Barbara is absolutely amazing! I went in for my first facial ever and was fairly apprehensive, putting your skin in the hands of a stranger for the first time can be nerve-wracking. Barbara was not only super gentle but very knowledgeable. She helped guide me towards caring for my skin better without making me feel bad for not already doing so. I really appreciated the way she walked me through each step of the facial and kept me informed of each product she was using. Did i mention that i left with my skin positively aglow? 10/10 will book with her again!

Every time I fly in to MA I'm sure to book w Laura. Best facial. Always thorough, friendly, and she always provides a good prescription for follow up and maintenance. This salon is so much more personable than many others!

I've been going to Laura for my waxing needs for quite a few years now. From the moment I met her and got my first service, I knew I'd love her salon. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, they make you feel right at home. The salon is always very neat and tidy, and has a nice calming atmosphere despite being on busy Essex St. Aside from wax treatments, I've had multiple lash tints and facials. Everything Laura does exceeds my expectations every time, and I will never go anywhere else. This salon is the best!

Laura is the only one I'll let do my brows. I've been told by other estheticians that I should try to let them grow in so they can really shape them, but my eyebrows just grow in differently. Laura is able to tame the caterpillars so I look less like Eugene Levy and more like myself!

I had gotten facial at Laura Lanes for many years, but due to moving away, had not been for a little while. I was given a gift certificate and decided to book. I had forgotten just how amazing the it was! My skin genuinely looked brighter and glowing for weeks after. As a birthday present, my husband treated me to a very high end day spa in Boston.

The facial there did not even compare to Laura's! (Not to mention all they did was try to up sell me on different add-ons instead.). While it was a lovely experience, I will not be wasting any money there in the future, and instead will head straight to Laura. Oh, and if you needed another reason to go, she also does the best brows on the North Shore.

Laura is an expert eyebrow shaper! I've been seeing her for more than 5 years, and have previously been to the Best of Boston, she is even better, she is the Best!

So lucky to live down the street from such a wonderful salon. Casey is my Waxing Goddess. She's seriously the fastest waxer on the North Shore with wicked funny humor. Nothing like cracking up while getting a rather intimate wax, then out of there in 10 minutes. The salon is also marvelous in accommodating last minute call-aheads. Laura Lanes Skin Care - and especially Casey - is my go-to waxing wonderland. Their massages are also lovely - pricey, but a lovely experience - it's been a while since I had a massage there. Highly recommend if you're in the Salem area.

I usually always go to classic faces in peabody but this time i decided to go to laura lanes in salem.i was very disappointed.my facial was literally made of steam and 2- 3 products on my face while the steam was on my face and then the face mask.i can do that at home too.what was the point of me paying someone to do it? Then the lady put on the face mask and left the room until the end where she took off the face mask.she did not even touch my nose to clear the blackheads.no massage at all.no neck and shoulder massage even when it says in the descripition of the facial.very unhappy.maybe i will try laura the next time and hopefully she will do a good job as my mom said she has done her facial before and she was good.

Loved this place! The staff are so warm and welcoming and without a doubt the best facial I've ever had! The atmosphere is serenity at its best. Heated bed, beautiful colored rooms and lighting, and lively Peruvian flute music. My facialist was the real deal with 10 years of experience. The Bioelements products were spectacular and applied perfectly.

I was also educated (which I love) about my skin and skin care needs and after a thorough cleansing, what seemed like a ton of different products and a vitamin c mask my face was so happy. I also received the most amazing arm and neck massage I felt like a pretty version of "Gumby". Be good to yourself and book yourself an appointment! They have many different options and treatments available.

I've been seeing Casey at Laura Lanes Skin Care for over a year now and she's amazing! She always takes her time to make sure my eyebrows are perfectly shaped! I had to take a few months off from seeing her since I was going back home (over 3 hours away) for the summer and unfortunately one quick walk in later and my eyebrows were ruined!

Ever since, I make sure to only get my eyebrows done with Casey and she has continuously put in the effort to get my eyebrows back on track! I wish we took a before and after photo because Casey truly worked a miracle with me! I HIGHLY recommend Casey and Laura Lanes in general, you surely won't regret it :)

I was impressed with the ease of finding this location. I was afraid parking would have been a challenge but it was a breeze. I did not have to wait for my appointment and was seen right away by Laura. Its great when your time is respected like that. I had amy eyebrows shaped and a brazilian wax and both were neat and perfect. I even loved the relaxing music that played so I felt very much at ease. I recommend!

