After treating chronic pain for over 20 years there have been great strides forward in new concepts to better treat chronic pain than just massage. Massage feels great but the real issue is that the brain guards and tightens areas of the body where the brain senses pain. Temporarily desensitizing muscle pain with gentle vibration while performing small movements allows the brain to perceive range of motion that usually causes pain as safe. Each session begins with client fully clothed on the massage table to test which muscles are guarded and need the focus of treatment.
