To ensure maximum results, our experienced Estheticians use only top-of-the-line products and techniques to create customized services for each individual. Far beyond what is experienced at most day spas, our treatments use expert combinations of massage, exfoliation, cleansing and hydration. Many of our facials even extend to your hands and feet, moisturizing and gently massaging them while your masque or steam is taking effect. Our skin treatments really need to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
Remember, gift cards are purchased for a monetary amount which can be applied to any spa service or product. So, when giving a card it is nice to suggest what package or service it could be used for, but let the recipient know they can use it for whatever they wish. It is a nice gesture to add enough onto the gift card amount to cover a gratuity and amenity fee (9%) - that way the recipient doesn't have to worry about payment at all on the day they enjoy their spa experience.It's not too late!

Massage appointment was booked for 90'min Deep Tissue. The masseuse met me and showed me a "Sampler Massage" note and I quickly informed her that I booked a Deep Tissue massage and that my lumbar region and hips were tight due to travel and work. She proceeded to lightly swirl her hands on my back and gave me the lighted massage one could possibly receive after informing her that I booked anDeep Tissue massage. She never touched my Lumbar are not my hips. After 20 mins of this she pressed her elbows into my shoulder blades and I thought ok finally getting some pressure but then quickly moved to legs and arms and here she honest just applied oil.
I literally should not feel her thumbs. I've received 100's of massages at various prices but have never received this little in a massage. I literally couldn't wait to be done. I exited tot he receptionist where I asked for the manager. She listened to me and quickly said she would give me 10% off for the poor massage. I then handed her my 10% coupon and she said she could do both at which time I said please just close my bill so I can leave.
I really couldn't believe what I was hearing. Please don't expect this place to meet expectations. I hear their other spa services are quite good but would waste my money getting a massage here.

This has historically be my favorite spa. My last visit was not the jubilation that I have experienced in the past. My massage was started 10 minutes late and I was not offered any oil scents. It was not communicated to me the my steam shower time was now cut to no time. I was not guided on the controls nor offered any oil scent for my steam shower, I was just dropped at the door with my name and 4:35 on the door.
I didn't realize there was water in the steam shower and went out to find some before I got into the shower. When my facial time came, there was a knock on my door and I pretty much put on my robe and raced out still wet. During my facial I was not given the hand mittens which is my absolute favorite thing. Once again no communication during the facial.
The extractions were focused on my nose and they really hurt. I felt like I was being punished for being late when I did not think it was my fault as I was there and ready long before my 3:30 massage time. Although my facial was started late, I was done about 5 mins before my friend. My friend was worried sick about me during her facial. All she knew is that she had asked if someone could check on me since she was told I was still in steam shower. She was listening for paramedics and not relaxing during her facial.

Both Marty and myself enjoyed our Therapist/Aesthetician. I especially loved mine. I was sad to hear that both Vicky and Marina left, but I'm happy I was replaced with someone outstanding. This was Marty's first time at a spa. He was overjoyed; he still talks about it. I treated him to this experience, because of all that he does for me. I'm confused. I had a great massage today, and always loved coming here over the years. Today I was hit the additional costs that I hadn't seen on the website or experienced before. I had a 60 minute massage, which was listed for $155, but then with all the additional costs and taxes I was left with a bill for $190.25. I feel bad for the masseuse, I gave her what I could but I'm just a bit in shock at the pricing structure.
Perhaps I didn't see these extra costs when I made the appointment, otherwise I wouldn't have, but I do feel there was a lack of communication here. Thank you for the massage, it was much needed and I had a great experience - just wish I could have tipped her more.

