The following is just a little info about my training and capabilities, but what I would really like is for you to call me to make an appointment so that we can discuss how massage therapy can improve your quality of life. I have been certified and licensed in the State of Washington as a Massage Therapy Practitioner since 1986. I strive daily, through the art of massage, to assist my patients in achieving better fitness, health and well-being. For those with job or auto related injuries, treatment may be covered by your personal injury insurance and/or Washington State Labor and Industries Insurance.
Services
Massage Therapy is a profession by which the practitioner applies manual techniques (by use of the hands or body) to the client/patient's body. The technique called "massage" uses soft tissue manipulation, which includes holding, causing movement, and/or applying pressure to the body. This type of therapy, along with other adjunctive therapies with a series of actions aim at achieving the increase of health and wellness with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client/patient.
Reflexology (Zone Therapy) is a study of the reflexes organized around a system of points on the hands and feet that correspond, or "reflex", to every part of the body. Massaging specific reflex points triggers a reflex action to stimulate various nerves relating to the body part or organ being treated, relaxing the tension and helping the body to seek its own equilibrium. This is especially beneficial if you're unable to work directly on an affected area or you need a quick rejuvenation.
