Services
My focus is the preservation and restoration of your health. I specialize in locating and correcting subluxations. A subluxation is a complex joint restriction, which can cause increased pressure on the nerves of your body. This may influence the health of your joints, muscles and organs. Subluxations are managed through chiropractic manipulation.
Chiropractic care has repeatedly been shown to be an effective form of treatment for back pain. Treatment with a chiropractor works because it treats the cause of the pain, in addition to the symptoms. Early intervention certainly important for effective treatment and full recovery. In addition, spinal manipulation helps patients who are failing to return to normal activities.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a problem of the median nerve. Subsequently the nerve gets entrapped in a small tunnel at the wrist. As a result, this causes pain, weakness and possibly numbness of the hand, wrist and forearm. The result is tingling, burning, itching, numbness and pain. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome causes a major impact on the workforce with disability resulting during episodes due to the severity of symptoms.
One of the most common complaints in our office is migraine and headache. There are many types of headaches with varying causes. The most common type is tension headache. Tension headaches often result from prolonged contraction of the suboccipital muscles. These muscles bridge the junction between the back of the skull and the bones of the neck.

I had a crick in my neck and Dr. Cady came to my rescue! He was able to adjust me promptly, and gave me exercises to continue after our visit. I felt more that I was leaving a physical therapy appointment when I was done versus other adjustments that I've had, where there's no offer for continuity of care. I appreciated his professionalism, knowledge, and gentle hands. I'm feeling 80% better today after only a single treatment!

By this chiropractor admissions, I was billed $75 and refunded $60? How can a business validate health coverage and then turnaround and bill a patient where there's no bill? I'm not upset over my health insurance coverage but, I was upset over this chiropractors services. This chiropractor had no business charging my insurance. I validated my coverage first and should have had a zero dollar bill. I had to go through the trouble of clearing the situation up when I discovered my insurance was being billed.

I received a referral to Dr. Scott Cady from an office of One Medical chiropractors I normally go to (in the past for ankle/shin injuries), since they're only doing remote work during the Shelter-In-Place order. The referrer said to me "You're in luck; he's both extremely good, *and* open right now." I'm so grateful he's open!
I was in a car accident a month ago, and a week into it my neck was hurting a great deal (painful to lie down, work, etc). So I got the referral and went to see him. I've been seeing him twice a week, and as the other positive reviews have detailed (so I won't elaborate as much I would otherwise), he does electrostimulation, ultrasound, massage, icing or heating as needed, manual adjustments, and advised me on stretches. He's very knowledgeable and informative and kind, and explained a lot to me (about how to avoid long-term pain, what's happening in my body that causes the pains I describe, etc).
Thanks to his work, I'm recovering well, and the awful permanent hunch that I'd developed after the accident is gone and my range of motion is coming back, even though my neck is still much more sensitive than before (as expected -- both the ER and my primary doctor told me to expect 8+ weeks to heal). His help has made a major difference in my recovery and return to health. I've been paying a $20 copay per visit (and he verified that my health insurance is covering the rest!), and have had none of the insurance issues that some people wrote they have. I'm really really glad I was able to get treatment for my neck from Dr. Cady.

I have been going to Dr. Cady on and off for about 10 years and can honestly say that I hope he never retires. He is extremely thorough in using various techniques including electrostimulation, ultrasound and manual adjustments as needed. Due to the Covid-19 situation, I have been working remotely and now have back problems due to poor ergonomics at home and so I have been seeing him twice a week for the last month.
He is doing everything possible to keep patients safe, including taking temperatures, decontaminating rooms between patients and wearing a mask. Dr. Cady has rescued me a number of times when I have tweaked something in my back and even in my arm (tennis elbow). I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Agree with other reviews he's terrible to work with on insurance. My insurance covered 100% for prenatal massages with a $10 copay and he had me sign something saying if for some reason insurance paid out less than $100 I would have to pay the difference. I assumed that could only occur if insurance for some reason covered less than 100% and I would pay the uncovered portion. Nope. First, insurance rejected my claim saying he was out of network.
Next I resubmitted each claim and after confirming he was in network they paid him $70. They also sent me a coverage report that showed 100% covered by insurance and I owed a $10 copay. I actually ended up paying $30 because even though insurance covered 100% it was less than $100 so I had to pay the difference. I complained to my insurance and they went to investigate.
They came back and said he's not actually in network for prenatal massages, he's just submitting claims on behalf of the message therapist who is out of network. They weren't sure if that was allowed and went off researching some more before eventually determining he could charge me more than the $10 copay because I signed an agreement.
Then they gave me a list of chiropractors who would honestly in network cover 100% of prenatal massages with a $10 copay but by then I had already given birth. This whole thing took me like 6 months of back and forth with Dr. Cady and my insurance to figure out and honestly my insurance was easier to work with than this guy.

Dr Cady has provided to us a spine treatment and told that it is basic procedure which is covered by insurance. He is in network with our insurance, so I didnt expected any troubles. Insurance has replied that his treatment is experimental and declined bill. Doctor doesn't mind to his words and just forces us to pay a full price of treatment out of pocket.
He says that it is for the first time in his life when insurance doesn't cover his work, but now I've check all reviews on google and yelp and he have had a lof of complains regarding billigs. Hope my review will help someone not to loose money.

