took great care of me and my infant (post c section) After one visit, I had MUCH less pain, and I slept better. This made everything about having a newborn so much easier with the 2-3 hour wake ups, and my son even latched a lot better and seemed much more relaxed (even though he has a lip and tongue tie) Marta noticed my hand was bothering me while I was feeding him, and asked me about it.

I told her my hand was going numb, and she started working on my wrist and arm, and even stayed late to add on a massage. Their customer service is second to none! My wrist and hand was going numb within minutes every time I fed my son, and my Dr told me to wear a brace. Now I am brace free and pain free after one visit! I highly recommend!

I saw Marta last Friday. I'm nearly 9 months pregnant, and in pain like you wouldn't believe. Walking was incredibly difficult, I couldn't kick or lift my legs, my spine felt like a piece of rebar and I was having a lot of emotional setbacks with this pregnancy. Not only did she teach me breathing exercises to calm down and get baby girls' feet out of my lungs, she fixed my pelvis and pains that i didn't even know were there.

For the past two days I've been bracing myself for pain while walking, climbing into bed, streching or rolling over, and there ISN'T ANY PAIN. I hadn't realized how limited my life was until suddenly i could cook again, play with my older daughter or even take a walk around the block.

I cannot say enough good things about everyone at Ke Kino and all that it has done for me! I was referred to John James and Ke Kino by my primary care physician for myofascial release after having 10-16 tension/migraines a month for about a year and a half. I've known for years that I carry my tension in my neck and shoulders, but it was catching up to me.

After my first visit with John I immediately saw a decrease in headaches - I had no headaches in the month between my first and second visits! Over the last 6 months I have worked with John, Dana, and Ly who are all incredible and have helped release the tension in my body and teach me exercises and techniques to strength my body and keep muscles release. I now only deal with one headache every now and then. Great practice with great staff!

I've seen several people at KeKino, but mainly John and have always had a great experience. Tension I wasn't even aware of got released every time. Truly recommend to anyone and especially any mom!

John James is one of the most talented people I’ve ever known. After being treated by him back in the day for other issues, I am now back for his Bodywork for Babies services and I cannot recommend him enough. Our baby was born with a tongue and lip tie, and we have had pretty rough nursing issues and tummy troubles. John has taken care of both myself and my baby, and he is a true healer. Thank you, John, for knowing how to do things that standard healthcare providers simply don’t understand. You are a Godsend to our family!

This place is very nice and clean. The staff is highly professional and friendly. I use their interns for their 60 minutes massage and never had a bad experience ever. Totally recommend this place!

The staff is phenomenal- kind, passionate about their work, and incredibly knowledgeable. During my most recent visit I saw John James, one of the owners of the clinic. His work reflects a beautiful mix of his almost 35 years of devotion to constantly improving his practice. He attentively unraveled years of injuries in my body in a way that left me feeling better when I left than any form healing I have ever received. Days after my appointment as I am writing this I can still feel the healing effects. His work is a uniquely profound experience I would recommend to anyone.

Brilliant resource for all aspects of personal growth and healing. Especially useful with C Section recovery, both physically and emotionally. I am thankful to have such amazing people to guide me in healing scars - both that I know of, and some I did not. I've only been attending a short time, but the benefit has been remarkable. Just graduated from Ke Kino massage academy, and I'm convinced I wouldn't have been happier or more satisfied with my education anywhere else. When I found the place online, I decided to book a tour with the administrator, Amy, the following day. I remember feeling excited once I had left, after I had met the owners, John and Lauren, and took a look around.

It's a small school, but a cozy atmosphere, which made it an excellent learning experience for me. The owners are continuously looking for ways to improve the curriculum and atmosphere of the school, that would benefit all of the licensed therapists, students, and teachers. Money clearly isn't the motive here, and I felt that from the first day I stepped foot in the door.

The teachers are excellent, and have been teaching the subjects for years. Apart from the education, having licensed therapists in the building, who are the best of the best in this field, has been an excellent learning experience for me as well. They freely share their knowledge and experiences with you, adding the cherry on top to your education.

And to add, a lot of them have attended Ke Kino themselves. And above all, you will be supported and protected by Ke Kino faculty; they're there to look out for you. You'll come out of this school feeling equipped with the tools you need to start in the field of massage therapy, but also just feeling like a better version of yourself.

I love Ke Kino! Got my massage therapy license last year after attending school there. The owners and teachers are caring and knowledgeable. It was a perfect environment for me to learn in. Small class size. Dedicated and friendly staff and teachers. I really can't say enough about it. Excellent experience. I highly recommend Ke Kino to anyone who wants to become an LMT.

As both a student and a client at Ke Kino, I can say that it's changed my life in so many ways. The school has been an amazing experience and I feel more than prepared to go out into the world with the information and skills I've been given here! The staff and students are amazing and the experience has been life changing.

