Made me cry ugly tears - not feel beautiful. & ruined my jacket. My husband bought me a gift certificate so I could feel pampered and beautiful after delivering our baby. Instead, Rizzieri's spent much time telling me my hair was all split ends and weak, & they couldn't dye it because my baby would just pull it out or I might go bald or it'd melt off. Like, seriously?! Received informational stories about how others had gone bald from bleach. NOT relaxing.
After over FOUR hrs, I walked away with a bad haircut and a bleached jacket from a simple patch test that showed they could have highlighted or dyed my hair, instead of my jacket. Left in complete tears. Was my favorite jacket from my birthday that just passed. I have a picture of it and would post it here if yelp allowed. Went back in and made the manager feel the wet bleach.
They took my # and said they'd pay me back but I'll believe it when I see it. And even after that, no apologies - just more doubling down on "educating" me about why their behavior was supposed to be acceptable. I am still crying from such a terrible day at the salon. So is my baby daughter, from their callous waste of my time which kept me away from her from 11:15am to 3:45 and used up all the breast milk I pumped. WHAT!
There was more, (like the fact that after I went to the school because the salon wouldn't do my hair, at 3:45 the stylist at the school wanted me to walk her cell phone with a photo of the bleach test down to the salon to show them I "passed" my patch test so I was allowed to get a dye - like you couldn't just do that for me since I had just told you my husband was texting me about a crying infant and that I had to go?
Or that a 20 yr old stylist told me that I, mother of infant, should just come in more and after a few months my hair would be healthy and she'd grace me with the service of a dye job (this advice, after I told her I had pumped and timed this whole visit out carefully to get there.) Oh, and the salon quoted me 206 dollars for a head of highlights? 120 for partial head? That's more than I've ever paid there or anywhere in SJ.
And the stylist said that she'd dye my hair but could only do half and it'd look bad. Who says that? Of all the times I've ever had my hair done, I've never been refused service. And she told me she was worried about liability. That's not what you say to a client. She used the word ethics, but I don't think she knows what that means.
Not dying someone's hair because you are concerned about yourself and your liability isn't ethics, girl. After I posted a review on the school and salon page, I received a template copy/paste reply, same for both pages. Does anyone even care there? #worstconsumerexperienceI'veeverhad #Rizzierisalonnotfeelingbeautiful #stillcrying

The place is pricey don't get me wrong, but you get EXACTLY what you pay for! I have had my hair done by Loraie twice, she is a miracle worker. Both times before seeing her I tried to take the cheap short cut and box dye my hair. I ruined my hair by trying to save a few bucks, but she worked her magic and turned my dull, lifeless hair into an absolute dream. If you want your hair colored in any form or fashion, bayalage or ombre go to Loraie!

I was looking for someone with experience and confidence with nail art. I've come to learn that not every nail tech can do art, and have even been scolded by one technician for asking for art on "such tiny nail beds, " so I was so very happy to find Chelsea at this Salon. She was more than happy to try to recreate the examples I showed her in photos, and she even suggested colors that would look better with the designs. She mentioned that she is always up for creating cool nail art, so go see Chelsea as soon as you can!

I have been growing out a bad haircut from a salon in Philly for over 8 months. I've been driving by Rizzieri for a while and finally was able to go. I called in the morning and was quickly set up for a haircut with Rob. He is AMAZING. He's basically a hair surgeon- he takes time to listen to everything you want and checks in constantly throughout the process to explain what he's doing and make sure you're happy and comfortable.
He even showed me how to blow out my hair at home to get the same look. He's a gem and gave me the exact cut I wanted. He knew I was nervous after my bad hair cut and was so patient with me. Before the cut, I asked him about getting some color on some pesky grays I've been getting. He told me he specializes in haircuts but introduced me to Laura who suggested I do a demi-perm on the grays since I have so few.
She picked the perfect color and was awesome! So I walked in not knowing what I was going to do or get and left with the best cut I've received in a while and much more confident than when I went in. To top it off, I couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were. It's a really nice Aveda Salon so I was expecting at least $100 for a glaze and hair cut. Nope- less than $70 after my 20% first time discount. Thank you Rob and Laura! I've found my stylists and salon!

So, I needed a haircut and I've been bouncing around trying to find that place that makes me comfortable and gets the job done and at a decent price. The Rizzieri salon does almost all of that. From the moment you arrive the ladies at the counter are very friendly and after checking you in you're offered a seat until your hairdresser can take you to their chair.
During my visit with Alex she did a great job of taking my requests and making it happen! She's a really nice lady and a great representative of the salon. When I said the salon does almost all of the things I need, I'm only missing out on the price issue here. Ive been going to a barber shop forever and I don't think a guy's haircut needs to be 35$.
I know it's a salon and very different from a guys barber shop but it's definitely out of my budget considering I gotta cut this mane every 2 weeks! If you don't go that often or you're really into specific styling It'll be a good spot for you, but if you're going as often as me it can get pricy.

First time here. It was easy getting an appointment, reception was pleasant, and Lisa did a great job with my gel mani (reg. price $35). The 20% off coupon was appreciated. If I could make one suggestion, it's about the facility itself. The booth where the client sits has a sharp edge, and I cut my heel on it. A small fix here to improve comfort would be good.

