They need work on their policies. They have many customer service policies that are just rude. Loyal regular patients who have been coming for YEARS and years and who NEVER once have no showed or canceled an appointment last minute they still require a $100 deposit JUST TO MAKE AN APPT! I Understand doing this to people who cancel or no-show or maybe for new patients. but patients who have repeatedly proven their loyalty and dependability and consistency this is ridiculous because when it comes to the appointment they RARELY remember to apply that deposit when it's time to pay! how convenient.

I always ended up having to call a few days later or a month later and say wait a minute I paid a deposit for that appointment but you guys didn't give me credit.! it's that kind of stuff. plus you can tell their staff (ESPECIALLY IN THE DESK/COMPUTER JOBS) just are not happy to be there, so we found a better place to go. It's disappointing because they have SOME good things going but not nearly enough to justify repeat patronage. *****They also have poor quality product i.e. Botox.

I know this probably sounds crazy but in hindsight we had multiple occasions (myself and my wife) that had Botox injections resulting in no freezing of muscles but the same dosage of the same Botox brand at another location was extremely effective. can you tell me what's wrong with that picture. I wonder if there are other patients who have also experienced this? I would be curious to know! They have no good promotions either.

I absolutely love this place, which is saying a lot considering how particular I am. I saw nurse Christy who is absolutely wonderful. Professional, skilled, experienced, personable, thorough. And her two co-workers that were in the room with us were very patient, sweet and professional. At one point I felt faint, and all three took the time to do everything they could to make me comfortable.

I never felt rushed or that I was an inconvenience. I also appreciate the manager, Marie. She is freaking awesome. The facility is huge but feels cozy and comfortable. I am thrilled I found Balfour Dermatology, nurse Christy and all!

Sandy Lee is always very nice and professional. She answers all my questions and does a thorough body review. She is the reason I still go to this office. The issue I have is with the billing practices of the office. In 2021 I had a Dr. appt that I was told I had to pay the deductible for, even though my plan does not call for that upfront deductible.

Then when they got the response from my insurance company it took 11 months for me to get a refund check in the mail. Today I called because I had another appt this year 2022 and again was told their policy is to make you pay deductible and then reimburse if insurance approves. I checked my insurance and the claim was processed 4/15. The office said they issue refund checks every quarter and they have been having problems with their accounting dept.

I asked how can I get my $200 back that I am being charged interest on my credit card for and they agreed to refund the $150 back to my credit card because I have a $50 copay. Thank you for the quick refund. I called back because I saw I was charged the $200 and the $50 on my credit card. I was informed that the 2 minute tele-med appt I had on 4/16 to tell me my biopsy was all clear counts as a full appt and I was charge $50 copay.

I am very unhappy that I had to pay $50 for 2 mins on the phone. Nothing was discussed during this call other than the results and while I am happy I do not have skin cancer, $50 for 2 mins is INSANE! And let's keep in mind that they billed my insurance for the full visit, I only had to pay $50 copay. INSANE!

Clinical Aesthetician, Denise is the skincare expert you want to see. I started with her in August of 2021 when I bought my first Obagi kit. My skin started to change immediately. With her care, treatments and vast knowledge of skincare my skin has never looked so amazing. Denise is honest and gives me the products and treatments that have changed my skin for the better. As we age it is so important to find ways to effectively treat your skin for the better. Denise is the BEST!

My sister and I are new clients and have been seeing Denise consistently for chemical peels and microdermabrasions the past couple of months. Denise is spectacular. Not only are we both seeing improvements with our hyperpigmentation and fine lines, we are having a blast with Denise while doing so. She is professional, kind, incredibly informative, gentle, and not to mention, she has a great taste in music - she is always playing the best songs in her office.

My wedding day is approaching this October and I look forward to having my best skin thanks to Denise! I live just about an hour away and there are many dermatologists in my area however, Denise is worth the distance.

CHECK YOUR INSURANCE! Wow, what a joke. Because I have a "high deductible plan" my first visit as a new patient was $180.00 and the follow up appointment, $120.00. Yes, they did advise of the cost of the 1st visit beforehand, but I was not told each follow up would be $120.00. I've had the same insurance for over 5+ years, gone to other dermatologists and NEVER had to pay so much out of pocket/up front. Also, to add, it took over 30 minutes to be seen for my appointment and when I was in with the doctor, she didn't ask any health questions before prescribing medication.

I had to ASK to make sure the medication they prescribed would be safe as I am breastfeeding. Barely even explained what could be wrong with me, or any info to what caused/why I could have had the issue I was having. Just slap some cream on it and good luck. Go somewhere else.