I can't believe I have been seeing laura for the past four years! I went in today for a regular wax and decided to try the spray tan for a little cure for the winter blues. Wow! Such a quick and effective process. I'm excited to see how it lasts over the next couple days. Laura is always professional and fun to work with.

Blissful. That's the one word description for the experience I had with both a facial and massage. Becca and Patrice= Experts, knowledgeable and professional. Laura Lane employs top dog specialists and compliments them by using superior products. Phenomenal!

Patrice is wonderful! My husband and I had massages with Patrice after stopping in as a last minute idea. We were in Salem for our anniversary and she was super friendly, giving us some sight seeing and dinner advice, not to mention a wonderful massage. We went in one right after another and when we compared notes, we both thought she was wonderful. I also had a facial that was nice. I will definitely be back when I am in town again.

I am VERY VERY meticulous about my brows and I can never get anyone to get them to the shape and look I want them to. I like my brows a little bit on the thicker side, and give annoying detailed instructions. Laura was super patient with me and when I looked in the mirror I was in awe. I hadn't seen my brows look so good in a long while. The price was a little more than I usually pay, but shortly after I received a letter in the mail, with a discount off my next appointment. Great incentive. The environment could have been a little warmer however. I like a little personal touch, but again, it was my first time in. :

If you're looking for a great massage, you can do no better than Patrice at Laura Lanes. She will ask you what you need and proceed to concentrate on what ails you. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I go there three or four times a year and wish i could do more. Laura has always been very friendly, and runs a first class operation. I feel very confident you will be quite satisfied with the service and hospitality!

I have to say, I was disappointed by the facial I had at Laura Lanes. When the esthetician wiped my face with a VERY rough towel she was too forceful and it definitely didn't feel relaxing. The products put on my face were stinging and felt way too irritating. I have very delicate skin. When I said this to the esthetician, she just said that the stinging sensation was normal and not to worry.

She also gave me a very strange facial massage, which was also extremely rough. I was worried my face would be bright red afterwards. I did not receive a head massage even though at other spas I've been to, I had amazing facials for half the price with the head massage included. When I got home, I noticed I still had plenty of blackheads around my nose.

I had to remove them myself, since the facial obviously didn't do a good job on the extractions (I don't even have that many blemishes). The whole point of getting a facial is supposed to be relaxing and it definitely wasn't. Thankfully my face came out looking okay at the end.

I had been going to the same person for my eyebrows for almost 10 years. I dealt with the rise in costs from $20 to $40 for just an eyebrow wax because of an insane fear that no one else could do my eyebrows. The final straw for me was when I realized I was driving 45 minutes just to get my eyebrows done. I must have lost my mind. I finally mustered up the courage and went on Yelp in search of someone else within the Salem area.

I called for an appointment at Laura's and within 15 minutes was getting my eyebrows done. I have since gone back 4 more times and I cannot say enough good things about Laura and her staff. The location is clean and pleasant. Her staff is wonderful and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. My absolute favorite part about Laura Lanes would have to be the online booking for appointments.

I select the day I want and am given a list of times when Laura is available. I also love the email confirmations as well as telephone calls. Laura pays attention to detail when she does eyebrows and really takes her time. She really provides excellent service at a reasonable price and has made me a life-long customer for sure!

I have gone to Laura to get my eyebrows waxed for the last few years for a reason: Laura does a fantastic job! My eyebrows look gorgeous, and she keeps the natural curve, plus they last for weeks! They have a new online feature where you can book your appointment and they also send out reminders, which I appreciate. I haven't tried the online booking yet, but the email reminders are key for me.

I had a massage here once as well. For reasons beyond my understanding I fail to get them more regularly and pamper myself in this manner. The massage was fantastic, I think they could have preserved and jarred me, I felt that loose and wonderful after. I should absolutely go back and get one.

Pros: My skin felt great after the facial, good products, reasonable prices, Laura is obviously knowledgeable about skin care and had good recommendations. She also did not try and sell me every product she used on me like a lot of places do. Cons: I've had a lot of facials throughout the years -- at least 4 a year over the past 11 years -- and I have NEVER had an esthetician leave the room while they were giving me a facial.

This happened at least twice during mine and at least once it was for about 10 minutes. Combined with the fact that the entire facial was under an hour, I didn't really feel like I was getting very attentive care. The environment was somewhat loud as well; I could clearly hear every conversation that went on in the front room. While I was there for more than maintenance (I was experiencing a bad breakout) a large part of the facial experience for me is the relaxation it brings. This one definitely did not leave me feeling relaxed.