Dr. Cady and the rest of the staff at Back Care Specialists have made my chiropractic experience a painless one. I have been visiting their office for over 10 years. Dr. Cady is very personable and takes great care in addressing every tweak or pain I may be experiencing. He listens to my concerns and also provides great tips and advice to continue the healing process at home. Highly recommend to anyone in the Bay Area who may be seeking a chiropractor.

Dr. Cady is the best chiropractor I've ever had, and I've relied on him to help me lead a normal life, able to work and support myself. I've had several serious back and neck injuries over the years, and deal with painful conditions that sometimes knocks me flat on my back for days at a time, not able to work and make a living. I tried an acupuncture practitioner and two other chiropractors for two or three years with no real lasting improvement or relief.
The last chiropractor even heavily pushed a line of $80/bottle (vitamins/supplements) he sold out of his office - that nonsense didn't help me either. I found Dr. Cady about ten years ago, and he's been the only one to consistently give me quick relief and consistent improvement from my pain and condition. His treatments are thorough and tailored specifically each time.
Several times I've needed additional treatment procedures during a visit, and he always gladly did it without hesitation or questions asked. In addition, he coaches you on many practices and exercises to help keep you pain-free. Dr. Cady truly cares about you and your condition, and isn't one of those chiropractors that only does just enough to keep you coming back month after month.
The last time I needed to see him (after reinjuring myself), it had been 16 months since I last needed any treatment at all. That was the longest pain-free period I've ever experienced in about 25 years. Dr. Cady is always very professional, highly skilled, knowledgeable, kind and caring. I cannot speak more positively of his care, and I'm truly grateful I found him. Thank you, Dr. Cady!

Dr. Cady has been my chiropractor for about 7 years now. I sit long hours for work so I use chiropractic treatment for overall health and have used it for over 25 years. Dr. Cady is available on short notice and lunch hours which is so wonderful. He is always on time, treatments are based on his knowledge of you and any needs pointed out at visit.
He has helped me with 2 car accidents and is also very helpful for those of us who are not great at getting a lot of exercise. He adjusts my feet and knees so I can enjoy activities. His office is well appointed, staff is friendly, and he is always on time and accommodating for those with busy schedules. His treatments always leave me feeling great. He takes insurance which is great since mine covers chiropractic. Dr. Cady is a highly skilled chiropractor and I recommend him without reservation.

I had a very severe lower back injury about 5 years back and I found Dr Cady. It was a blessing. I want to himin so.much of discomfort. He took care of the issue and in few sessions I was able to walk properly and feel absolutely good. Since then my lower back has flared up few times and I have always gobe to him and in few sessions felt great again.
Once I remember I had changed my insurance to Kaiser and I wasnt sure if he takes Kaiser patients, so I went to another nearby chiropractor who took Kaiser insurance. He was good, hit i didnt get fully recovered from it until I again went to Dr Cady. I came to know that he also takes Kaiser. Since then I have been gping to him. I have recommended my family and friends and they have taken Dr Cady's services. He is very knowledgeable, has latest equipments and is very courteous. Thanks for being there Dr.

I have been a extremely satisfied patient for nearly 20 years. There has never been a time where I haven't been greeted warmly and been in an immaculate waiting and patients room. I have recommended Dr. Cady to my friends and co-workers. I wouldn't give him my "stamp of approval" if I didn't think he was the best.

I've had chronic neck and shoulder pain for as long as I can remember. I tried acupuncture and physical therapy and both didn't really work. Massages made me more sore since my muscles were already in such a tense state and couldn't really relax. As my last resort, I decided to go to Dr. Cady and he's been able to treat both my tense muscles and tight alignment. The combo treatment has helped me way more than anything else I've tried!

Cady is a scam artist and rips people off for living. After visiting this doctor one time with health insurance and deciding not to go back for unpleasant reasons during the visit I get a charge for $1,500 six months down to road sent to collections! After months and months talking to the credit bureau they had finally took it off my report. My co-pay was only $10.
This Dr. go's behind your back and will charge you crazy amounts to your name. My friend is going through the same situation with the same doctor. This is not a doctor it's a scammed institution to take your money. Don't go!

Had to catch a long haul flight and woke up with a terrible stiff neck. Looked for a chiropractor in the area and many were closed due to the holiday WE. I was able to find an appointment on the fly with Dr Cady who welcomed me very warmly, visited me and made a first treatment that reduced my pain at least a little to make me catch the flight. He also advices stretching exercises that helped a great deal during the flight. Professional, confident, my visit with Dr Cady was very positive experience. I will certainly return for any other neck or back problems.

I am young, healthy, and at the brink of my quarter-life-crisis but have unfortunately been blessed with a back of an 80-year-old due to multiple car and bike accidents. Dr. Cady's staff and services make up for it and I am forever grateful for the medical swedish massages I have received in the last 3 years. Andrea, the front desk manager is the sweetest assistant I know and takes her job very seriously.
She is consistent at calling me the day before an appointment and has never once screwed in scheduling. The clinic has gone through a high turnover of massagers who grumble about their lives and low hourly pay, but they are all sweet and well-screened. And Dr. Cady is a great chiropractor. He is my 4th in the last 3 years and the best I've had in two states so far. Minus one star for the skidmarks I've seen on the walls (lack of cleaning?) and the electric massage pallates Dr. Cady recycles over and over with clients.
