I attended PSMTHC and absolutely loved it! I was changing careers from a teacher to a massage therapist, but had no idea what I was doing! Judy, the director, helped me get signed up and set up with financial aid assistance and explained to me how the program worked. I chose the night classes because the schedule worked best for me. They also offer daytime classes.
The program works for just about anyone. After I was enrolled, Josh (who worked at the front desk when I attended) was always helpful with any questions I had. After the classes began, I was pretty overwhelmed at the expectations of the program. However, this school has the ABSOLUTE BEST INSTRUCTORS, HANDS DOWN! They are extremely knowledgeable about the material they teach, very willing to help each student individually, and go above and beyond to be certain the students understand everything taught.
The different courses taught are very useful! I don't feel like I had to "sit through" anything. I am an active LMT now, and use pretty much everything I learned. When I have forgotten anything, I have always been able to contact either of the three instructors I had (Sean, Alan, or Lisa) and they STILL help me by answering any questions I've ever had.
School was fun! Study groups were encouraged, hands on activities are a normal part of class, and the students and instructors felt like family! Some of them still are! I passed the MBLEX the first time I took it, but several friends of mine didn't. As a courtesy, the school/instructors offered a refresher course for those who needed it. They make every attempt to try to help you pass this intimidating exam.
Although it's intimidating, you only ever have to take it ONCE! I will also add that I started my own business right out of school. There have been several times that I have received calls from clients who got my number from the school. They make attempts to help all students with job placement if needed. I have talked to several massages therapists that attended other school who felt ill prepared for the "real world, " but I promise you I am confident that I was as prepared as I could ever be.
You won't regret these 8 months of your life! Being a LMT has allowed me to be my own boss, make more money, and best and most of all, make new friends/family! Thank you to all who were a part of my education and after! I highly recommend PSMTHC!

I want to become a medical assistant and Ms. Judy help make my dreams happen. Then when I went to class i seen all those younger adults, but Ms Lambeth being the Christian woman she is made you feel at ease. If you need anything Ms Lambeth is there to help you. I never thought I would make it through I keep thinking what am I doing going back to scholl at 60.
But Ms Lambeth said you can do it. Then it came time to graduate I did it and also made Salutatorian. I surprised myself. You have to study hard cause it is no picnic learning what you need to learn but you will be going to a great school and you will have an excellent clinical medical instructor named Ms Lambeth.

Mrs. Lambeth is a wonderful instructor who keeps you in the right head space you need to be in for class. She teaches you beyond what you learn in the books. PSMTHC is amazing for a Medical Assistant Career, or even just to get your foot in the door into something bigger. Mrs. Pieper also helps you along the way and keeps you in line with all your classes. I couldn't have gotten as far as I have without this place and their amazing staff.

This place is seriously no good i owe them a couple hundred dollars more and i have been receiving letters that they are going to sue me if i don't pay up NOW even though i made payment arrangements. i used up my CAA to go here, my financial aid and out of my pocket i am a military wife and let me tell you this place is not (accredited nationwide) i was not ale to get a job in Pensacola or anywhere else. We moved and still nothing. Their curriculum does not meet standards here where i am. Honestly save yourself the headache and go to Pensacola state

I attended the Medical Assistant program at this school. Although, it does seem to be disorganized, the instructors are wonderful and gave me the education I wanted. If you are faithful to yourself and truly want the education, you can overlook all the imperfections. I did. As for the previous review regarding students paying different amounts.that depends on the grants and student loans you qualify for. Don't let a disgruntled student stop you from getting the education you deserve!
