Mona fixed what another hairdresser completely destroyed. I definitely recommend her (I have long hair with layers and she did them perfectly!)

Terrible service. I walked in for an appointment, they didn't have any availability. The manager (I assume that's who it was) called me 30 minutes later saying they had TWO cancellations and i can come now. I told her I could get there in 10 minutes. I hopped in the car instantly and got there in less than 10 minutes. Only to be sitting for over THIRTY minutes in the salon.

Someone came over and said 2 more minutes (I timed her and it was going on 5 and the client she had wasn't even started with the paint). Just DON'T call me when you no openings. I wasted over an hour of my day traveling and sitting for absolutely nothing with TWO toddlers at home. Meanwhile the whole time the manager was sitting on her high horse scrolling her phone the entire time, while it seemed as though everyone else was working so hard. My husband always gets me a gift card here for Christmas. Once I use it up, I'm done with this place.

This salon was recommended to me by a coworker and my experience was very positive. The technician Jenny was impeccable with detail and extremely nice. I also appreciate the level of sanitation steps they take before and after each customer.

For anyone who wants an amazing haircut this is definitely the place to go! Humaira did fabulous with my hair and even washed it for me. She took her time to make sure everything was cut to perfection and I'm more than happy with the cut. I recommend everyone in my family to come here and they all say the same thing. If you come for a haircut definitely ask for Humaira!

I had Mona, she is absolutely the sweetest genuine person! She did Amazing on putting beautiful layers in my super thick hair! I 100% recommend! She's amazing!

I got the best mani pedi I've ever had! They were very nice and the environment was relaxing. Make sure you take cash to tip because you can't add it on a card. We will definitely be going back!

After moving back to NOVA from NYC, I needed a good nail artist to help me fulfill my nail art dreams. After trying a few, I started giving up hope until I found Jenny. I have gotten all kinds of designs with UV gel extensions and am so happy with my nails every time. Would highly recommend her, especially if your are trying to get nail art done.

An amazing spa pedicure experience! Their massage chairs are the best that I've found, the staff are kind and considerate, and they give amazing leg/foot massages. I leave feeling pampered! And my nails are always done right (not rushed). Glad I found this place for a relaxing little retreat.

I've been going here for many years and always get the BEST treatment. I love Amy for spa spedi and also have used and loved Kim. I look forward to my pampering! Next visit is my birthday!

I had a color, cut and style by the fabulous FA. He was so professional and was such an expert. I am thrilled with the results. His suggestions were spot on. I would highly recommend solace day spa and especially FA.

Another stylist at a different salon destroyed my hair, but Mona saved it. She toned my hair beautifully. I was actually so happy when we were done that I cried. Mona is hilarious and bubbly. Very down to earth. (Added note: I didn't have time to stay to have my hair styled. She was kind enough to quickly blow dry it so I could see the way the toner turned out.) Tammy did my nails (pedi and dip manicure) and they look great. She was gentle, kind, and took her time. I will be back to see her again!

I am so surprised with the bad reviews. I couldn't find appointments anywhere so thought I would give this place a try and so glad I did. Massage with Hally was awesome! Very relaxing. Will be returning to try other services. Got appointment for the next day and very easy to schedule online.

Got a haircut here from 'Suzanne'. Terrible quality. Won't be going back.

Mona is truly the best stylist I've ever known. She has cut and highlighted my hair numerous times. My daughter wanted her hair to look like "fire" and Mona used four different colors to make it happen. She's the best of the best. And the nicest person ever.

Humaira did a great job on my hair she is very friendly and made me feel very comfortable and also when she was wading my hair the chair message my whole back felt good I would definitely recommend someone to her I left the salon feeling much better back to blonde yay

Worst experience. Schedule a consult to ensure stylist had opportunity to look at my hair, understand what my goal was and what I didn't want. Discussed price and everything involved, root color, highlights, toner, shampoo, conditioner and a cut. Ended up with a choppy UNEVEN cut and no toner was used. They won't refund money for the horrible cut and only offered for them to cut it again.

Why would I risk what hair length I have left? Humaira claimed she put toner in my hair but I've never had toner shampooed and immediately rinsed out in 30 years of having blonde hair. I sent her pictures of my hair and reschedule to go in. Stylist said she could lighten with highlights. Why didn't you do that in the first place? I'm left with my existing highlights are too lights with brassy remaining color. If I had ashy roots how'd I end up with red tones. Stylist is colorblind and fri t desk rude. Better of going to Hair Cuttery.

You really do get the luxury experience! My daughter and I enjoyed it! Can't wait to go back for a massage!

After 3 visit to different salons for color.and no one knew what color I want for my hair, I finally went today to Solace in SR and I couldn't be happier! Humaira knew exactly what I want and she was the most sweet hairstyle i ever met! In addition the cleaneless of the place was excellent! I highly recommend visiting this place if you are looking for a knowledge hairstyle!

I got my appointment and I went to the salon and they said they couldn't take me right now and said come at 2:50. I normally booked my appointment at 1:40 and I drive 20 min to go there but they said come at 2:50 I am really mad right now. I am really disappointed.