I have gone here several times and have always enjoyed my time there. I got the signature package with an 50 min massage. She did a wonderful job. Asked if there were areas I wanted to focus on. I said my feet since I walk the dog so much. Then I had a steam shower, followed by a facial. That is where things got a little uncomfortable. Ppl go to the spa to relax a let go of there troubles and the worlds troubles for a little while.
A different woman did my facial and she got too personal and then brought up how her friend sent her an article on the terrible side effects that the vaccine will cause years down the road. I work with world renowned scientist who understand and trust how this vaccine was developed. I didn't come to the spa to hear some anti vaxers conspiracy theory.
The spa is kept very clean and tidy by an attendant. The beds are comfortable, they provide robes, sandals, lockers and private changing stations. There quiet room has spa water, juice, snacks

Extremely impressed with the The Spa Los Gatos! Booked their Signature Massage and from the moment we arrived, everything was just amazing. Extremely friendly, attentive, and professional staff. Lovely little store with some great gift finds. Comfy waiting area for before treatment, and a wonderful steam shower post massage. I would highly recommend this spa.

This spa was amazing. Booked a Signature massage for myself and one for my daughter. The experience overall was professional, comfortable, inviting and relaxing. From very courteous and friendly staff, to comfortable waiting areas, a cute shop, and two great masseuses' treatment, we had a great time. Highly recommend their massages (they end with a steam shower that is fabulous). We will definitely be back.

I feel like a brand new person! I went for an end of year hot stone massage. Sylvia was fantastic! I hadn't had a massage in almost 2 years so I was long overdue. She was great in giving me some overall work as well as paying attention to some areas I had said were bothering me lately. The staff overall were great. The facilities and amenities are wonderful. I loved the steam shower. I left feeling so incredibly relaxed! The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I didn't find this spa sooner!

I don't get facials all that often. This year I have received two and, before that, I think it had been at least 5 years and a gift certificate to prompt. That said, I got a gc this year for my birthday and went to get a facial. I was scheduled with Tara and had such a great experience that I booked a second for a period of time when I knew my stress level would likely be very high. Needless to say, it was a good call. Stress level was high and scheduling time with Tara brought it right down. She is lovely, pays attention to the little details, and makes me feel great.

We are very excited that Sherry joined Los Gatos salon and spa. She is the best. Both my wife and I are her loyal customers for about 10 years. Her skills and talent are amazing. We trust her taste and style. I am pretty conservative with my hair and always get perfect and consistent results. My wife however likes to change her hairstyle, color or highlights. I went to the salon which is in The Spa yesterday to see Sherry. She did a great job on covering my roots and styling it before I head to SF to see my girl friends for a party. She always keeps the color consistent. She had done the highlights for my hair before and I was always happy with the results. The Spa is a clean place with friendly staff. You would love the ambiance and strolling in beautiful Downtown Los Gatos with lively restaurants and shops.

Friend and I had appointments booked for facials, but when I called to confirm the aestheticians were vaccinated the answer was no. I then asked if they do some kind of testing for Covid and still no. How can a person feel safe having someone work on your face for an hour or more who is not vaccinated? This seems like a requirement for workers who are with another in a small room for an extended time. They say they are doing safe practices, but that is the minimum if you care about your clients. People get vaccinated to protect the people around them including customers.

This was my first visit! I was able to find it easily, and I really appreciated the available parking, considering that it is is located in a busy downtown. Check in was welcoming and pleasant, and the lobby was filled with a lovely scent. I was offered red or white wine, and then given a brief tour. It was cozy, dimly lit, clean and lovely. The changing area was nice and had the standard amenities.
I waited in "The Library" where there were magazines and a simple assortment of snacks and beverages. My masseuse was Sindy and she was so friendly and low key. I felt very comfortable. Sindy explained everything and I was able to just relax and enjoy my spa service. She was a terrific masseuse and I had a truly therapeutic experience, thanks to her. I think The Spa is worth experiencing, and I can't wait to return!

