California Skin Care Day Spa

OMG! These folks are so nice. Not once did we feel like they wanted to sell us anything. Well my husband said a little hahaha. But that's ok. From start to finish they were all so great! They didn't rush us and provided so much comfort. Ron was awesome. I was so worried about time and making sure we were with ours so we didn't run into someone else's time.

One of the ladies said the greatest things to us. "Do worry about the time. Just enjoy." loved all the services we had. First time for our facials and we totally expected to have red faces hahaha but we came out normal. You just never know and can't blame them. Everyone's skin is different and thank God ours was able to handle the treatment. Definitely be come. Thank you Ron, Elena and everyone!

My girlfriend and I got their anniversary package and it was lovely. Their staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really tranquil when you walk in. Their little sauna is perfect for two in a private room, and they had a nice hot tub with tasty champagne that got me loosened up. The lighting was nice and the aroma was nice but not overpowering.

The hour long massage was really, really relaxing. They are pretty good at feeling out your needs, and strong enough to get into my muscles. I worry about that as a guy but they worked out some knots! They were good about warming up into the deeper aspects of the massage; they didn't just grind in immediately. We're excited to make our way back again, and for us in Hayward it's pretty close.

Unbelievably disappointing. I'm appalled at the level of lying this place does. I will start out by saying Elena is very, very nice when speaking to her about any issues. I'm not sure how sincere it is though. I scheduled an $85 facial and asked Elena at the time I scheduled, does this person have experience. She said, oh, yeah, 20 years.

The girl was 28! I loved this girl but the fact was, Elena totally lied to me. So then the facial. Uzma tells me my face is dehydrated, which I believe, and she needs to do a couple different procedures. I say, I'm not interested in dumping a boat load of money on my face, so let me know what the cost of what you want to do is. She says, I'll be right back.

She comes back and says to me somewhere between $80 and $85 extra. Well, that's odd. Who does that and gives a range, but I reluctantly say, okay, I'll do it. Come to find out, it was the $85 plus another $175 for this treatment. I was totally caught off guard and felt swindled. A total cost of $260! Really! I actually thought there was a mistake.

I called and spoke with Elena. She was extremely apologetic and said, oh, I'm so sorry. She asked me what I thought would be fair. Well, fair would be at the most $170 given the range of the additional cost of 80-85. I'm not trying to swindle anything from anyone. I will pay what is absolutely fair based upon a conversation. So Elena says they will credit me $90.

At that point I'm pretty happy and seems fair to me. Did it happen.no, it sure didn't. I had to place another call one week later to follow up and Elena says oh, we can't keep credit cards on file but I will talk to Ron when he comes in; you might have to come in and give us the credit card. Why didn't you say that when you said you would give me my money back. Anyway, that's odd. Ron told me after the facial that they would keep my credit card on file. and why wasn't I already credited the money. Well, oops, low and behold, they do have my credit card number (another lie). Elena says, I will have Ron call you. Nope, no phone call.

So I call again. Ron says, I just walked in (probably another lie) so give me a moment. Didn't he have a week to make this happen. Ron decides that he's only going to credit me $85 for the original facial. At this point my feeling was, whatever, just do it! Long story short, he did and he did it immediately. Should we add another star, hummm, I don't know.

The fact that I had to place an additional phone call upon an already disappointing experience was the last shot for me. I will never be back and Elena should have never got him involved in her business or maybe she should just follow through on her promises.

Excellent customer service! Mari gave an awesome massage and the Oceana was a great experience and sooo relaxing. The atmosphere is so relaxing.

There is a creepy guy that works there. His mother does the massages and her sister but this guy in the office continues to solicit emails and is a total creep. I don't recommend any young women go there if they don't want to be followed or harassed by him through emails. I will be following up with the better business to report him. You'll notice that he sitting there on his laptop like he's conducting business but he's conducting creepy work!

My skin got better. One of the more experienced staff helped me out to fix my skin, it worked. The more experienced staff cleaned my skin with a purple light which the other esthetician didn't do, I am thankful that they tried their best to fix my skin.

Had an absolutely amazing massage with (I think her name was Maria)! I would give this spa more than 5 stars if I could! I did a 90 minute Deep tissue and the massage therapist went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed! I will absolutely be back! Thank you for the amazing service!

It was wonderful and rejuvenating experience. Excellent customer service. Superb clean and wonderful slow music totally ready to set up the mood to relax. Nice ambience set up.

Had an amazing deep tissue massage here for the first time! The therapist, Mary was thoughtful and skilled. It was incredibly relaxing. This is one of the best massages I've ever had. I'll definitely be returning!

This place is next level. I first had the hydrotherapy treatment where I went into a spaceship like tub from the future with Leds, jets, steam, mist, scents. 25 mins of pure toasty relaxation, stepped out of the pod feeling like butter! Mind you, the therapist was massaging my scalp and shoulders to make the experience even more outstanding. Pretty cool and unique, then it just got even better with an hour long massage! Therapist's technique was on point! I've tried different massage spots throughout Hayward, fremont, and union city, and this spot was hands down my favorite!

The services/treatments they offer here are extensive and could be intimidating for a first time visit. But not to worry, Ron, the guy at the front has exceptional customer service skills to help answer any questions you may have. I felt all the workers genuinely cared about my well being and had an awesome time. Can't wait to go back and try out other treatments.

I am responding to Ronald's comments below. First of all, it's very easy to put a blame on your customer. That's how it shows the company's credibility that you said by blaming me and my mother to have failed to mention about her skin condition. My mother never had any issues with the microdermabrasion procedures or any reaction to facial.

