Had a gift certificate for a massage. The therapist came to get me almost 15 minutes after appointment time. And then put me to get changed and left me there for over 5 minutes. The first part of the massage was nice. She started working on my neck and did the same thing over and over again. I almost asked if she was ok and then she changed position but then said she had to excuse herself to go to the bathroom.
So I am sitting there pretty sure she was sick, which makes me start wondering with what? And when will I get whatever she had? She came back and I told her I would totally understand if she wanted to stop. She said she was fine. Proceeded to work on my neck and stayed in one weird spot for a long time. But then she moved on to my arms and legs and it was nice.
She finished up (definitely not an hour massage) and said she would meet me out in the hall when I was set. I went out and she was nowhere to be found. I got some water and waited around a bit and saw no sign of her. So I got dressed and went to check out. I told them they may want to check on her and told them what happened and the people checking me out gave me excuses but still took my payment.
A couple things:. i wish if the therapist felt sick, she just cancelled on me or at least stopped halfway through. But I also understand she was trying to do her job When telling the people checking out about it, they brushed it off and took my payment. I definitely did not get what I paid for. I called the next day to talk to a manager and she listened to what I experienced and then asked what I felt would make it right and I said I thought another hour massage would be nice and she said she didn't think she could do that but she would talk to another manager and call me back.
A couple days later, she called back and said they could only give me a half hour massage because the first half of my massage was fine. While I am glad they followed up and gave me something, the whole point of a massage is to relax and when you are interrupted halfway through, it defeats the whole purpose.

The massage was really good--a little shorter than the hour bur it was lovely. My problem was with the front desk. I had a paper gift certificate It said I had a full hour for a therapeutic massage. When I went to pay she charged me more, even though the certificate said it was for the massage. I made sure it wasn't a special massage. I only brought money for the tip so the poor girl was gipped out of her full tip so the spa could have extra. So beware---if you have a gift certificate for a service they may charge you.

I had never had a massage before coming here. They are so wonderful, from the front desk staff to the message therapist herself. They let me know what to expect and made me feel at ease. I've now been twice and had the same therapist, Katrina. She is absolutely amazing and able to really work out my tense shoulders. I leave feeling so relaxed and no more neck/shoulder pain! I cant wait to come back!
