Are usually don't leave reviews but displays is one of the best salons I've been to. Everyone is very courteous, clean and professional As well as everyone aims to please. I highly recommend salon Amarti and spa.

I've been coming here for almost a year to get my nails done, and Cindy is the absolute best! I've been so many other places and I can honestly say that as long as I live in this area, I will not let another soul touch my nails. My acrylic sets always come out flawless, the polish selection for gel is so good, and I always leave feeling like a million bucks! If I could leave 100 stars I absolutely would!

This is my new go-to hair spot! I can't recall the name of the gentleman who did my hair but he was FANTASTIC and very efficient. I have super long hair and wanted full platinum highlights. He was extremely thorough and was still able to give me exactly what I wanted in a shorter amount of time than other places normally take. They also didn't charge anything extra for long hair which many other places have.

All around vibe of the salon was very posh, clean and relaxing. I told all my blonde friends about this spot immediately, and would highly recommend it for all others who want high quality highlights for a really good price.

I've been coming here for years for haircuts. Sammy and Oulfa have both cut my hair before and they are both amazing. It's easy to call and make appointments when you want them. Overall a no frills, no fuss salon with talented people.

Never going back. I asked for a trim and the man cut off about 3 inches on one side and 1 inch on the other. Here is a picture of my god awful haircut UPDATE: went back and asked for a refund and he said he would fix it then proceeded to blamed the cut on me because of parting it different. Then said he fixed it and this is the result.

Fun and relaxing experience. Mimi is very sweet and knowledgeable and she did a great job on my haircut / one color process. I have also done microdermabrasion with Brittney who did an awesome job and gave good advice on taking care of my skin. This salon is a refreshing/affordable experience for an Old Town business.

I absolutely love Mimi. She is amazing at everything and so fun to talk to! I've been searching for a lifetime salon for years, and I'll never go anywhere else! Everyone at the salon feels like family, and you're always comfortable. It's hard to find a stylist that understands the right way to do blonde highlights when you have fine hair, and Mimi is an expert. I've had other women ask me where I get my hair done, and I can't refer her enough!

Brittany was awesome; one of the best facials I've ever had. She was very thorough and informative, and while I was still able to relax, I left feeling like I knew way more about my skin's current needs. Looking forward to my next visit!

Mimi is a magician. I am always beyond thrilled by everything I get done by her. Cut, color, highlights is always absolutely perfect. It is such a warm place and an amazing deal for what you pay. I can not recommend this salon or Mimi highly enough.

I love this salon. Mimi has been coloring my red for almost a year and I wouldn't trust anyone else. She is fun, does an amazing job and always makes time for me. Inside the salon has comfortable couches, water, and coffee while you wait. They also have a great assortment of professional products that are usually on sale.

I went to Amarti for eyelash extensions and I highly recommend booking an appointment with Hannah! I have long natural lashes, but they are light in color and very straight, so my make up routine involved rotations of mascara and curling my lashes over and over again. A friend suggested I look into getting extensions, so I figured the holiday season would be the perfect time to give it a try and I'm so glad I did, especially due to Hannah's meticulous application and expertise.

She is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the field. She took great care of me throughout the entire appointment, made sure I was comfortable, and provided great advice to maintain the look, along with how I can keep the lashes clean. I'm so glad I met Hannah! The frequent compliments, as well as the new and improved speedy make-up routine, prove that eyelash extensions by Hannah are well worth it!

Called in to see if I was in the right area. A member of the staff kindly gave some near by places and I was able to find right location. Upon arrival I was greeted by a beautiful friendly staff. My microdermabrasion expert came out and greeted me with a friendly smile. Overall 10 for location 10 for cleanliness 10 for an excellent staff and 10 for an excellent service.

Omg this place is pure heaven. When I walked by and looked inside I felt like this is where every woman in town should want to have her hair done. I spoke to Brittany at the front desk about the services there. She was actually a Esthetician, not a receptionist. She gave me a tour of the salon and I ended up talking to her about my skin for 30 minutes.

I'm not sure I've talked about my skin for 30 minutes ever before. Her shabby chic spa room convinced me to book with her. The adornment of chandeliers from the front door to the back is purely spectacular. Just wow!

Sami killed it! Not only was he fun and personable, he did an amazing job and got it just right for me. Super happy with the service, the salon and the whole vibe.

My 11 year old step daughter saved money to get her hair done, ombre with vibrant colors. We made an appointment with Sam, when we got there Sam pass it to Mimi, she colored her hair and at the end it wasn't as vibrant as she want it but as polite as she is she said thanks and paid $140. In less then 3 days her hair was faded and didn't look like she had it done at all. Very disappointing with this place for the poor job that they have done. Also, it is not the first time that I make appointment with them and get pass to an other person.

This place is terrible. Everything is dirty - there was a ton of garbage sitting outside that was disgusting. That was also probably where the flies came from. Also, the entire place smells like smoke. And the owner was rude. It's basically.nothing that I want in a salon experience.

This review is exclusively for Lamiaa, my go-to stylist who left her previous post before I managed to write this review. So here it is: I've been going to Lamiaa for almost 3 years now and finally bit the bullet this summer and had my hair colored (ombre). I have dark, thick hair and was worried that an ombre wash might make me look trashy, but Lamiaa did a fantastic job.

