Kate executed her skill fabulous on my son. Came in with a picture and strutted out with confidence because my son got exactly what he wanted. The Bloom Salon is seriously tucked into a hidden spot in Aiken but is a fabulous place inside and out. I love how clean and pure it feels when you walk inside.

Sarah was the best! My hair was a mess and she wasn't judgy at all! She gave me tips on how to repair it and help with frizz. I left feeling confident and my hair was beautiful! The salon atmosphere was great and felt very homey. Highly recommend! Services: Haircut, Hairstyling

I have found my first stylist in Aiken. Brooke was AmaAZing. Best shampoo ever and her brilliant cut gave my lifeless hair some life and style. Oh what a good cut can do for your hair. Brooke is very sweet, affable and a talented stylist. Can't wait to see what she can do for my daughter. The salon is equally charming. I'm so very thrilled that I found them. I just moved to the area and was browsing the internet for a local hair salon. I read the great reviews here and made an appointment for the 16th/Sept. I left a message for an appointment and a rep replied when I had questions about their services and she made my appointment with the stylist that did a particular haircut that I liked on their website.

The place was very clean, charming & cozy. Everyone was welcoming and so polite. One of the first things I noticed was a little chalk board welcoming me as a first time visitor. It is apparent they go that extra mile! The owner introduced herself and offered me something to drink. Brooke was my stylist. She was polite, warm, and asked questions on the style of haircut I wanted. I was very pleased with Bloom and I will be returning for color and cuts in the future!

Consultation for my daughter with Elizabeth was great. Elizabeth took time to explain everything to us and made us feel very much at ease. Kaley was a absolute sweetheart and my daughter's hair turned out beautiful! You guys are great!

I had an appointment with Madison this afternoon. Madison was very friendly. She asked me if I wanted my hair shampooed; confused I said yes and asked her if the cut included the shampoo. She said it did and she began cutting my hair dry. I was confused, but trusted her. She asked me how I would like it styled and I asked her for some waves. She stated we could do a few if she had time.

The haircut was so fast and none of my hair was sectioned off as it normally is. The shampoo was ok. The chairs were very comfortable, however. She blow dried my hair and then stated she didn't have time to style it. I left with big, frizzy hair-not an ideal way to leave a salon. I was under the impression that the price I paid, included a cut, shampoo, blow dry and style and was for 45 mins of service. I was at the salon for 30 mins tops. Very disappointed.

First time here and will definitely ONLY go here from now on for all of my hair needs! Breanna (BB) was very friendly and professional with checking me in and offering me coffee/water. My appointment was at 9am and I didn't have to wait a minute! My stylist was Taylor and she was absolutely PHENOMENAL! I had about 3-4 different colors in my hair and was looking to go back all one color and she definitely corrected that for me! Super excited for my next visit! Ms. Brenda, the owner, was also super polite and checked with me after my appointment to make sure I was satisfied with what I received!

I loved my experience at Bloom! I showed a picture of a hairstyle I wanted and they were able to replicate it (as best they could with my difficult hair). They even styled it for me afterwards! I would recommend calling for an appointment because I personally had trouble with their website. But the staff is sweet and amazing. They even had a little chalkboard with my name on it to welcome new guests. Thanks so much Bloom for my hairstyle and making me feel so welcome!

Great first impression outside and inside the salon for a first-time customer. The salon is beautiful and very relaxing. After not having done anything to my hair in 8 months, I came here and Kate did a great job with highlights and the cut is perfect!

Caitlyn Gray did a wonderful job with my hair. I had grown it out too far and it was a hot, scraggly mess. She made it stylish and healthy while still keeping most of the length. I'm very pleased with the results and would definitely visit her again!

Went to see Caitlyn again this morning (after a couple months). Needed my hair trimmed and shaped up. Mostly to get some weight off because it's so thick and needed some ooompf desperately!. Told her what I wanted and got exactly what I asked for.light-flowy and manageable as well as stylish and sassed up. It's always a treat for me to see her because I know I am going to walk out of there refreshed and confident that my hair looks amazing! What are you waiting for? Go see Caitlyn for the same professional and on-point experience!

Got a Brazilian there a few days ago & it was a pretty botched job. The wax was dangerously hot when we started and her technique was off (used a roller, did huge patches of skin at once, the wax didn't come off 1/2 the time, would wax the same spot OVER & OVER & OVER) I'm a frequent waxer and it usually takes 25 min or less to get through a wax, but this took an hour.

Still had a bunch of hair leftover when she was done. Never got a mirror to check before she left the room, but I was so relieved to get the hell off that table. Ironically the most expensive yet worse wax I've ever gotten.

I travel a lot and move every few years, but Aiken is our home. Blessed to be visiting our home after a lot of travel - I needed a massage. This place is the best - ANYWHERE. I'm feeling much better!

Have been going to PowerCuts for 3 years and LOVE Caitlyn! Great customer service all around.

I currently live in Houston, TX, but was visiting Aiken and decided to get my hair cut at the salon my sister uses, Powercuts. I had a wonderful experience. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and inviting. Katelyn (sp?) was my stylist and did an amazing job. It's one of the best hair cuts I've had in some time. I have very thick hair and a lot of hair and she knew how to texturize it perfectly.

She also gave me a lot of tips on how to style a quick everyday do. Now back in Houston, I have received several compliments on my haircut and I tell people they'll just have to go to Powercuts in Aiken. I visit Aiken once or twice a year and will definitely save my salon appointments for Powercuts.

I have been getting my hair done here for 6 years. Everyone is always very friendly and professional. My stylist is Elizabeth and she does a wonderful job with my hair and always listens carefully to how I want my hair to look. If I so ask for her opinion, she is always honest. She also gives great styling tips so that you can perfect your new do at home.

It depends on which therapist you get and what kind of massage you prefer. I like more of a deep tissue massage and I am not a big fan of stretching techniques. Cheryl was focused more on moving my arms and legs in awkward positions and stretching my muscles which I was not a fan of. Crystal gives more of a deep tissue massage that is a great rub down.

I am basing my rating of PowerCuts on my massage experience as I have never had any other services here. They are a Paul Mitchell Salon. The ambiance is nice, the Salon/Spa is in an old cottage in Downtown Aiken. The decor is what you would expect. The downside of this beautiful old cottage is the noise factor. I could hear the washer and dryer running, the phone ringing, clients and stylists talking all the way through my massage.

The Massage therapist did a nice job, but was a bit chatty. I am still trying to decide how I feel about someone trying to carry on a conversation with me during a massage. The table on which my massage was conducted was nice as it was heated. The therapist used a peppermint oil which smelled very nice, but was not overwhelming. She did a pretty good job focusing on the areas that I specified.

After my massage I was given a complimentary hand paraffin treatment which made my hands so soft, a nice treat during the winter. I am going to give PowerCuts 3 stars because I have had better massages, and the outside noises were very distracting.
