In 1990 I started practicing massage in a converted closet in the Rusty Parrot Lodge. Five years later, I discovered the healing benefits of spa therapies and opened the Body Sage as the 1st spa in Jackson. The seed for the Body Sage was planted a several years earlier when I left a corporate career and bought a one-way ticket to Bali.

Each year we break out of the race on our anniversary to renew our wedding vows in a different state, it is an awesome way to experience this great country of ours. This year we looked forward to truly getting off the grid in Wyoming. Online reviews can sometimes be difficult to decipher, because we all have different standards. So for this review (which I do not do enough of) I wanted to seize the opportunity to brag on the team (not staff) that truly desired to make sure our stay was something special.
Within hours are online booking James reached out to learn how he could assist us, from restaurant suggestions/reservations, to helping us discover what options were available for tours. We had some ideas, done some online research and with James help, we nailed down our itinerary and he proceeded to make the needed bookings. We all know plans can or need to adjust.
One call to the Rusty Parrot family (notice the shift from team to family) and they were happy to help make the call or adjustment. Day Two included a trip to the Rusty Parrot Spa and in room dining from Wild Sage. We consider ourselves very fortunate to understand the benefits of massage therapy and have enjoyed them from a variety of professionals.
While the Spa does not have all the typical features you might find at full spa experience (sauna, hot tub, aroma shower) this should not detour you. A Spa Experience You Dream Of. Just as James, Andrew and Jared at the front desk desired to make our stay exceptional, Taylor and Sicily delivered a massage that you can only dream of at The Body Sage Spa.
A top level experience that I would consider flying back for just for the massage treatment. What better way to wrap up the evening then to slip into the Hot Tube and then in room dining from Wild Sage. Braised Bison Short Ribs, Fresh Tomato Soup and garden salad that was far from standard (very unique play with the Hearts of Palm). We stayed only for a couple of days, but would have loved a few more.
Early morning photo safari left us in a slight rush during our packing and rush to the airport. In between flights we received an email from Jennifer (2 hours later) sharing that house keeping found something that did not get packed (have you ever done that?) and that they were confirming our address so they could ship it to us. WHAT? That was a level of service that I had yet to experience. So, would we go back? In a heartbeat! Rusty Parrot is small, a little pricey wen you compare to others, but worth every bit we spent.

My husband and I honeymooned here in May 2017. It was the best night sleep ever, best service, best water, best room. We came home and bought the same make of bed, and renovated our bedroom using this place as our inspiration. We loved the outdoor deck.hot tub, fire pits, seating and all. I was devastated to read about the fire, and see that the room we stayed in was taken out by the fire.the building is structurally damaged by the recent fire.
My condolences to the owners and all the amazing folks that worked there and lived nearby. Everyone was like one big family there.they were great to each other, great to the visitors and patrons. It was just such a wonderful stay, an amazing experience that we will always cherish. Please rebuild soon. We would love to come back and be a part of the new chapter of the Rusty Parrot.

My wife and I stayed at the Rusty Parrot for two nights on our first visit to Jackson. We were greeted with friendly staff and a handwritten note in the room welcoming us to the hotel. They also provided some fruit for us, too. In the evening they would bring chocolates (pictured) which just made us feel more welcome at the hotel. The room was incredibly clean and we were impressed that they also provided a humidifier as it can get dry at night.
We really appreciated that detail! The location was really convenient to get out to the downtown area and also out to the national parks north of the city. Overall it was a very clean and quiet hotel and we really enjoyed our stay at the Rusty Parrot. And a special shout out to Jeff for lighting the fireplace in our room! It was perfect and really helped us to relax and enjoy our time. We will definitely be coming back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was always cleaned 2x a day (if it's not occupied) and at night they would leave a couple gourmet chocolates. Another cute little touch is that theyd place a stuffed teddy bear and position it "climbing" the dresser. Their toiletries were excellent (L'Occitane) and they were not stingy at ALL with replacing what you've used.
They had some construction going on during our stay (we stayed during the "off" season) and the staff was awesome at making sure the hot tub was cleared when you wanted to use it. The restaurant at the hotel, Sage, was unbelievably good. I was skeptical bc of its tiny menu but omigosh was it so good! It was very close to the main square where all the shops and nightlife is but far enough away that you had quiet and privacy. 10/10 would reccomend and stay again.

In the 20+ years I've been living in Jackson Hole have been fortunate to have several massages and facials at the Rusty Parrot; each experience has been relaxing, rejuvenating, and always first rate. The massage I had with Brandi yesterday (with CBD oil as an add-on) was all that and more: I used the words "miraculous" and "life-changing" with my friends!
Before we began I expressed to her issues I'd been having (specifically with both shoulders/biceps/wrists/hands) and she was incredibly gifted in being able to work on those areas as well as my entire body. Both immediately after the massage and this morning I had much more mobility in my arms, and was pain free; I cannot recommend Brandi/the Rusty Parrot highly enough.

I can't remember when I had a more relaxing, rejuvenating and thoroughly uplifting massage in my life! Virgia was reverential and truly in tune with my body, working on areas of tension in my neck and shoulders, but careful to honor my request for a mostly soothing experience. It was as much as a spiritual renewal as it was bodily.