I forgot to write a review when I went here last March but wanted to be sure to give them credit for being a great spa! The entire experience, from the moment I stepped in the front door to the time I left, was exceptional. I received the 50-minute Signature massage which came with the steam shower. Upon entering, they checked me in and offered me a glass of champagne, which I gladly accepted.
I was then taken to the locker room where I was able to change in privacy into my robe and then put my clothes in a secure locker. I then went to a dim room where I waited for my masseuse. While in the room, I had a selection of teas, juices and nuts to snack on. I poured some orange juice into my champagne to make a mimosa. Once I entered my massage room, they had 3 or 4 different oil scents for them.
The message flew by so quickly and felt very nice - my masseuse used the perfect amount of pressure throughout the entire massage. I also appreciated that she didn't try to talk to me too much during the massage, as I wanted to be fully relaxed. After the massage, I was taken to my steam shower. I was given the choice to choose an essential oil in my steam room, which was a nice touch. I'll be honest, the steam room was intense and I probably won't do it again - you can't see much and it does get a little difficult to breathe. Many people enjoy this part, though, so that is just my personal opinion. Overall, I would definitely recommend this! It is priced nicely for the services received.

Truly ridiculous. I got a hair mask here unopened and it says "The Spa Los Gatos" on the label. They wouldn't let me EXCHANGE it for the other mask. What a joke, really. I came here for years for my facial but they lost me as a customer and I'll be sharing this with the other 6 people I know who have been coming here as well. I understand if it was opened and used up that they wouldn't accept an exchange but it's wrapped up.
About the place in general, the decor is from 1980s and crusty. Didn't take a photo as you shouldn't have your phone inside the spa for customer privacy. The front desk is a revolving door. They have more turnover than any place I've seen in this field. If you want a relaxing spa place, go somewhere more updated. I liked Jenny for facials so I kept coming here despite the decor and depressing ambiance.
The paintings on the walls belong in Goodwill. Paint the walls a light gray, get some nice ocean pictures or something. This experience has officially ended me giving this place another chance.

I've been a LONG time client and I've finally had it their sometimes-crappy stylists. As a side note it's also largely more expensive, both in services and products they sell than any other salon in Los Gatos (which is saying a lot). To be fair, I've had a few pretty awesome haircuts from there, but oh my lord today was A DAY. This week I wanted to get a cut and color from a stylist named T.
I get a call the day before originally and they tell me it has to be rescheduled. Today I came in at the rescheduled appointment and literally waited 30 minutes for the T to show up (who was apparently not responding) finally having wasted enough of my day I left. I've had good haircuts at Aqua before but after today I'm taking my business elsewhere.

The salon itself is elegant with great parking in the back, and conveniently located just a block beyond the craziness of the heart of downtown Los Gatos. Loliette, my hairdresser, is fast, fun, and extremely artistic in helping a person decide what hairstyle would look good on your face and be compatible with your hair type. I've tried other hairstylists closer to my home in Morgan Hill, but always return to Loliette, whose expertise has apparently spoiled me for using anyone else. So. I make the drive. Love Loliette!

I am by far one of the most (if not THE most)particular clients a stylist could ever encounter. I have extremely high standards, can be quite demanding, and I expect a great deal from my stylist. I work in the fashion industry and am in the eye of the general public daily and must look my best. If I could give this salon 0 stars I would. Staff was EXTREMELY rude. My friend had an appointment to which the stylist Francisco was completely disrespectful to the client. She had made an appointment for a root touch up and cut to which when she sat down claimed "he didn't know she was a blonde". He had a sour attitude the entire time and you could tell he just didn't want to work. I'm extremely appalled and will never be going back to this salon. Imagine charging $250+ for a terrible attitude and rude remarks. Awful.

Wish I could give it zero stars, the hair stylist was so rude and refused to do ANYTHING. Wouldn't dye roots bc my friend's hair was blonde, wouldn't cut hair with extensions in, said he couldn't do anything for her at all when she had an appointment. We came in at 9 am when the salon was empty and he refused to let us sit in empty chairs after the receptionists told us nobody would be in today to use them. Appalled at how rude the staff was and can't imagine how that man got a job when he seems to not know how to do anything or how to treat people. He's useless. The guy is named Francisco.

