Would recommend it! I went to IGM for a Reflexology massage, given to me as a Birthday's gift by my daughter. The service and the young lady who assisted me were great, knowledgeable and professional. I recommended it. My massage therapist was very friendly, I felt relaxed and and top of the world after my session.

Ingrid is an incredible massage therapist and does wonders on the body. My facial, scrub and massage were A++. But if you are looking for a mani/pedi don't go here. That's just not her gift. I have the day of pampering and over it was nice. But it's been less than a week and my shellacs are chipping. Kind of a bummer because Ingrid is so nice I wanted the whole experience to be great but it was at least good.

This is the best Spa in the area. Already tried most of them. Recommneded. My girl and I attend there every two weeks and she does nails, wax, and hair. I do a massage and a hair cut. It is our escape. Love the energy of the place. She has some interesting hair colors. Lol. Sometimes it's blue. Some other times it is red. Etc.

First of all, I want to say that I gave it some time before writing this review to make sure that there are no emotions involved. Unfortunately, my experience was not worth the money I paid. Swedish massage was not done by Ingrid, but by some other person and it did not feel professional at all. The oil used on my skin smelled and felt like olive oil.
My manicure and pedicure were not done as good either. the nail polish even after the lady cleaned it up is still all over the skin around the nails. Also, I did not see the instruments being sterilized, so if you do go, it might be a good idea to bring your own set. However, I do recommend their reflexology massage. That was the only thing that felt good. Giving it a well deserved star. I hope this review will be helpful to the new clients and the owners.

Wonderful experience! Probably the best pedicure I've had in a long time. My deep tissue massage was just that! A REAL deep tissue; exactly how I like it. It's a cute, funky place with a very friendly staff. I'd like to try some of the other services they offer. The girl at the front desk gave me a pamphlet to look at, so I'll be back.

Dear Yelpers, I got a winter ice or ginger spice salt scrub with vichy shower from this place via groupon as a birthday treat. However, this location is in North Beach, it is unsanitary, has old/inferior facilities, and I am struggling to find something positive about my experience. When I booked my appointment over a month in advance, I was told I could be squeezed into the schedule. Today, as I was driving to the service, I hit traffic on 95 forty minutes prior to my appointment time, so I called.
I was told that tardiness was an issue as all the other client's appointments would be delayed (seemed reasonable). I arrived 2 minutes late. The only persons in the place was the massage therapist (possibly manager or owner whose license was visible) and another lady. No customers. Not one. This location has hair salon up front and stations for nail and pedicures.
No station was occupied. Generally when you are having any spa service, there is a discussion. For example I have Lupus and sensitive skin. I have a very visible butterfly rash on my face as evidence. Also, my purchase involved a choice - winter ice or ginger spice. I was instructed to change into disposable underwear by the massage therapist. The other lady came in to do the service - she spoke NO ENGLISH and there was no discussion.
I thought she wanted me to get on the massage table covered in blue CONSTRUCTION TARPAULIN (tarp). The massage therapist yelled from the salon section that I was to stand. The other lady (like 60 maybe) then roughly BRUSHED my skin with a bath brush - ow. Then I got on the tarp covered table and the lady started to apply a salt scrub that was neither winter ice nor ginger spice, sigh. and no english.
She then wrapped me in the tarp and wrapped the tarp in a scratchy blanket. By this time my skin was burning and I called out to the massage therapist to ask if it could be washed off. I was given a robe and some old cracked slippers to walk down the hall (visable from Collins Ave) to the vichy shower. A vichy shower is supposed to aim the heads at your chackras. Generally, you enter a warm room, you are drenched in water as warm as you like, a scrub is applied on the shower table, you are covered with heated towels, and then the vichy shower is turned on for 30 minutes giving u a water massage.
The water is still going as the towels are removed dissolving the salt as the therapist massages oil into you. That was NOT what happened here obviously. This makeshift vichy shower was in a corridor with a shower curtain dividing it from the rest of the space. The ambient air was COLD. The massage therapist turned on a shower wand and rinsed off the salt and then turned on the vichy shower where the heads were angled crookedly. DRIPS OF WARM WATER IN COLD ROOM STILL EQUAL COLD.
I was shivering. It was about 2 minutes. That was it. She then gave me an old bleach stained towel and tried to get me to put back on the salt scrub filled robe so I could walk back to the room that had the tarp covered massage table. I consented to wrapping myself with the robe over the towel but insisted that I would not put my arms back through as it would re-apply the salt scrub that had already burned my skin.
She sharply told me that is why I she gave me the towel! Huh? How can u wrap a single towel around your arms and body and then put on a robe? Returning to the other room it was now set up to give a massage. I noticed there were long black hairs on the linens. I was asked to dry off and lay face down. I picked off the hairs and suppressed my inner germaphobe.
The other lady came back to apply lotion. Then it was done. I dressed, took some pictures of the room because it was just soooooooo dingy, and walked out to the front desk where the massage therapist was once again sitting. She immediately acosted me for not telling her that I was allergic to her salt scrub. WTF?!? I asked her why I was not asked which option I wanted as clearly I had neither Ginger Spice nor Winter Ice as I had purchased.
She reaponded, you had lavender! Wait what? Okay, so how do I get the *#$!+ out of here? I need a shower. FYI. STILL NOT A SINGLE CUSTOMER OTHER THAN ME IN THE PLACE. go figure! Just gross place. See pictures. Avoid at all costs!

I was at IGM Day Spa earlier this month while traveling for business in Miami. I must say that Ingrid is absolutely fantastic, not only is she knowledgable about all things beauty, but she creates a fun environment for her customers and her staff. Their manicures are fantastic and I hear her facials and beauty treatments are even better. I will definitely be back when visiting Miami again and recommend her Spa to friends.

I got my eyebrows waxed here a few weeks ago. Overall not impressed or pleased. I won't be returning. She was nice, but not the friendly, warm, and inviting that you would want from the person you're entrusting your eyebrows to. When I walked in the treatment room there was no real instruction or conversation other than what I initiated.
So I laid down with hesitation. When she was finished, she didn't offer me a mirror to look at my eyebrows and just walked out of the room. Ok I guess we are done and I'll stop here in the mirror to check on how they look. There was a slight bald spot on one of them that will have to grow in/ I can fix with makeup. :/. Then, when I walked out of the treatment room to pay, in the time I took to look at my eyebrows- bc she didn't offer me a mirror- she had already struck up a conversation with someone else and I had to wait for them to finish their conversation before I could give her my payment. Further, here I am 2 weeks later and the way my eyebrows are growing back in is not typical. I'm very displeased and am eager for them to grown back more so that I can get them waxed by a more skilled brow waxer.

I paid 135 dollars for a one hour deep tissue massage which ended up being a combo of shiatsu, reflexology, a half ass approach to some deep tissue, and nagging that I should drink more water because my gallbladder "root" was in pain or some BS. Very upset, I shouldn't have even tipped, but oh well. I asked the lady what neuro muscular massage was and she said, "well, it's neuro muscular massage." Ok. Needless to say, I'm never returning there again. They're just as bad as lulu's, but at least lulu's is cheaper.

This Spa is AMAZING! The staff are friendly and very helpful making you feel at home. The massages are great and the sauna is relaxing i also got my hair done which came out pretty good and im very picky and hard to please when it comes to my hair lol. If your looking for a spa that is not only efficient at what they do but also easy on the wallet. then i would suggest giving this place a try!