I got my hair dyed here a really nice purple/blue and it was okay but when I went home I started to realize the pink spots and how bad my brown roots looked. I went back the next day (today) and got my roots dyed the same color hoping it would make it look better. I ended up with roots that are bright purple (not the same as the rest of my head) My scalp ended up also being dyed the bright purple and it will not come out. The color also bleeds all over skin. It's a nice looking salon but I wouldn't suggest you go for color.

I had an appointment for a Brisa full set. First question I asked was the difference between Brisa and acrylic. Was told the ONLY difference is Brisa is a bit more "organic" and healthier for my nails. (1) I spent 2.5 hours getting my nails done. The next day, one nail broke, others chipped in the corner, and I noticed several others had a dent, so one good snag and they would have broken. Called, arranged to get the one broken nail fixed. Showed them my nails, which looked so bad they decided to replace them all. Spent another 2.5 hours on a Saturday getting my nails redone when I just spend 2.5 hours a few days earlier getting them done. ------------------------------------ Went to have the Brisa nails removed and I was told they were permanent!
The first question I asked before I had them put on was what was the difference between Brisa and acrylic. The first answer should have been that Brisa is permanent and would have to fully grow out! Had I known, I undoubtedly would have opted for the acrylic since I know they soak off. Now my nails are thin and fragile and I hope they return to how strong they were prior to the Brisa process. I expect knowledge and information when I ask questions (and even if I don't). No thanks Rizzieri nails.

You ever have a "I need to get my haircut ASAP or I might do something drastic"? Well, welcome to my Monday. My hair isn't very long, but I felt I needed a cut and quick. I wanted to try somewhere new for the fun of it and after lots of research, I found Rizzieri. I liked that I was able to book online and add notes in about what I wanted done (about 2 inches off and a blow dry).
They were closed Monday, so I booked it for Tuesday. By 1pm on Tuesday I called just to follow up and as I was calling the confirmation email came thru :) It listed my time request and who my stylist will be. The front reception office is big, with a beautiful table and stools to hang out while you wait for your stylist. Tea and water is available on the table and all their products are displayed around the room too. Debra B. is fantastic.
We quickly chatted on, yep haircut, this much, good to go. The studio inside looks a bit like a warehouse, minimal decorations, yet still inviting. There were lots of people in just getting a haircut or color touch up. Comfortable chairs by the way. After a hair wash, we went back to her station and it was an easy, relaxing time. I liked that she knew how to get started, wasn't all dainty and asking too many questions.
She felt confident and that me feel more comfortable. I brought up my color and we chatted about that and what I wanted (for next time!). As mentioned in my tip, this being my first time here I had a take home goodie bag. There were gift certificates for my next two appointments and body lotion.

I went to The Nail Parlour because it was close to work. Let me say, I was pleasantly surprised. This was by far the best gel manicure I have ever gotten. It lasted over two weeks without a single chip or peel. The only reason I had to take it off was because my nails grew out so much. I highly recommend this nail salon. They do very high quality work.

In desperate need of a pedicure I Yelped the closest salon and The Nail Parlour popped up. On Mondays TNP does not open until noon and the door says "walk ins available". I walked in around 12:15 and I was told that they could accommodate me for a pedicure at 1:30. Okay, I had the time to go home and come back so it was not a big deal. The salon itself is small and only had 2 employees working at the time so I do not think that they can handle too many walk ins. It's best to call ahead if you want to make an appointment.
Upon making my first appointment I found out that new customers receive 20% off their first visit. If I would have been able to see a service menu I may have chosen a higher priced spa pedicure to take advantage of the discount. I ended up getting a regular pedicure for $20 (normally $25). The polish used is high quality, all OPI, OPI gel and Shellac.
I noticed through their FB and Instagram photos that they seem to do a lot of nail art designs on nails. I would assume that is is extra. Like I said, the salon is small. There are 2-3 nail stations and about 4 pedicure stations set up. There is also a separate room for waxing and spray tans. The salon did not have too much decor, but there was a sign stating that they are currently remodeling.
It would be great to have a digital showcase of the nail art designs that they do on the walls of the salon. It would also be great to have a service menu somewhere. There is also no drying station for manicures and pedicures (odd, right?). I hope that after the renovations they add that. The summer humidity is terrible when waiting for your nails and feet to dry.

I recently went to the nail parlor for a gel manicure and can't say enough good things about it! I was visiting family so I wasn't too familiar with the area but desperately needed my nails done. I read some of the other reviews on yelp but since there weren't too many, I decided to give it a shot anyway. I'm so glad I did! Elizabeth is who did my nails and I highly recommend her!
She was very friendly and welcoming and did an amazing job! (Not to mention I got tons of compliments on my nails when I got back home!) I will definitely come back to the nail parlor to see her anytime I'm in town. Definitely recommend this place!

Wow. Just wow. I have been getting highlights for 9 years now and have never had such a bad experience as this. Lindsay was my stylist. Note to anyone-avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs. I have very highlighted blonde hair but told her I wanted a honey blonde tone ala Blake Lively, Kate Hudson, and showed her photos. The end result-my hair is very dark blonde with a terrible red tint.
I look like I have brown hair and put sun-in then dyed it red. Seriously, she has no idea what she's doing. She should be fired. I have naturally blonde hair and didn't know anyone could mess it up this bad. I'm giving the salon credit because the salon agreed to fix it for free but really it still annoys me. Going back to how blonde I was before is going to really mess up my hair.