I received a gift certificate to Body Sage for Christmas and was excited to use it during a recent trip to Jackson. It exceeded my expectations! I arrived early to the spa and was greeted with a serene atmosphere. The receptionist poured me a glass of water and I was able to enjoy the hot tub for a while before my scheduled massage. The hot tub was outside with a view of the mountains and a great touch to start my experience!
My massage itself was wonderful. Karen used great deep pressure and I was able to add on cupping as well as a hand/foot treatment. Afterward, there is a private restroom to shower off and change. I would definitely visit again!

As a massage therapist and full time student I came here looking for someone to help me relax as usually I am the one helping others relax. Both my massage therapist and esthetician were hands down out of the world. Their service was incredible and worth every penny. If you need to indulge yourself while on vacation then definitely look into their services. I chose one of their 4 hour packages but I doubt you could go wrong with any of their experiences.

While I may not be a patron of the hotel, the spa at the Rusty Parrot Lodge is incredible. I highly recommend a Natural Ritual Bath after a long day of shredding powder-- everything from the locally sourced massage oils and scrubs to the cozy bathrobes and highly skilled massage therapists made the experience worthwhile. When compared to the spas in Teton Village, this one stands out for its rustic charm and attention to detail. I will absolutely be back!

I got a massage here and it was amazing. They offer quite a few other services that I would love to try if I'm ever in the area again. The atmosphere from registration until I left was very soothing. I felt very pampered. It's a little pricier than most massage therapists I've gone too in the past, but it was very well worth the money. As you wait for your therapist they bring you water.
The massage room was beautiful and had a tub in it for some of their services. My masseuse made sure to talk with me beforehand, so we were clear on my needs, as well as likes and dislikes. I loved it. The actual spa is in a building behind the area where people register as guests of the hotel. There is parking available close to the spa as well. Jackson is so small that I just walked over though.

Very unassuming building, both outside and in, but in this spa, relaxation and good vibes abound. Very professional staff, clean facilities, high quality products. I purchased the 3 hour Japan Bath House Ritual with add-on dry brushing and it was phenomenal. My massage therapist helped me to stretch and relax muscles I had forgotten I had and I felt like a new person. Highly recommend this spa for desperately needed R&R or a loosen up following a strenuous hike or workout.

I can't speak to the purchasing process, as my massage was a gift, but the massage itself was wonderful. Karen is magical! She was very thoughtful, and honored my request of a light-to-moderate massage. When she came across a knot or problem area, she didn't ignore it. She took her time to address my knots and gave extra attention to my upper back, as I requested. The best massage I have received to date!

5/17 Kathy. Two weeks ago today, we were just arriving at Rusty Parrot for 5 nights. From first day to last, the service was 5/5. We celebrated my husbands birthday and our 40th wedding Anniversary, the Whole staff treated us very special. They serviced our room twice a day, facility is very clean. Dinner was top-notch! I would love to go back again. Thank you Harrison Family and The Rusty Parrot Team!

I received a gift certificate for spa services and had a wonderful experience. I requested a massage therapist with experience in deep tissue massage and got exactly what I requested. Amanda was great, professional, and very nice. The scrub was amazing, and the massage included much-needed stretching. Maggie then gave me a one-hour facial that was relaxing and felt great.
I walked out after my appointment feeling 100% better than when I arrived. I highly recommend this spa for cleanliness, excellent service, and great therapists. I can't wait to go back!

If you walk into a massage with pain, and you walk out with your pain relieved -- and it is still gone 4 days later -- then you've got to give the therapist 5 stars, right? I believe that the therapist, Teagan, is new to Body Sage. She was very thorough, professional, and effective. The spa environment is calming, welcoming. I'm already planning a return visit on my next trip to Jackson.

Upon arrival the property was unassuming. After being there for a few days the subtleties became more apparent. The breakfast was delicious. Dinner was amazing. The service was prompt & courteous without being overbearing. The upgraded room was spacious & comfortable. Especially the bed. And of course, the daily cookies! I will stay there the next time that I am in the area.

My husband and I have traveled widely but never have we found such an excellent small hotel. Everything about it was perfect. They even give you a teddy bear to sleep with (I did). The restaurant is exceptional. We did not plan to eat there but ended up eating there every night. And the coffee! Best ever. The spa was great. The staff were all one could wish. Of course, the mountains were amazing. Go there, the price. It is VERY reasonable for what you get. Phil and Lee Marking

Every Time I come to Jackson Hole I have a massage at the Body Sage at the Rusty Parrot. But this year Taylor who does both a deep tissue massage also with some Thai massage included did an exceptional job. I had just finished a 6 hr horseback ride the day before and was extremely sore? And she helped me feel so much better for my 12 hr day of returning home on 3 different airline stops. Carol

Had a reflexology massage here recently while on vacation. I had decided to have a second massage after receiving a terrible one by Olga at Snow King Resort. My massage therapist was a sweetheart (telithia?). She made my hands and feet feel brand new! There were gingersnaps, oranges, and fruit water to be had while waiting for the massage. The place was impeccably clean! Con: The walls are super thin and I could hear everything going on in the waiting room, which luckily wasn't a lot. Maybe turn up the music in the rooms? My only regret was that I wasn't early enough to change into a robe and have some tea. Next time!