I would highly recommend Balfour Dermatology. Christi Rodriguez is always so patient and very knowledgeable about her areas of expertise. She is absolutely fantastic at her job and recommend her to all my friends. Thank you

I love Balfour Derm, I've been going for over 5 years primarily for Christi Rodriguez and her excellent skills in my Botox injections. I even have one eye that drops or tends to drop more than the other and Christi always knows what to do to make my face symmetrical! Love her.

I called this office, inquiring for spot removal on my face. Jenna went above and beyond my questions and made me feel comfortable in scheduling an appointment.

I love coming here, the staff is so informative and polite. Bethany is the absolute BEST, she is the reason I switched to Balfour from another office. :

Dr Beer's office staff is professional and so welcoming every time we walk in the door! They acknowledge their patients, are courteous, and friendly. The Practitioners explain things thoroughly and answer any questions we may have. Bethany has helped us out in the past and we just love her. So sweet, friendly and SO knowledgeable on everything from skin care products to filler!

My wife sees Kristy and has always been very happy with her cosmetic work. Kristy is professional, takes her time to understand what her clients are looking for and aims to please. My wife trusts her and will continue to see Kristy for her cosmetic needs.

I keep coming back here to do my services only because Maria always helps me with my appointments. Maria customer service is one of a kind. She fits me in the appointments eleven when I call last minute. If someone cancels she always calls me to make sure I am taken care of. Maria always makes me fell welcome. She is always happy and always smiling and eager to help. Working with Maria is a joy and I am happy to do business with a company that has amazing employees like Maria I wish I could give 100 stairs!

I called Balfour Dermatology to get some information and was pleasantly greeted by Jenna on the phone. She was super helpful and knowledgeable on all the services I had questions about. Her customer service was top notch! Definitely recommend this place for your skin needs!

I have struggled with eczema and this place helped me get on top of it. Every one is very helpful especially Jenna in the front she made everything easy for me.

I am left with horrible bruising, puffy sore bags, possible necrosis after filler treatment. It seems they applied filler into an artery or blood vessel, and take no responsibility for the deformation. I can't even fully explain in detail the damage, trauma and suffering I've experienced and the amount of money I've spent. In addition to losses from work and events.

I have so much more to say, I want a refund and don't know if all the thousands I've lost trying to just deal with this will ever be recompensed. Months later and I am still suffering.

I went in for a consultation on possible mole removal a few weeks ago. Everyone was super nice and the office was extremely clean. I paid out of pocket as my insurance doesn't cover it and they were able to just remove them same day which was awesome. My 3 stars is bc they didn't explain anything very well. I had to ask the process of removal, the aftercare instructions and they require you send the moles to a lab, which is fine but then they want to do a follow up visit via phone and it's not a 'set schedule', so you just have to be ready when they call which isn't very convenient for some people.

Was not a fan of this office at all. The only reason why I'm giving it a two start is because the front desk gal was super nice and the Dermatology assistant was more helpful then the actual doctor. I went in because I used a mole remover for two small spots on my face. I was concerned it was not going to heal correctly so I decided to make an appt just to make sure it was healing fine.

It wasn't doctor Beer but another doctor in there. He just kept staring at my face going I'm not sure what to do haha like it was something crazy. I asked why don't you just give me something you would give to patients if you were removing a beauty mark etc yourself. He then went to use his microscope and still said I'm just not sure what to do let me take a Pic and send it to the doctor.

I asked if this was his first year as a doctor or what he didn't seem to happy after that. His medical assistant made a suggestion to let my face heal a few weeks use this acne rejuvenation cream and get fillers if need be. After an hour of sitting there with a doctor that had no clue what to give me, calling his partner asking what he should do and spending over 400 dollars for the visit lol.and still getting some extra bill from my insurance lol. I wouldn't go back there. Seem like I spent way too much and didn't have much help besides from the MA.

I chose to go to this office because they represent themselves as the most prestigious, reputable cosmetic services facility in Brentwood. I have tried many establishments looking for the perfect place to entrust a larger overhaul rather than the occasional Botox injection. I am so positively shattered that I chose Balfour Dermatology over the other options in the area.

First let me give credit to the only shining light and redeemable quality of this office, Christy is a consummate professional. Her recommendations for treatment are what won me over as a client. I then received a "package deal" totaling nearly 2k that left me what I can only describe as permanently scarred and worse off than before I shelled out my money.

The tear trough filler they injected me with left what looked like implanted worms under my eyes. Worse, I now seem to have permanent dark patches under my eyes that weren't there. The cheek fillers that were suppose to "lift and give a youthful appearance" don't look any different than before I went in. Now Christy was NOT the original injectionist, but she did offer some assistance in reversing the horrific effects I was left with.