As with my first haircuts, she explained exactly what she was going to do, and unlike with haircuts, making a hair-dyeing operation look "natural" takes a lot of time! I really appreciated how methodically she executed the bleach brushing, and I admired her restraint as she teased and painted my hair. As a nice added touch, she even gave me some ombred wisps around the crown of my hair. I've received a gazillion complements from old friends and new acquaintances alike-- thanks so much, my friend!

My experience at Salon Amarti was strange, but the haircut was good. First, there were a lot of flies buzzing around, at least 5 or 6 in the salon area, which was off-putting. Then, they were playing some sort of Shakira DVD or music station on the TV with music videos? After 45 minutes of only Shakira I was going insane. The decor could use a serious upgrade too.

Lots of clutter and fake plants, not the vibe of an upscale salon. After my shampoo, the woman just left me sitting there. After 10 minutes of me sitting there wondering what was going on as she went outside, checked her phone, etc. I realized that it was part of the Groupon, the "deep conditioning." She never said anything though so I thought I was waiting on the stylist, when it turned out she WAS the stylist (I thought she was just doing the shampoo). From there things improved, and the haircut turned out well, but it was just such an odd place I won't return.

Pretty average salon. About 5 salon chairs. Doesn't seem like they get very busy. Just went in for a simple shampoo and blow dry. The shampoo guy seemed confused the whole time - like he had to check with the stylist as to what to do. And the front desk girl spent most of the time on her cell phone. But I did walk away with a nice style. $45 for a wash and blow dry does seem steep though. Big upside is you won't have an issue getting an appt so if you're in a bind it's a good go-to.

I love this salon! I've been there for a mani/pedi and to get my hair cut. Iliyana, the nail technician, is great at her work, fun to talk to, and makes the overall experience really pleasant. The nail area isn't huge or overly fancy, but it is very relaxed and worth a visit, for sure. Sammy has been my stylist each time I've been in. He is incredibly knowledgeable and listens well to the client's input and desires for their hair. I loved going to this place. I've moved away from the area, and am sad to have left this great salon behind.

Had an excellent experience at Salon Amarti. I found the place through living social since I'm new to the area I didn't know where to go. I was able to book an appointment for the day after I called. Nasy did an excellent job with my hair! She gave me an awesome cut and color that I love. It was probably one of the best experiences Ive had at a hair salon.

The place was nice, calm and quiet (I was the only customer there for the evening). If I'm still in the area when I'm due for another hair cut or color, I will defenitely go back!

I love this salon! Sammy is amazing, color is always spot on and he styles the way you want it. I have had bad experiences with stylists not cutting the way I asked, but Sammy talks about it first and makes sure he does it right. Highlights are always beautiful. Everyone who leaves the salon always looks like perfection. They also offer some spa services. And sometimes wine if you're there at the right time. Super nice and friendly, I've been going since 2007 and will never go anywhere else!

I got ready here with my bridal party and they were amazing! I would highly recommend to anyone for a special occasion. They opened up the salon an hour early for us and did an amazing job on everyone's hair and makeup. I was expecting us to run late but not only did we finish on time but we finished early! They did a beautiful job on 9 hair dos and 3 make ups.

They were very flexible and at the last minute when my Mom decided that she had to get her make up done too- they worked her in with no problem. Naci did a wonderful job- she did all of the make up and three people's hair and it looked amazing. They really listened to what everyone wanted and delivered. They worked well with both people who knew exactly what they wanted and other people who needed a little more inspiration. The hair and make up held up for the entire day and looked wonderful. Very happy and will definitely be returning for my regular hair cuts and style.

I've been going to the salon for almost a year and half. I've never had a bad experience :) Even one time when I was more than half an hour late (there was a parade in Old Town and half the streets were blocked off) Everyone at the Salon was so nice about still fitting me into their busy schedule. I normally have Sammi cut and partially highlight my hair. he does a great job. You can tell he really wants everyone to have a great experience and walk out with a smile.

I have been going to Salon Amarti for almost 2 years now. Like many new transplants in the area, searching for the right salon is like kissing many frogs. until you find the one! My search was over when I discovered this gem through a Living Social coupon. With many obstacles, my work week, texture of my hair, color process, etc., I was definitely grateful that they could accommodate my needs.

Upon arrival, I did not have to wait long -- unlike many salons who schedule and still are not ready by the time you get there -- I was immediately given a consult. Since my hair is thick, long and very curly, my needs are very precise of knowing how my hair will respond to cuts and/or color. My stylist, Sammy, listened patiently and offered his ideas and opinions. glad I took his advice!

In my two years of visiting this salon, all experiences have been wonderful. cut, color, highlights, shampoo and styling! So happy with my results, I'm eventually going for the next procedure of Keratin treatment with Salon Amarti. can't wait! The overall welcoming atmosphere, decor and friendly employees here remind me my of my favorite salon in Los Angeles. If you are looking for a new salon I absolutely recommend coming here!

I had a Living Social deal for a cut and partial highlights. When I called to make an appointment they answered right away and were very polite. I arrived almost a half hour early and they were able to take me right away. Trepka was my stylist, and she was very attentive and knowledgeable. She asked me a lot of questions about what I wanted and worked very efficiently.

She also gave me some great advice about dealing with my thin/wavy/style damaged hair. My cut wasn't anything too fancy (just what I wanted) and the highlights turned out beautifully. The salon itself was clean and the massaging shampoo chairs were amazing! I would definitely go back to Trepka for highlights- she did an amazing job!
