Waste of money! It's my first time here doing facial with extraction! She's actually put a mask on my face and that's it, I was expecting a deep cleaning with extraction, but she didn't do anything, and they said it's an hour of service, she spent only 20 minutes, and said " your skin is very clean", I know how my skin looks like and I what it needs! NOT RECOMMEND

Last week I received a "Signature Gel Manicure" and a 90 minute massage from Retreat Spa and Salon- after my experience I would NOT come back. To begin with, the 90 minute massage I received was only 70 minutes. This was something I was willing to over look until I received my manicure. The manicurist quickly clipped my nails, filed them, used cuticle oil, and clipped the cuticles without soaking first.

This took all of 4 minutes - literally. She then proceeded to put the gel nail polish on and it required SEVEN coats for her to get my very short nails covered. According to the description, this was supposed to be a relaxing 45 minute manicure that included hand and arm massage all for $40. When I asked the woman at reception (owner/manager) about not receiving what was described, her only response was to tell me what I owed.

By Tuesday, the polish was already peeling off in full chunks. My husband and I have been using this facility for massages over the past 10 years and have recommended them to everyone I know, including family members and coworkers. I will NEVER go back due to the way I was treated and will be finding a new massage place to bring my business to. Save your money, go to a nail salon where I guarantee the quality and service will be much better.

My very first time getting a wax and the young lady who did not mention her name. Not only that she did not make me feel comfortable. She kept asking worse pain ever, don't feel good and tell whoever told you to do this they lied. Like who says that to someone who's trying to get a wax? Never again i felt as if she was trying to make it hurt on purpose.

Amanda gave me a fabulous facial! She is friendly and sweet but above that she is enormously skilled. It was a great experience and i will return! Note: men are welcome even if they have a beard (I asked).

I got a maternity massage and my husband got a deep tissue both for 60 minutes. The service was great we arrived on time for our appointment and was seen promptly. The waiting area was very clean and smell was very relaxing. That maternity pillow was a relief i was finally able to lay on my belly after months. I will totally return. Merideth and Katey were great. We felt so relaxed. Great job

I am a repeat customer for both the salon and spa portion of this wonderful business. They are very professional extremely well mannered and customer friendly. The interior is very well kept, organized, & clean. The receptionist are very welcoming and kind. I've gotten great color and cuts at the salon & great massages and facials and other treatments at the spa . I'm also very fond of the aestheticians both Dana and Amanda are very very professional and exceptional at what they do. Amanda was amazing with my teenager.

My teen is LGBTQ+ and she was extremely open minded and LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming. She was respectful and helped my child feel at ease and safe. I highly recommend her to the LGBTQ community and this salon to those seeking great service and care

I moved to Augusta 8 years ago, had a stylist I love in Ohio. I tried several and after almost a year I found Kim at the Retreat! I love her. My hair get loads of compliments. She has color, restyled (long n short) etc. my hair for many years. She gives great advise on various styles to keep you trendy especially since I work in a corporate environment. They know all the latest trends as well. I was one of the first to spot the ombre look. I

I get really tense muscles from looking down all day at my work and computer, so sometimes I need a good massage to help me release the tightness. Retreat Spa & Salon is honestly so perfect for my needs. They don't just give you a plain kneading massage to help you feel good, they actually are able to locate the knots in your back/shoulder/neck/anywhere and they work carefully to dissipate the knots. It never hurts and it's so effective. I really enjoy them, way more than other high end massage places I've been to in Augusta.

Just finished with an hour massage from Jennifer. Cannot express how great this massage was! I thought at first the pressure was too much but I could actually feel her moving the stress around and out! From my neck to my feet the pressure was intense but to walk out feeling like I did was nothing short of miracle working. I have had Jennifer before but she has honed her skills, let me tell you. Don't get me wrong, she was good before but today she hit it out of the park. Just what I needed. I'll be back soon!

The Spa is beautiful and clean. It smells so go. My massage with Rachel was so relaxing and nurturing. Exactly what I needed. Melissa gave me a most fabulous massage doing my pedicure. Feel so cared for. She will be giving me a wash and blow dry also. Highly recommend!

I went to Retreat today to get a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage. I am beyond pleased with the service I got from them today. The salon has a really relaxing vibe and the young lady at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. Meredith was the woman doing my massage. She asked me about any issues I have had with my neck and shoulders. I have TONS.

I informed her about my neuropathy in my back and constant headaches. She asked regularly if she was applying a comfortable amount of pressure, which was great. I felt so much relief from the tension I've had in my neck by the time she was finished. She also mentioned they have military discount, which I forgot to mention at the front desk, but still great to know for future reference. I will be returning to Retreat spa to see Meredith again.

