Darrah is amazing courteous professional and absolutely amazing masseuse. Every time I come in she asks if there's anything new that she needs to know about does exactly what is needed and more. I have experienced a lot of massage practitioners and spas over the years and find Mezzaluna to be top notch. The environment, vibe and staff are wonderful. Massages I have received from Darrah are nothing short of extraordinary.

I've been coming here for 17 years. Amazing quality massages. They are not bound by corporate requirements- so they will use hot rocks, aromatherapy, etc, as the masseuse judges necessary based on your body. South west decor really takes you away. Clean and professional.

My teenager had been struggling with her skin but after 1 facial with Sarah S at Mezzaluna in Westwood, she is positively glowing. It's been a week and she still looks and feels great. It boosted her confidence, which might be the best part. I like that she was given tips and strategies for dealing with her problematic skin. Sarah was fantastic and my daughter left feeing relaxed and happy. Mezzaluna was wonderful from the ease of setting the appointment to checking in/out.

They answered all my questions, and their charming space is clean, peaceful, and smells amazing. They honored the amount paid for my pre-pandemic gift card, too. Can't wait to go back for myself!

Love love love Mezzaluna Day Spa! Super clean, warm, zen atmosphere from the minute you walk in. Darrah is the BEST! I walk in feeling like a twisted pretzel and after my mass at with her, I walk out feeling relaxed and at peace. Support small businesses! PS they offer a bunch of different therapeutic and healing products for purchase too.

I can't get over how amazing this spa is. I absolutely love dawn-she knows exactly what your body needs without you saying a single word. It's exceptionally clean and I can't wait for my next massage. I feel like a million bucks every time I walk out of here. 10/26 Update: I put my pants on backwards after today's massage. Extememly dissapointed! I was very excited about my appointment since I don't have much time for myself lately. Booked myself for an hour massage appointment, I get in the room and lay on the table, its smells like musty mildew with the blankets. Hot stones were used and then placed right back where they were grabbed from. Not very sanitary in my opinion.

There was a clock in the room and I recall exactly what time we started and I was shorted of my time. 10 minutes to be exact! I went home smelling like a foul smell of mildew. So disgusted that I rushed home to jump In the shower and bathed in antibacterial soap. Never again! Over a 100 dollars wasted and felt disgusting after!

A refreshing spot for relaxation and rejuvenation amidst the hustle and bustle of Bergen County! Truly my favorite place for a massage in the area! The staff are friendly and professional and the atmosphere is so peaceful. Every attention to detail is made from the wall hangings to the rooms. You feel like you have escaped to the southwest as soon as you set foot in the door. If you go for a massage don't miss the steam shower before! It's my favorite part. Will definitely continue to return here.

I believe I was the last appointment of the evening and when my massage was over, I was completely disappointed. When I left the room, the only person I could find was the receptionist sitting at the front desk. She mentioned that the masseuse had left! I found that my masseuse overly worked in some areas and missed others, such as my feet and lower back.

The natural flow of the message wasn't there, no centering, a rushed feeling, moments that she was either tired (loud yawning) or had challenges adding pressure. I reached out to the owner via email and left two voicemails with no response. Will not make the same mistake twice.

Always had great service and super massages here. Last time I was there I did not make an appointment ahead of time and just took what was available. What a let down.

I had a massage with Michelle for some muscle tightness that I have been experiencing. She was wonderful and have noticed a huge difference even several days later. I would highly recommend!

Oh how I wanted to love this place.so bad. It's so cute when you first walk in. The older woman in the front was very friendly! Anyway, I just finished a facial there and during the time you have a mask on someone is usually massaging your hands or your feet or using essential oils to relax you but she sat there texting on her phone instead when I looked up. when I was finished she patted me on the shoulder and said I'm done and to take my time getting dressed which was very nice, I then got dressed and walked out and my aesthetician wasn't there I walk to the front the girl asked me what's your name again. she wasn't my aesthetician either and still she was nowhere to be found.

I was waiting for her to come out and maybe suggest some things that I should use but still she never came out. Super unprofessional. Big waste of 90 dollars plus tipping her. Which I shouldn't even have done. But being in this industry I know we are paid pretty much through tips. Shame shame shame, you would have had an every month client.

I purchased a gift certificate for my best friend's birthday. Basing on the reviews and the lovely associate the helped me get everything in order, I was really confident in the purchase I made. The reviews on here is completely misleading. (They are over 3 years old). I completely regret gifting the certificate and was absolutely embarrassed. My best friend did not enjoy the massage.

She said her masseuse had a long pony tail and continued to smack her with it throughout the massage. It wasn't intentional but she wasn't conscience that her hair was smacking the client. The one hour massage was with "warm stones" and my friend said it was barely warm and it did not feel like a massage. My friend said "it felt as though she was just caressing my back".

There was nothing relaxing about her experience. I am not sure what happened to the service years ago but the service she got 02/14/17 was definitely not a good one. She thanked me for the gift but was honest and said it was terrible. Not only did I spend money, and was embarrassed but instead of my friend enjoying her time off from work for her birthday celebration she simply had her time wasted at a place the it is clear customer service is not top priority.

