New Mexico School Of Natural The New Mexico School of Therapeutic Massage was founded in 1974 by C. David Tinkle. David retired in 1976 and turned the school over to Charles Brown and Robert Stevens. To better support the direction the school was headed the name was changed to The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in 1978. The curriculum was expanded to support the unfolding of the co-directors interest in bodywork, the philosophy of acute healing and assorted natural healing modalities. NSMNT applied for and was granted federal non-profit status in 1980.

LA Times- "Massage therapists hug everybody, if the person allows it, "says Charles Brown, co-director of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. Weekly Alibi- We teach our students from the first day that having their hearts open to the people they touch is of primary importance. It is easily demonstrated that touching someone while being openhearted toward them strengthens both people.
After graduating from the school of natural therapeutics, I got a great job at a spa doing massage and spa treatments. I learned how to listen to my intuition and really focus on the client, as well as focusing my own intention. Since we learned so many different modalities, I am able to really provide the client with whatever treatment they need.
IN ORDER TO HEAL WITH NATURE it is essential to have a philosophical understanding of how her healing process works. Robert Stevens 1950-present: "Like Repels Like through the acute healing mechanism (acute crisis or acute healing opportunity)." The law of nature determines how healing takes place.
OUR KITCHEN MEDICINE section is designed to increase our awareness of the healing power of food, including herbs. Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.

I had an OK massage when I was there, I believe last year. I was hoping to go back soon. Does not appear that they are also open. massage schools are closing one by one. It's going to be very expensive getting massages in the future.

The school, staff, students all have beautiful energy. I went for a tour of of school and felt so grateful to be there the whole time. Wonderful location in nob Hill, with nearby co-ops, local health eateries and herbal shops. The student massage I got was the best massage I've ever had! Perfect blend of massage and energy work. Cannot wait to be more a part of this community! Thank you to all involved.

I am so grateful for this place. Training amazing therapists from what I have experienced. And it is so amazing to be able to afford massage. Thank you NMSNT! I'd highly recommend this place. Its clean, people are friendly, therapists are good (I have seen two, one student and one graduate)

Great massages for a killer price! 1 hour massage with a student and 20% tip is less than $50! The ambiance is nice and location within Nob Hill is a plus. My only complaint is that I didn't schedule myself for a longer massage! My therapist was Abigail and she did a phenomenal job addressing my areas of concerns. Highly recommend this local establishment.

I was going to purchase two massage vouchers from Nirvana but I called them before purchasing to see when messages could be scheduled. The first available for groupon massage was October! This is my second try with Groupon massages which is why I called first before purchasing. I purchased two Groupon massages two days ago with another massage facility and when I tried to schedule I was told they had nothing available until October. Really?

A little nervous going to a place I haven't been to before. But the experience from the time I walked in to the time I left was incredible. Walked in and was greeted by a very friendly girl, she checked me in then showed me where the health remedy store was, gave me my paperwork showed me where the water and the restrooms were. Let me know my therapist would be right with me and not to hesitate if I had any questions.

My therapist came out (Gabrielle Aragon) with the biggest and most welcoming smile ever. She took me to the back went over my chart with me and asked me if I wanted her to focuse on one area or full body. I went with the full body. OMG I walked out feeling so good. Best massage I think I have ever had. She then left the room while I got ready to leave and came back with water for me and talked to me about my areas she felt were very tensed. I can't wait to go back next month. Thank you so much Gabrielle. One happy customer

I have been getting therapeutic massage at NMSNT since 1993. My experience has always been pleasant, relaxing, and a true break from every day stress. The students are amazing, and the energy of the school and clinic has always been uplifting for me as well as my husband. I will continue to tell everyone about you. Thank you, NMSNT. You are part of what makes Albuquerque NM a wonderful place to be!

Wonderful people and great school. I have been here many times for a student massage and love it every time. They also teach great classes to the public such as radionics.

I loved the healing I was able to help myself achieve through this program. It's truly a chance in a lifetime IF you do it right. It's important to remember that this, like any education, is entirely up to you what you get out of it. If you're open to trying things you've never done, you might be surprised how well they work. However, if you're constantly a cynical skeptic, you will likely be shut off from the healing energy that engulfs this school.

It's a lot to take in and classes can be challenging while you're interacting with your classmates and others going through emotional crisis. The program is a place to challenge yourself and be challenged by others, especially in the clinic. I do wish the clinic had more pathology and clinical lab type work, but any questions you have are honestly answered by all of the amazing staff and instructors. Best eight grand I ever spent.