I have been to Retreat a few times to see Dayna for waxing; she is absolutely wonderful. She is just so sweet and puts you at ease. During my bikini wax Dayna made sure to explain what she was doing and she was very gentle (but quick). We chatted and she did not make me feel awkward at all. She asked if it was too much and frequently offered breaks. I appreciated her caring nature. I will absolutely be back for another wax and to see Dayna again; she is a gem!

Great place to get a massage! Went in with chronic headaches and stiffness in the neck and shoulders. Rachael spent the majority of the time on my problem areas. She is a very skilled massage therapist and a polite young lady. I highly recommend her.

The spa services were amazing! My husband got me a spa day here as a Christmas gift and the massage and facial was amazing. Unfortunately, the nail techs failed to impressed and spent my whole appointment time gossiping and complaining about various things in the company. It was an underwhelming finish to what could have been an awesome day.

I'm not from around Georgia so trying to find someone to trust with my hair was difficult. I had long thick Hair an I wanted it thinned out with long layers. The stylist Kessler Davis said she knew exactly what I wanted, but I literally had to stop her from cutting my hair because I seen it was going into the wrong direction. I went from having long thick Pocahontas hair to looking like the Asian mans ponytail from Mulan when she was done with the cut.

My hair was both, super short (above my bra; short) and had no layers. I went home and cried. I payed 35$ for my long beautiful hair to be destroyed. I was recommended to her from a lady I know but I would never recommend her to anyone. I don't know if she was just having a bad day (because she is very pregnant) or if she just isn't a very friendly person.

My experience was horrible an I will never go back. I also waited about 25 minutes to get in the chair, that's a long time for a scheduled appointment. I'm now walking around with my hair in a bun because people are asking omg who cut your hair? It raises my blood pressure just to even think about it.

Just moved from Southern California to GA recently and knew I had to get established with a new hair stylist. Knowing the quality training Aveda stylists undergo I figured couldn't go wrong choosing Retreat based on their beautiful, professional website. I have a cut that I already like that I've maintained for about 3mos that's low-maintanence so I just needed a trim. Came across the review of Kessler on here and sure enough she delivered. If you're new in town & need a stylist I definitely recommend her, she's got great availability too!

New to the state and I'm very picky with my hair person. It takes me some time to find some. I'm very fortunate to be a part of a face group military spouse page where Kessler was recommended. I saw some of her work and was pretty sure I had found the one. I like sun kissed hair or ombre. So I need someone who is trained to do it. Well J Kessler was great.

She vamped up my already ombre color and trimmed my hair. She was kind enough to put curls back In my hair like how I famed into the salon. There is lots of parking and the staff was wonderful. I look forward to trying some of the other services there as well as having my hair done by Kessler again.

My second visit. First was massage with sister, she was next door to me and her masseuse won't stop talking. I could hear everything. Was not a good experience. Came today for a signature pedicure with Hannah. Great experience. Very relaxing. Made another appointment.

This was my first time here. The staff was very nice and the spa was clean and lovely. My friend and I both scheduled 60-minute deep tissue massages. We were not told to come in early and, to be fair, we checked in 3 minutes after our scheduled time. We filled out our paperwork quickly but still waited a bit to be taken back. My massage began at 3:13 and ended at 3:58 (per the clock in the room).

My friend's lasted the same amount of time. I asked the front desk staff if we should have checked in earlier and they said no because our therapists had appointments ending and beginning on the hours surrounding our appointments. I was disappointed that my 60-minute massage only lasted 45 - minutes. I've never experienced this before. Hence, the 3 star review.

I have had several services here. All employees have been nice, polite and professional. Jennifer has been great for both relaxation and hot stone massages. And Ande is very thorough and informative for facials. Tip: If you are looking for Brazilian wax, be sure to request Dayna as Ande does not do them. Ande DOES do a good job on bikini waxing, actually probably the best wax I've ever had. But I would have preferred Brazilian and I didn't know.

I went in for my very first bikini wax ever today with Dayna and she did a fantastic job! Quick, professional, and as painless as could be! She was very helpful, being as it was my first time, and explained everything in detail. The salon has a wonderful atmosphere, I am eager to try out their other services. If you're looking for a high quality, fairly-priced bikini wax, Dayna is your girl and Retreat is your place!

Junita cut my hair and she did a fantastic job! She knew exactly what she was doing with my curly hair. I love their hair salon services and their prices. I have also had some waxing services, I liked everything about it, but the price. The price is what i paid for on in San Francisco where there is a high COL. Augusta, Ga is a Low COL area and I feel like the prices should match it. I will go back though, they did do a great job, i'll have to get over the price.
