If you live in or near NOVA, do not waste your time going anywhere else! Frances is a masterful estitician. He will have your skin healthy and glowing! Carla is an AMAZING therapeutic masseuse with a wealth of knowledge. The entire team is fantastic and I am never disappointed after a visit to Fountains! I always leave feeling gratitude and thinking "this is what relaxation is suppose to feel like!"

Look no further! It took me a while to find a quality facial when I moved to this area 15 years ago. A friend recommended Fountains, and I've been going there ever since. I have to say that I trust French facial products more than any others, so the fact that they are a Guinot facility boosted my confidence in them even before I set foot in the door.
All these years later, I still see Francis, who tweaks the facials to my needs, and I always leave with absolutely glowing skin, deeply relaxed after 80 minutes of pampering. I recommend facials to all my friends because of how much they have helped my skin issues (acne, dryness); and all who have gone to Fountains fall in love with Francis. Please know that this is a woman-owned, family business and not a franchise.
I am not wealthy, so I choose deliberately where I spend my money. I will support a mom-and-daughter shop every single day! I also appreciate that the business is located in an original Alexandria house and not an antiseptic new construction. They did not destroy anything but used what was already available. Back to the French products--do your skin a favor and purchase at least one cream. The price tag may shock, but the products last 2-3 months. P.S. Stop next door at Fire Hook for a coffee and pastry before or after. (Ils ont des pains aux raisins!)

I had two separate visits with three services in total. The first was a seaweed wrap and it was nice. The second service was two days ago with Amy for a massage and reflexology. I'm still in pain from her touch. My elbows hurt, I warned her I was healing from two fractured elbows. She twisted my elbows so much they've been hurting ever since. She found tenderness in my left shoulder and I told her it was painful, she assured me it would improve.
This is not an experience I would want again. I don't know what she did with my right ankle but that hurts, too. I've needed heating pads, ice packs and ibuprofen for my back, shoulder and elbows ever since I left the massage therapy. I've had massage therapy from a different therapist for 5 years and never had pain like this. I did tip Amy thinking the pain would improve The parking situation makes it challenging to have a relaxing experience. This is not in their control but it definitely takes away from any relaxation experience.

I had a great experience a couple of weeks ago at Fountains Day Spa! This was the first spa I visited since moving to the area and I was not disappointed! The customer service, massage, and facial I received were all top notch and everyone was very kind and helpful. They also provided thoughtful guidance on what services would work best for me and my skin type, which was much appreciated. I am looking forward to returning soon!

Best I can say at this point is "inhuman robots". What happened to the point where people can separate from the black and white of a computer and being human? I was super hopeful when I purchased a gift certificate from this location only to find that the location was not where I thought it would be for the recipient. I requested that they please cancel the transaction PRIOR to the order being completed but unfortunately, the location is closed Monday and Tuesdays.
This morning, they processed my transaction before acknowledging my numerous requests to cancel. Now, I understand my shortfall here as I did not confirm the location in relation to the person who is to receive it. However, this is where humanity should kick in. I tried multiple times to contact them regarding my mistake and concern. When I finally reached the location the response from Savannah was "they cannot refund gift certificates", "I checked a box acknowledging the certificate is non refundable", "she was only repeating what she is told to say" and that "I should consider selling the gift certificate on Craig's List". Oh! also that "the address noted on MY billing was 'local'." Couple of things - 1. to refund a Credit Card is not difficult but a PURE CHOICE not to by the location.
I have done it many times at the salon I used to work at and the process is not complicated. 2. The only check box I had seen was not for acknowledging it was non refundable - it was that they had to use it within a year. I am unsure where that other "checkbox" was. 3. Selling it on Craig's List!?.wow. just speechless there. 4. MY address is irrelevant to the person who I WANTED to get the certificate, and now I am OUT hundreds of dollars for them!
What a great way to start the holiday season but with an experience like this! I am guessing if YOU are going here, only go and PAY WHEN SERVICES ARE RENDERED. You may loose it any other way since they could care less about their potential customers. Hell if I know what I am going to do now with loosing $300 and a gift certificate I cannot gift out. Don't even bother with this location.

I had a great experience with Loretta and Frances. My husband booked the great escape package and it was amazing. Worth every penny and I will be back. I had my spa experience on 10/17 and waited to see how I felt and how my skin reacted to the products before writing my review. I also had a glow that lasted all week and felt refreshed. Great products, great people, and an awesome experience. Much needed!

Fountains Day Spa is wonderful. They take every precaution to ensure the safety of everyone that enters their doors. Everything is clean and beautiful. Even though this spa is in Old Town, there is free easy parking all around! I loved my deep tissue massage so much, I booked another service for next month. Everyone at Fountains was so warm and friendly, I felt right at home and even BETTER after my massage. This is the place you want- support local businesses.

This was my first experience at Fountains Day Spa. The spa was in the cutest little building and was clean, smelled of essential oils and had a very friendly receptionist who greeted me. I received a 50 minute combination massage with Carla. I usually request a man for massages because I like the harder pressure, but let me tell you, Carla was AMAZING!
She was extremely personable, followed all covid related safety measures and gave one of the best massages that I have ever received. I left totally relaxed and refreshed for the day! Great work!