Been coming for years. Very quiet and clean place. They offer frequent customers with special that makes it a very affordable spa experience. The new masseur Liz is the best I ever had from here. Her technique and full efforts lasted for the entire hour. Worth every penny in my book. Already reserved a time with her for next month.

I have been going to Mezzaluna for years. Such a quaint and relaxing spa. You feel like you are away at an oasis when you step foot through the door. The ambience is like no other. Meghan is my skin care specialist and She is amazing! She really knows what she is doing, directs me how to maintain my skin. Any masseuse you choose will not be a bad choice.

They are incredible. The spa offers great pricing and packaging. They have the BEST chocolates on the front desk as a little treat on your way out. Highly recommend! Ask for meghan.

Mezzaluna Day Spa is the very BEST place to get a massage in Bergen County. I have a very physical job and know that when ever I book a massage here, it will always be of the highest quality and standard. The setting is so comfortable and charming and unlike any other spa out there. You will not ever be disappointed!

Have been coming here for over ten years. Small, cozy, relaxing place that beats the huge spa "factories" any day. Quality service and experienced staff. Reasonably priced with good specials.

I always come to Mezzaluna for my massages. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I never had any issues here so perhaps some reviewers on here are just impossible to please. Also, regarding the decor.if you can't seem to "find the connection", then you're looking too deep into it. It's Native American themed. There is no deep connection, it's how they chose to decorate.

If you have ever been to Arizona, you would understand that the whole Native American culture gives off a very spiritual and peaceful vibe. That is why they decorated it this way. It is dimly lit so that you can close your eyes and nod off peacefully. So unless you like bright lights and a sterile setting, give this place a shot and enjoy!

I've been here on 3 different occasions and have gotten a great massage every time and always with friendly service! I would highly recommend this place! It is a little hidden but I've never had a problem getting parking. This spa always has tremendous deals. If you go you will not be disappointed! I will definitely continue to go to Mezzaluna!

I normally go somewhere else but got a really good groupon for a facial. The things this spa doesn't have that others do is a locker room, drinks and snacks and the girl at the desk took a personal call right in front of me and 2 others. My facial was pretty bad! I was getting so much anxiety bc the girl was rushing and going so fast that I couldn't possibly relax.

She didn't even suggest different things for my sensitive skin so not sure what was used. The massage part was just as horrible and rushed and a lot of ear tugging!?!? I was left alone for 5 minutes and felt a very creepy vibe and just wanted to get out! Overall the facial was not relaxing and have me a lot of anxiety. I will never go back. Definitely spend the money and go to a better place.

Meh is my reaction, the woman cleared out like 3 of the 60 clogged pores on my face, and her upper massage/relaxation technique was tugging on my earlobes over and OVER and over again. She seemed distracted and like she was rushing through the facial/getting it over with. Would not pay full price if i were to go again Since it is close to my house, I will maybe try for a massage someday, maybe they are good at that

Went here for a facial before my wedding with a living social deal. They gave me a lower leg and foot massage gratis. The massage was very good, otherwise this would be a 1 star review. The decor is sort of Native American inspired, but with a liberal dose of country cottage thrown in--I didn't like it, but I wasn't there for the decor. The massage was good, not a deep tissue massage, but I didnt want that.

It was just the right amount of pressure. While steaming for my facial the ambient music/relaxation noises were kinda the opposite, but even that was ok. The facial was ALMOST a 5 star. Afterwards, the majority of my pores never looked better, and my face litterally glowed for my wedding day. (The wedding was 2.5 weeks after the facial--fortunately, as it turns out). However, I had 3 small allergy bumps on my right cheek.

I didnt mention them, because they are hardly an uncommon skin condition, and I assumed the esthetician would know how to deal with them. I guess she assumed they were acne, cause she was really digging away at them with her nails--harder and harder! I eventually asked her to stop, but she continued for a bit, before I had to tell her to stop. Within 30 minutes of me leaving, my whole right cheek was horribly swollen, red and raw.

Over the course of the next few days, the swelling went down, but the skin was so stressed that it started to scale and flake, like a sunburn. I was petrified that it wouldn't heal before the wedding, but fortunately, I had left enough time so it did. Aside from that, the facial was great and very long-lasting. I would have gone back, but I am afraid of the esthetician's inexperience.

One final note: Mezzaluna is nearly impossible to find! There is no direct access from the street it is technically "on" (based on their street address), and you have to drive around on a side street and enter the back of a parking lot to get there.

Had a great massage in westwood. Always a treat to be pampered for An hour. Feel like a new man. Highly recommended

Went there for a massage. Waited over 30 minutes and then when I went in, the room was f r e e z i n g. The girl was also kind of annoying. She said that she would have to cut the appointment a bit short because her next was coming in - really? The music was way too loud and the girl kept texting when she was in the room with me. I would only go back if I got a gift certificate - not really a place I would voluntarily pay to go to again.

I went last week for a massage and facial. The services were part of a special $50 (for Each) offer through Spa Finder. The thing that bothers me is that the special was through this website but they wouldn't take the Spa Finder Gift Certificate I had. They said the GC wasn't accepted for any specials. That just doesn't make sense to me. The place is ok. Nothing too fancy but it is clean and the staff seemed nice. There was a lot of talking and noise during my massage which I didn't like.
