Massage Place

I've been 3 times now, twice with Madelyn and once with Holly. I can't recommend them enough! All three visits have been delightful. A massage can be an awkward or anxiety-producing event for some (like me). They walk you through an accurate "what to expect" on the website and offer multiple check ins during your visit. As most of the world moves on from COVID, they continue to have a mask mandate so you can be at ease in that regard as well.

I brought my business here because of the collective approach, tranquil setting, and social justice values. I'm staying because of the high quality massage paired with that!

I have been getting great massages from therapist Tracy Heron Moore for several years now. The Massage Place is also a nature preserve. I enjoy seeing deer, squirrels and birds out back before my massage each month.

I've gone to them twice. Both times pregnant and they are amazing! I don't remember my first one, but Madelyn was the one who massaged me recently. It was so much needed and she hit every point! Even spots I thought was not needed! Boy was I glad I didn't decide to cancel because I almost did. Madelyn definitely helped me feel comfortable and didn't rush me at all. She even made sure the amount of pressure was what I wanted. I felt so much better afterwards!

Gabe is amazing! I started coming here soon after I began a stressful job and I was trying to do some self care. The strain from work really takes a toll on my posture and my neck starts cramping so bad my fingers go numb from it. Gabe works on fasciae relief and really breaks up the tension in my body. He does a great job. I walk out of there a completely different person and people definitely notice it on how I walk. Gabe can apply the pressure if you need it but unlike other massages he can really ease the knots and provide relief without peeling you off the ceiling if you know what I mean.

He really knows how stress takes a toll on your body and how to relieve it. I sing his praises at work and others have started seeing him too and keep seeing him because he's eased "crisis moments" as one colleague said. Can't recommend this place enough.

No matter which therapist I see at The Massage Place, the experience is always a good one. Comfortable waiting area, therapists have good listening skills and adjust as necessary, I've even fallen asleep once (Sorry!).

I had my first massage with Tracy today. All I can say is that Tracy is AMAZING! She has an intuitive touch and really understands both the body and spirit. I am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of this experience. I will definitely go again, and again.

I had the massage of a lifetime. Dawnovin was awesome. I've never had anything like it and I've been getting massages for a very long time. The ambience and the rooms, and the gentle feel of the massage place is ideal for anybody needing a relaxing massage. This place is incredible. I am from Los Angeles and I would be back to Olympia just to get a massage from Dawnovin.

This was my first ever massage. I got it for a Christmas gift and was saving it after a long week at work. I had Tracy and she made me feel so comfortable. Explained to me the whole process and was very easy to talk to. After the massage when I stood up I almost fell down because I was so relaxed. I already booked another appointment. 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone.

10/10 Best massage in the Olympia area! Dawnovin gives the BEST pregnancy massages ever! Love the atmosphere, the building is super cute and set up amazing with an inviting fireplace in the lobby and a gorgeous back yard full of birds and squirrels to watch while you wait! The massage rooms look out into the trees and are quiet and relaxing. Absolutely will be a repeat customer until Dr says no more until after baby comes!

Calming, peaceful atmosphere. Best massage I've ever had. Massuse was knowledgeable and made adjustments based on the areas of my discomfort. Much better than others places which just follow the set routine. Definitely will be back!

This massage place was truly surreal. Was it a relaxing serenity of tranquility? Call it heaven. Did poof tailed squirrels cross my path on the way to my massage room? I feel oddly like Sleeping Beauty. Were there adorable fluffy deer with twin fawns like in the yelp pictures? I was pretty sure they were photoshopped, but apparently not. My massage therapist Naomi was incredible.

I wish I could say that I fell asleep during the massage but actually I left more sore than when I came in. which. was. perfect! I didn't even tell her what my profession was and she was able to tell the areas that cause me discomfort throughout the week. She targeted the areas of concern and intensely concentrated on them. I loved that she offered essential oils and there was no additional charge for them.

The hot stone addition was relaxing and made me feel like a pat of butter on freshly made toast. The setting was exquisite, the massage expertise unbeatable, and the price incredibly competitive and worth every dime. Pretty sure I'll be braving the traffic to return to Oly just for these massages.

I scheduled a massage using their online program 5 hours before my appointment time. When I showed up the only workers were giving others massages. Found out later they didn't check for updates. I ended up getting a free massage. But after the massage I scheduled another appointment and showed up but the door was locked. Their communication and scheduling procedures need updating! I have wasted several hours on this company waiting and driving for no reason. I don't recommend them!

The setting of this establishment resembles a cottage nestled in the woods. When entering I immediately settled into the cozy atmosphere. There were nodes of essential oils & I was greeted promptly by my masseuse. I scheduled an appointment online earlier that day. Set up my own time and selected a therapist based on their profile. When left to change I was pleasantly surprised by the view from the room.

There were birds and a squirrel perched on a bird bath. Enveloped in the protection of lush trees and bushes. The massage was firm and preformed gracefully. Sarah was a goddess! She felt out my tension and knots and tended to them. (I am sore.) But, it's a relief I know she manipulated the knots to the surface. I was appreciative of the hot towels and heated blanket to soothe the loosened muscles.