She had done this facials in her life many times and was never had any problems. The first time I talked to you over the phone, I asked you to get me the name of the esthetician but you didn't give it to me. And because of the bad service you told me that you were going to refund the money and also the money that you have charged by mistake and I was supposed to get it on my account in a few days.

I didn't receive any money on my account as refund and you are now denying that you can't even find the transaction. So basically you lied over the phone that you've issued that return. I called a few times after that and left voicemail, and also told someone to call me and left my information with them a few times already, no responses back from you.

Now that I have put a review here on a public platform, you are responding promptly. Wow! You are such a liar. Again, I am saying your service is horrible. Please try to resolve the issues rather than blaming your customers. It's a bad business policy.

This is a review regarding a hydra facial with Mari. First, was not acknowledged when I entered and there were 2 ladies at the front desk. Second, Mari was about 5 minutes late and did not even introduce herself. I had to ask her for her name. She seemed completely unprepared and started preparing the products after I was on the bed. She left the room at least 5 times and at least twice 2 people just opened the door without knocking.

I did not feel comfortable or safe with people opening the door and disturbing. A very unrelaxing unpleasant experience. I will not be returning. I have had a massage at the same location earlier. While the Swedish massage was amazing, even at that encounter someone opened the door and started talking to the masseuse.

I got a gift certificate for my birthday. i got a massage from maria & it was amazing. it was so relaxing. she was very nice & professional. the massage pressure was just right. the facility was clean and calming. the only down side was the ac wasn't working so it was a little warm with only having fans. other then that i loved the massage. great service. i highly recommend seeing maria. i will be back for more massages with her.

I just had the most wonderful spa day here. I booked the spa icon package and the booking process was easy. The treatments were incredibly relaxing and so was the facility. The scrub was very refreshing and the massage by Gricelda was as relaxing as one could hope. The facial was also very relaxing and felt cleansing. The hand and foot treatments were nice too but i might swap those for something else next time around. I'm definitely looking forward to my next appointment!

Oh Em Gee!. This place is absolutely fabulous; paradise in a boutique, amazing, friendly and welcoming environment! A gem discovered!

It's always an amazing experience here! Even though every time I come, I get an acne facial and it hurts.a lot! Elena is the best best best esthetician! She is super caring and she feels your pain for you. She will make sure she gets every single one of your black heads and pimples. After the facial, she always tells you to come back for high frequency treatment which helps with infections. 100% recommend for facials and I can't wait to try the massages there as well!

Received a wonderful European facial with microdermabrasion from Jeannie. I was practically drooling during the massage portion of the facial. I swear my face looked more slim afterwards, I am assuming from lymphatic drainage that occurred from the massaging. The microdermabrasion was grainless, which was excellent for my sensitive acne-prone skin. I left pink, glowing, and relaxed. Cannot wait to return!

I've had a few massages before but this was my first pre-natal one and easily the best massage I've ever had. Mari (sp?) was thorough, carefully adjusting the pressure perfectly with little direction from me. She managed to work out really troublesome knot in my shoulder, and then was very gentle around my pregnant belly. The atmosphere of the spa in relaxed, clean and modern. I'm new to the area but will definitely be back for other treatments in future.

Its sad that we are in a generation where good attitude can't really help you find your better half. So all you gentlemen need to up your game and get your skin care needs from California Skin Care and Day Spa. I found them on Groupon and went on and have treatments done by Elena. Elena is very professional and will asses treatments you need!

They will never make you feel like you need to purchase their products, but I chose to get what they recommended anyway. Setting an appointment was a breeze. This place deserves more than 5 stars and would recommend it to any person I know. So what are you waiting for? Book an appointment now and feel the difference!

I recently went in for skin tag removal. I booked an appointment same day! My skin tag had gotten stuck on what I can only imagine was my hair and was hurting. By the time I got to my appointment I was already in pain. I asked if it would hurt. It does! You get zapped a few times with a laser as they "cut" off the tag. It's a few seconds but feels long especially if you don't like pain.

Mine was on my neck. Unfortunately I started bleeding and freaked out. This was my fault because my tag was already in bad condition with the hair snagging. The technician was as patient as she could be with a freaked out client lol. Would definitely go back!

I was in search of a massage parlor/spa where my mom and I could enjoy a pampering session without feeling brutally tortured like some other "spas" we've visited. Somewhere where we could actually enjoy a comforting massage and not wince at every touch, let alone being harassed into leaving a tip at the end of our session. Hallelujah for California Skin Care & Day Spa.

I treated mom to a California Facial for her birthday, and by the end of our session, mom had to be woken up due to being THAT relaxed during her session, and I swear I needed a cigarette afterwards lol. Seriously, the both of us could barely walk straight. We were in a euphoric state and was totally relaxed from head to toe! We are DEFINITELY returning!

My review is long overdue. I've had plenty of treatments; facial, body wraps, massages and it's the best! Ive frequented plenty high end spas, but always find myself back at CDS. I enjoy the owner and sister, they provide excellent product knowledge and take care of you. Everything is clean and just right. This was the first time I did a champagne brunch and they didn't disappoint with Chandon! I am a member there;- The prices a reasonable and you can always find a promotion.

I got a gift to do a facial here and I walked out 33% more handsome. I don't know how people do this on a regular basis. removing the blackheads was not fun.nice sweet lady. Clean but not fancy spot.
