Jake Turner Salon & Spa

I moved down from the Northwest where I had been a regular at Gene Juarez salons for about 50 years. I couldn't seem to find its match until I found Jake Turner salon. Love the cuts, chat is personal without being invasive, staff is welcoming and there is a professional atmosphere here.

Great. I've been going there for over a year now for haircuts with Kenyon and nails with Olga.

I love Lisa Moniq! Clean salon! Friendly people! Centrally located with easy parking in the back.

I was charged $380 after a brutal day under Chris's expertise beauty experience at this salon. I scheduled an appointment for a full head of hi lights and cut and blow-dry. He tricked me into a corrective color but I don't think he knew what to do. He proceeded to put me under a dryer for 1 hour in the 120 degree temperature we were having outside.

I couldn't breathe and I wasn't offered any water. He decided to decolorize my hair and I am a foil client and always have been. I was beginning to think this was a prank! After 1 hour of this puzzling event he told me that he could not work on my hair. He said my hair was damaged and would break off. Now what I thought to myself was how can I leave or even pay for this when my hair is Orange?

I couldn't leave the salon with what he had said was as far he could go! My hair wasn't finished. So I asked him can you darken my roots and possibly lighten the ends. He did this to my hair at least. I'm trying to calculate how this was even the right thing to do? I should have just left the appointment or not came in. But he tricked me to go under the dryer and my hair was bright Orange!

I have a short hairstyle that goes to the nape of my neck. He cut a straight line and nothing in the interior. No layers no nothing. He gave me a balding bang trim that looks like my hair is receding. When I asked him to trim my bangs. I got the special treatment which he said whoops didn't mean to do that. I wish I never came into this appointment he's terrible.

Not a good colorist or hairdresser overall he is the worst. I was scared. And when all was done he laughed and said to the receptionist across the room $380! Coward and a theif

I'm glad to find another Aveda salon here in Coachella Valley. It pays to research! Others, overcharge, don't answer their phones and go home early, however, Jake Turner Salon is just the opposite with professional services. Chris and Palon were terrific too!

Chris has been my stylist all along. I know whats its like to own and operate a salon. So it only makes me appreciate the level of talent and professionalism this salon has to offer. I'm remain happy after 10 years.

Always a little hesitant to have my hair cut, and especially at a new salon! But Kenyon did the best haircut I have ever had, He took his time and was so impressive to watch! because of this excellent cut it easy for me to wash and dry it, it falls automatically in place! live in Seattle and might have to fly out just for the next haircut Thank you Kenyon, see you next time

This salon is gorgeous and perfectly tucked away behind El Paseo, always so clean and staff is friendly. Lisa Monique is not only stunning, but incredibly talented. She's calm, professional and witty. Since covid her and her assistant to go out of their way to keep me comfortable there, I absolutely recommend Lisa to anyone who comments on my hair.

Kenyon has been styling my hair for over 13 years. He had me at my first appointment with his "heartless mockery practiced here" sticker on his mirror. All kidding aside, the stylists at Jake Turner are talented, personable and a pleasure to go to. When you find a gem, there is no reason to look any more. Thank you Kenyon!

First time at this salon. Was recommended from a good friend. The Salon is beautiful and very clean. Everyone seems very nice and welcoming. Kenyon cut my hair and what an amazing job he did. As my hair was very long because of the shut down, there was a lot to cut. I feel back to my old self! I will be back for my next haircut. If you are looking for a great Salon, you won't be disappointed!

The location has some of the finest friendliest people I've met in my vacation here. I was drawn to the artwork ( star Wars fan). The location is beautiful and clean.

Every time I'm in the Coachella Valley I cannot pass up a chance to have my hair done by Chris Espinoza. He does the best work. Staff is super friendly. I leave feeling fabulous every time.

Not sure how I've managed to not write a review yet, but I've been going to Kenyon for over a year and have yet to have a single haircut that didn't look AMAZING. This is no small miracle because I have very fine hair and I wear it short, so if there are any flaws or weird spots, they will be very pronounced. But I have never had a single weird spot, and never gotten so many compliments (you short haired ladies know exactly what I'm talking about). Plus, I can walk in and show him a picture or just tell him to do whatever he feels like doing, and it will never look bad. He is by far the best stylist I've ever had.

Got my hair cut by Sophie and I love it. Don't get my haircut very often due to so many horrible hair cuts in the past. Prices are steep but definitely worth the quality.

Treated like Royalty right from the beginning. This place felt like a Beverly Hills Rodeo Dr. salon. They made us feel like VIP's when we walked in, complete with wine offerings!

Brenda Hanson is awesome! Through a friend I was referred to Brenda; all I wanted was a haircut. I called, she had an opening next day and I had an awesome haircut. Through our conversation I found out that she is a colorist, first and foremost. Got home to my friend's in the desert (I'm visiting) and decided I need a color touch up desperately. Texted her and she had an opening the next am at 10. She's a genius and owns the title! Will definitely come back to the desert just to see friends and to have Brenda do my cut and color!

Got a haircut with Kenyon. He's probably the best hair stylist in the desert hands down. I have never gotten a better haircut until he worked his magic. The staff is super Nice and know how to treat their clients. Not to mention the salon decor is really up to date and modern. Definitely recommend going to JT salon!

I get a lipomassage from Stephanie once every couple of weeks. It always helps me not feel sore from workouts and also flushes out my excess water and bloating. I'm pool ready the next day after getting rid of water weight.

Kenyon is a great stylist! I really love his color, but I also get cuts and Brazilian Blow-dry from him. Everyone is friendly. The salon is also very chic.

Where do I begin. Besides the fact that I absolutely love this salon. Shelbi always does my hair and it's always amazing. She's the one I go to for anything that has to do with my hair; if I want to go crazy and go a funky color or even if I need a trim. Everyone that works at the salon is super friendly! It's not like a typical salon where the other employees will ignore you because you're not their client; they're very friendly here.

I have gone from super dark, almost black hair to a platinum white. It's been a long process but Shelbi has stuck with me through the whole journey! I love the products that they use to wash your hair, it always smells so good! You'll never leave disappointed! Highly recommend this place for anyone that needs to get anything done with their hair!