She dissolved the injectables I had paid for to enhance my appearance. It's really all she could do to help me since Dr. Beer refused to stand by his work and allow for proper correction to the service I had paid for. So, a cosmetic surgery doctor, allowed a person seeking help to leave having paid for a service that did not work, left me looking worse than before I had entered, and then paid services were essentially erased. It's astonishing that he is still getting clients if that is the sort of customer treatment being rendered.

Please do not entrust your face to this office.*note: this office had two chances to make things right after I expressed my dissatisfaction. They did not offer treatment beyond dissolving the filler I had paid for.

I went there for months due to a skin problem and they just kept setting up new appointments and giving me creams and lotions that never worked. They kept trying to get my insurance to approve different meds but were unsuccessful and basically just couldn't help me at all.

Giving three stars because the office staff and the doctor are all very professional and pleasant to deal with. My daughter seen Dr. Triplett - re: redness on the corners of her nose. After one year, a few visits to their office, no diagnosis, and two prescriptions later, her issue is still unresolved. Due to this, we'll be going elsewhere for a second opinion.

Their billing is terrible which must be a third party who handles it. She had services rendered in March, with dual insurance, and I literally had to call the billing department 7 times to ask them to bill our secondary insurance. I just received another statement in the mail so I called the secondary insurance today, and they stated the claim was recieved on July 7th. Four months later.yikes.

In my opinion, Dr. Beer is the most insensitive Dermatologist on the planet. I had a question and was scared that I had been double dosed on a powerful biologic that they prescribed and they did nothing to to get back to me or even call to go over my concerns. Instead they wanted to charge me $125 for a telemedicine appointment. Then they send me a letter withdrawing my care from their clinic. I will never go there again and I recommend you don't either. Dr. Beer should open a check cashing business instead of trying to help people.

I wouldn't recommend the services for Botox to anyone. Totally unprofessional. They do lie about the amount of Botox you are getting an overcharge you. I don't know what other services are provided in this office but as for Botox please check them out before you even make an appointment.

They just want your money and will bill for nothing without warning! I have been coming here for over 6 years, as it was the closest derm and I was happy with the treatment I received until recently. My husband had an appointment that was scheduled one year in advance and did not receive a reminder for an appointment that was schedule ONE YEAR IN ADVANCE.

He found out about the appointment because mailed letter and sent a bill. Of course they couldn't have picked up the phone, just sent a bill to collect their $75 no show fee. I called and the woman I spoke to directed me to the HIPPA policy where its states these are courtesy calls and you may not get one. Oh you mean in the pile of paperwork you expect us to sign and read in 15 minutes?

No one reads that and they need to be clear every time you schedule an appointment that you are on the hook for $75 for no show and you will NOT get a reminder like the one that every other medical professional provides for appointments scheduled ONE YEAR IN ADVANCE. Also part of their paperwork is to give them your credit card so they can bill you whenever they like, I said no to that and glad I did.

I will NOT be paying that no show fee. The woman I spoke to was so rude and unprofessional, I was too angry and forgot to get her name. I had a surgery scheduled for next week that I will be canceling. I'd rather start over then ever trust that office again! Additionally, the male NP there prescribed an alcohol based solution for my 6 year old's cradle cap that sent him through the roof with pain and of course it was $100, of which was wasted.

Then they wanted to burn moluscum off my 5 year old, not even mentioning several other much less painful treatments that my Stanford pediatric physician is using. These people are aesthetic only who just want your money, go elsewhere if you have real medical issues.

Excellent Patient Care! Front office staff were very friendly, accommodating, and answered all my questions. My visit was thorough and informational, the medical assistants are also very friendly, I've seen most physicians in office, and had a great experience with all of them!

Edited review: I had given Dr. Beer 5 stars. Recently we began having issues with billing. They were charging us for no-show appointments for appointments that had been cancelled or rescheduled. I have stopped going to them because it was such a hassle to deal with these charges.

I took my dear mother to him many times. Both he and his staff were beyond superb! Best dermatologist I or my parents have ever been to, as understatements go. He quickly and painlessly removed many precancerous and cancerous growthes from my mother, possibly saving her from terminal cancer, and giving her many more years of happy life. I don't think you could find a more knowledgable or skilled dermatologist anywhere, not even Stanford, UCSF, UCLA, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Mass. General, etc. If only my insurance covered him.

Dr. Beer and his wonderful are truly awesome. Dr. Beer is highly qualified in all areas of dermatology. From his wonderful medical spa, acne treatments and highly skill and trained skin cancer. BALFOUR DERMATOLOGY is a beautiful office.