Update review because it's been years since my last one. 5 stars yet again. Over a decade of cuts, color, and babylights by LAURA and I'm still thrilled. She has consistently done a great job though all of my phases over the past 10 years. long & dark, to beachy blonde balayage and babylights, to short & pink, bangs or not, subtle or crazy, she does it all well.
I just can't express my gratitude. I'm at the point where I give her a general direction and just let her do her thing, because she really has an eye for it. Exciting to visit every time because I know I always love it. Highly recommend.

Horrible experience. Not ONLY was I there for 2 hours for a trim, I was told the cost was 65. Francisco forced me to pay 85. After I told him I was promised the price of $65, he argued with me for the extra 20. I only had $80 on me that he insisted that the price was still $85 causing a scene in the salon. Not only did you lose a customer, but I will be going out of my way to tell people not to go to Francisco for their hair cut.
The extra $20 was supposed to be a charge for styling, something he did not ask me about. After telling them that I was not told about this extra charge nor did I give consent to it, he changed what he said and said that his price was 85 because of the length of my hair.

Crystal is amazing! I have been getting my hair cut, highlighted, colored, and styled by Crystal for over 4 years now. From our first appointment and every appointment after, Crystal has always made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and achieved any look I wanted. She is friendly, understanding, easygoing, and very talented.
At the Aqua Salon, she is known as the "up-do queen" so I knew she could create my dream wedding hairstyle. For our trial, she was very attentive, flexible, and responsive on the type of look I was going for. Aqua Salon. A breath of fresh air from the moment you walk in. This was my first visit to Aqua Salon, and the moment I stepped in, I was blanketed in a beautiful aromatherapy. The exact scent that one wishes for when pampering oneself. Now, I can be very picky when it comes to haircuts. I saw Nicole that day, and I was very pleased with the results, and she was very patient with my requests. Nicole and I also had a nice chat during the time I spent in her chair. This review is for Diane, for wedding hair and makeup. Perfect. She worked with me, even as my ideas changed and the time ticked away. She handled 2 extra bridesmaids on top of what she was expecting and still got everyone done in time for pictures. I loved the broads in my hair and my makeup. Her personality really helped me on morning of the wedding. I will keep coming to her for my haircuts and recommend her to all my friends. I was recommended to her by a friend who gets her hair cut here too.

I had a groupon to get my hair cut by Francisco. My hair is straight & fine, but it also had a lot of volume, so people tend to think I have a lot of thick hair. I don't color, perm, straighten, curl, blow-dry, put hairspray or gel in my hair. Now, I live in Cotati and would normally never travel this far for a haircut, but I had an appointment in Fremont on the same day & I called 3 other "high end" salons in Petaluma, Palo Alto, & San Jose (none answered, 2 called me the day after, only 1 left a voicemail-for a blowout, the other called 2 days later) but when I called The Spa I got an answer right away & they were willing to work with my schedule.
My appointment was for 10:45 I saw Francisco a little after 11, he greated me then apologized for taking so long with the lady before me. We went to his chair & he looked at my hair told me he was going to change my layers and recommended I get a gloss (which I did) he washed my hair then cut my hair, so that if I was doing a handstand all my hair would be level to the ground, then did the gloss.
My hair turned out great minus a couple of spilt ends he missed (I told him healthy over long). Only thing I had an issue with is I was not told they were cash only: didn't see anything on groupon, their website, yelp says they accept credit cards, when I made the appointment I was not told. I found out when it was time to pay, overall everything cost $100, I bank with a credit union where I live & don't carry cash.
I had to walk down the street to a pizza shop & use the atm outside their building, the atm charges $2.25. For an expensive place they should accept credit cards, not just cash or check. or at least let their clients know beforehand.