It has taken me awhile to find the perfect nail salon and I have been going to Solace for about a year now. All of the employees are cheerful and helpful. If you are looking for a nail salon who has employees who will get to know you and take the time to discuss what is the best service for you, Solace is the place. I have consistently seen the same lady, Lynn. Lynn is an amazing person. My nails always look phenomenal.

This place used to be so nice back in the day. Not it is awful. I returned recently and it was just kind of gross. The receptionist was nice but everyone was eating bowls of noodles while working. This is not a pleasant spa experience.

I've been going to Tina for over 10 years getting my nails done and will never go to anyone else. She does a phenomenal job. The atmosphere at Solace Day Spa is very homey and welcoming. All the employees welcome you in and serve you with the up most respect. Very friendly and well taken care of spa. Always feel rejuvenated after I leave.

One of the worst spa pedicure I ever had. Even seen most of the negative reviews I tried this place because I believed everyone's experience is different also it is only 3 min away from my house but I regret it on my decision.technician doesn't know what she is doing. I choose spa pedicure additional 15 minutes massage. $78 for that horrible job seriously?

No focus, no technique, no pressure, even though i told her i need pressure and proper touch.very disappointed not recommended anyone! Completely void this place specially this lady!

Tried the Solace Day Spa for the first time today. Had a GREAT pedicure with gel polish and then a powder manicure. Tina was amazing! Highly recommend, super client and relaxing.

This place used to send coupons once a year and now they stop doing that. But surely their price is high. I book always a deep tissue massage for my husband. And he was so disappointed on his massage. His masseuse was about 60 years old lady that couldn't do her job. I guess we have to find some place else.

I had the great experience in waxing services (full leg and deep bikini), Tracy did an excellent Job.

Pretty unpleasant Salon was humid and non relaxing Receptionist was nice I made a gel manicure appt I believe the lady's name was Brenda She was rough and hurt me several times The selection of polish was minimal and messy She didn't give my nails proper shape and paint was sloppy Cost me $55 and will never be returning

I am literally in my car in tears over a pedicure. My kids saved their money to get me a giftcard-- which still has money on it, and I feel like they completely wasted their money. During my $70 pedicure, which was supposed to include reflexology, the lady spent the first 30 minutes tending to her daughter. There was no reflexology. One of my toenails is crooked.

I asked her to even it out, but that never happened. She began my manicure and after filing one hand got up and left because her daughter woke up. Least relaxing pedicure ever. If you live in the area, you're better off heading over to Walmart for your pedi.

Absolutely horrible. Would never ever ever recommend to anyone who has some place to be, but probably fine if you enjoy sitting around having your time wasted. Like most customers, I work a full time job, and needed to get my nails done, called to make an appointment and was told 1:30. I left work early and I showed up at 1:30 and was told it would be a few minutes.

I went back up to ask how long was "a few minutes" and I was told it'd be 15-20 minutes, but I didn't have another 15-20 minutes to spare. So I just epically wasted my time. Next time I'll go some place that actually values their customers time.

Awful. I called to make a hair appt for a trim and a toner/floss. I arrived to see stained, old chairs and a stylist who didn't know what a toner was. This place is dirty and not a real hair salon. That strip mall isn't even ten years old. I'm not sure why the chairs look so worn and disgusting. Steer clear!

Save your money, I regret coming here every time. There are far more superior salons within a few mile radius. I came for a pedicure today because my normal place was booked up, and once again I will walk out with a shotty job (even after asking for it to be fixed) that I know will smear within days because their idea to fix the rough polish was to ADD MORE POLISH.

My color also got put away before being used and the color she brought back was different, though she was convinced it was the same, so I figured she must know. It wasn't, so off I go with 10 coats of a color 3 shades darker. Booooo solace.

I enjoyed another rejuvenating service with Choe. She always does a wonderful job- very thoughtful and professional.

I enjoy the ambiance, soothing pedi and complimentary beverages. My favorite is Helen. She's extremely passionate about her work.

I wanted to treat my husband to a Pedicure and Solace was convenient and close to home. He had missed our last appointment at our regular salon as he was out of town so he was due. They happened to be running a special - I believe for Father's Day - for a more upscale pedicure at a cost of $70 which I found a bit high, but heck, he's worth it!

They were able to take him right away on a Saturday mid afternoon. He was offered a glass of wine while his feet were soaking which was a nice touch. He enjoyed the pedicure and massage - actually stated the massage was one of the best he had on his feet and calves since the technician put some muscle behind it and was not rushed at all. The pedicure also included a scrub and paraffin wax treatment.

He was happy with the entire service except the callous removal. I was shocked to find out they had used a razor on his feet. I was under the impression that VA licensing laws prohibited this due to sanitary reasons. Additionally, he had cuts on his feet from the razor. His feet were tender for a few days, but thankfully no infection. Three stars for the service he received, but I would caution to watch what they use on your feet for callous removal.