Throughout the session soft music filled the room. The only complaint I have is that the window let it a significant amount of sunlight. The brightness wasn't ensuring the element of relaxation that I prefer. Overall, I'd encourage others to go!

I had a prenatal massage here with Naomi and will be making this my monthly mommy treat. Naomi was kind and professional and took care to ensure that I was comfortable throughout- not an easy feat at 25 weeks pregnant! I received my massage in one of the back cabins which made it feel even more private! The massage was mostly laying on my side but involved some sitting on this really neat table that adjusted to support me being upright but still relaxed.

The smell of the cabin was lovely and she used a cocoa butter based lotion/oil to massage so I felt ultra moisturized and kinda chocolatey! This was a great experience and I can't wait to come back!

This place was amaziingg. I can't even begin to describe how relaxed I felt. It was euphoric and so relieving. Not just the massage but the atmosphere although the massage was perfect. I am not surprised at the amazing reviews

The Massage Place is hidden on a little street and is the front end of a wildlife sanctuary. I saw Dawnovin for three focused massage sessions for a recurring lower back issue. What a terrific experience. He actually listened and paid attention to what I said. I've seen lots of other therapists to no avail Clearly, I will return and see him when other issues occurred.

Ahhh the definition of relaxation! The atmosphere is so inviting and homey. And the massage was heavenly! I actually dozed off I was so relaxed! The little animal sanctuary out back was such a treat! Can't wait to go back!

The massage was both amazing and affordable. $70 for 60 minutes. Most places seem to charge $90+ these days. The service was great, too. I'll definitely be back! :

I have been coming to The Massage Place for years to help with pain from a variety of medical disorders including fibromyalgia. I have seen several of the M.T.'s here and I have yet to be disappointed in the quality of massage I have received. The therapists are very accommodating and friendly, and work hard to be tuned into the needs of your body.

The natural setting is a beautiful and calming urban oasis of trees, bushes, squirrels, birds, bunnies. It sets a relaxing and healing mood before the massage even starts. Can't recommend them enough. I have been to several other places in Oly and been disappointed, but always find relief here.

This place is an absolute gem and I was so happy I found it on Yelp. Being seven months pregnant, and completely uncomfortable, I splurged on a pregnancy massage from Naomi. She was super friendly and accommodating and I felt very comfortable with her style. She knew exactly how to position me for safety and I seriously wanted to hug her when she worked out the kinks in my calves without me pointing anything out.

She rocks. The back area of the place is like a small animal sanctuary. My massage was in one of the back cottages and it felt so serene and relaxing just walking out there and being greeted by all these fat little squirrels, rabbits and even a deer. It was pretty amazing. I am very happy with my experience, and Naomi, and would definitely recommend her for more than just pregnancy massage.

Easy to schedule, a relaxing office, nice people. You get the convenience of a corporate massage business, but with the quality and personal attention of an individual practice. I usually see Dawnovin - I was about to see an Orthopedist about my shoulder, until he fixed it.

I was looking to improve my well-being when I found The Massage Place. The cooperative business model impressed me, so I booked an appointment. I'm a happy repeat customer now, and giving their massage gift certificates for the holidays too. The Massage Place is definitely a part of my regimen now. I'm healthier for going there.

Cara was great. The atmosphere was relaxing and calm. Would definitely be back and recommend. I went for a neck stiffness and was even given at home recommendations to help. I will be back.

Can't say enough about this totally amazing place that feels cozy, charming and quaint from the moment you drive up. Patty Griffin music greeted me as I walked into the little cabin lobby. Naomi then led me out to a guest Cottage for my massage and deer and bunnies greeted me along the way. I proceeded to experience one of the best massages of my life!

There were scrubs and socks and mentho like creams.and this funky neck loosening movement. Plus she really got to those pressure points on my neck.it was simply blissful! Booked another appointment.

Thank you Ingrid! I came and saw Ingrid for the first time today, and without a doubt, she was the best I've ever had! The experience was amazing and she went above and beyond! She knew just right where I was hurting and was able to release all the negative tension I had. At one point, I thought I was floating on air, I was so relaxed! I will be coming back and Ingrid has my definite recommendation!

I am not a massage expert. In fact, I have only had about a half dozen or so in my entire 40 years on this planet. I had a very stressful quarter at school, though, and I found myself looking for ways to recover - and I found this place. Previously, I had massages that left me feeling a little too sore the next day, like they did more harm than good.

My experience at the Massage Place was nothing like that. It was exceptionally restorative, and it more than fulfilled my hopes to de-stress. I booked a massage with Ingrid and it was beyond a doubt the best massage I ever had. She is truly skilled in her work. It's already been a few months since I was there, so I can't remember anything detailed, only that I felt so wonderful after the massage, and that feeling persisted for days. The setting, as everyone mentions, is very charming. I am hoping to go back this winter to see the fireplace in action. It's a very welcoming space.

This place is gorgeous and relaxing - and that's even before you get on the massage table. I've had a lovely relaxing massage from Lynn and a deep tissue massage from Rebecca. Both were excellent and I got exactly what I wanted. Not only are they skilled, but they listened to me and took me seriously. I asked for deep pressure and hoowee, I got it! Also, the prices here may be the best in town. Totally worth it.