I have been going there for years! It was recommended to me because it's cheaper than anywhere else in town! My first massage was with Lee when he was a student & now he is an Instructor at the school! Since he's now certified he's more expensive. BUT SO WORTH IT! Looking forward to my next visit!

By far one of the best massage schools around. Staff are always there to help you with any questions. The new owners are incredibly talented and have opened my eyes to a world of massage that I never knew existed. There are inexpensive intern Swedish Massages available to the public that you can afford, even if you are on a budget. This school excels at producing quality massage therapists that are ready for their career after they complete their program. If you have the opportunity to check this place out than make sure that you do so!

Kelly did an excellent job on my stiff shoulders and tight neck, and my whole body. She communicated well if the pressure was enough and I felt much better afterwards. $33 for an hour+ massage on Tuesdays/Thursdays is a great deal. I will come back again.

I love this place and have highly recommended it to all my family and friends. Kathy is awesome! If you receive a massage from her, you will never want anyone else. Her hands are truly healing! I also love the staff that I have dealt with at the front desk and on the phone. I feel the calming, positive energy any time I walk through their doors! Great massage school and fabulous instructors! I will miss this place. Looking for a small intimate environment where you can get one on one questions and answers and plenty of feedback on your career as a budding massage therapist, then this is the place for you. I really enjoyed the small classes and the opportunities to work with licensed massage therapists and instructors and learning new modalities and techniques in the body work field.

Take a tour and make that call if you're looking for a school. My most favorite part was the flexibility of classes offered. I had two small children in elementary school and the day classes were a great fit for me. Good luck!

You owe it to yourself to visit Kekino. I had huge knots in my shoulders from s stressful week at work and now my shoulders are happy and carefree! This is the place to come if you want a great pressure point massage. They do a pretty good Swedish massage too, and if you're on a budget, they offer $38 hour long intern massages (They're only $33 on Tuesdays and Thursdays).

The focus of my review is on the massage experience and therapist Breman Lang (Not really his name). WHAT I LOVED Appointment was right on time Breman was exceptionally intuitive at identifying problem areas and was aggressive (as instructed) to go extra deep. I am not a China Doll. Was thrilled the massage included the feet and legs and toes Communication was perfect when working on the knots in my neck and back. Using a pain scale really helped.

Completely professional yet welcoming and results oriented Choice of massage oils and creams Patient respect Innovative techniques including stretching BUSINESS OVERALL Ample parking No cheesy candles or incense CLEAN but no antiseptic smells Low overhead consciousness without cutting corners. The lack of frills means the customer pays less. No tipping. I will get around this next time! Total cost for an hour of beneficial treatment.$35! I booked two hours for next visit! HIGHLY RECCOMEND

I am so glad my neighbor told me about this massage academy. I was having a terrible problem for years with tightness in my mid should blade. On Thursday Ke Kino has a $30 special for 1 hour massage and believe me if you need a massage, it will be the best $30 you have ever spent. My massage by Angel was the best I have ever had. She zeroed in on my problem and 3 days later, for the first time, my left should did not hurt. I am going back this week. The place is very clean, smells nice (not too strong), very quiet and everyone is very professional and right on time.

This review is for the massage school. I was a student there last year and it was a great experience. The teachers were amazing and the curriculum was very strong. I had a finance background so it's been all numbers all the time for me; however, they did a great job starting with the basics and moving forward with practical, applicable knowledge.

If I can do it, anyone can do it! Especially enjoyed anatomy & physiology and Swedish Massage. If anyone is looking for a great education from great people in a great facility, you've found the place! If you're booking a massage with an intern, make sure to tell the receptionist what you're looking for since there were so many different types of therapists with different strengths and weaknesses in my class. They can always match you up with someone good.

I saw the great reviews and was also told by the receptionist that the one hour - full body massage would be worth it. However, The intern available was only able to cover certain areas that I mentioned and also ended before 60mins. Travis was more focussed on time than his technique. It was funny that at the end he mentioned if it was a 90 mins session then he can cover it all and do better - Yeah, Sure.

Not going back again! At Terence - You are required to mention such things in advance about not being able to provide the right service as priced & marketed by you. Your audacity with such responses is surprising.

Amazing! They came highly recommended and they did not let me down. I had a deep tissue massage by lee and he was great at targeting my problems. Will be back soon!

I go to Dr Christel Parrish for chiropractic treatment here and she is fantastic. She provides the best chiropractic adjustments I have ever had. She is a very caring Doctor and really listens to what you tell her about your body. She has alot of previous training in physical therapy so that is an added bonus. The front lobby staff is very friendly and they keep great track of my appointments. Dr Parrish has very reasonable rates too.

Since she is more affordable I go to her more often. I have not tried their massages here but from the professionalism of the staff I have met, I would not hesitate to get one there.

I had a friend who was pregnant with twins. I went there with her. We both enjoyed the massage very much. Awesome place for pregnant women.

We absolutely LOVE this place! My husband, myself, our daughter and her husband all go here and have never gotten anything but the best service!
