I began my interest in therapeutic massage by being a client at 19. As I received massage therapy, I began to see the tremendous benefits of it in my life. Before too long I became curious about the next step - what would it be like to practice therapeutic massage? And how could I get the best training possible to be the best practitoner available to serve others.These questions continue to be top of my mind, and I continue to seek new educational and training experiences, as I have in my career of almost 23 years.
I have been blessed to be trained by many masterful teachers, including Dean Juhan, Thomas Meyers, Jeanne Aland, Dr. Rosita Arvigo, Thea Elijah, and Carole Osborne-Sheets.
I have been through apprenticeships as well as traditional educational programs, including the Professional Massage Certification at The Atlanta School of Massage. And I learn something from every client I work with, and every session I do. I'm grateful each morning that this work is my Life's Path, and that I can be of humble service.

Karla gave me two massages when I was 8 and 9 months pregnant, respectively. Those two massages were lifesavers at that point! Karla is extremely professional and has a very calm and soothing presence. During one massage, she told me about her training (I asked) and it was extensive. This is a woman who has continually sought out opportunities to learn new massage methods and techniques. She has a real talent to relating to your body and and its aches - and then soothing them all. I highly recommend her as a masseuse.

How do I love thee Karla...let me count the ways... Where to begin?! About 2 years ago, I thought I was beyond hope with my neck/back/TMJ/stress/migraine issues until Karla worked her magic on me! I have been visitng with her regularly ever since. Talk about a skilled healer and a super personality (with exceptional taste as well:)). Look no further, Karla will ease your pain!

I have been seeing Karla for a while, after being not very happy with the previous one. She has great hands, and really helps me feeling refreshed. She is very responsive to the request of schedule change, and I have nothing to complain about her. I feel she loves her job and she cares about my health. I would strongly recommend her to anyone that wants massage with good quality.

I went to Karla after a car accident to address my physical pain. She did an AMAZING job. She evaluated me before and during every appointment, took progress notes, explained what was happening with my body, and worked with me during my ups and downs. I felt very comfortable, because she is a very caring and calming person. She is also very educated and knows what she is doing for both medical and non-medical massages.
She also gave great tips for after the massage, so that the effects of the treatments lasted for days longer than they would have otherwise. She was always available by phone or email and was willing to adjust appointment times when I had a last minute issue at work... VERY rare in my experience. I recommend Karla to everyone who is in search of a massage for any reason.

I have received massage from Karla pretty regularly for the past 2 years, and have been extremely pleased with my experience with her. She not only creates a beautiful, safe, and relaxing environment, but transmits wonderfully healing energy through her treatments! I love Karla, and will continue to seek out her services! I have been to several massage therapists in the past. Some have helped me some have not. Karla brings a whole new experience to me. She not only is professional but she has helped me more than anyone in the past has ever been able to. She is always offering new suggestions to help relieve pain in ways I would never think of. She then has the products available to allow those suggestions be put into place without having to go elsewhere.

I have referred friends to her and they have also been very happy with her services. My husband, who is a tough one to please with massage spoke highly about his experience with Karla. Wonderful Person! I can attest, at least for me, I was at ease just a few moments after Karla opened the door to her office. If you have spent large amounts of time trying to find healthcare providers you know how frustrating it can be when you don't click with someone right away. She is a wonderful massage therapist, and a very nice person to have in your life.
I truly appreciate how much Karla cares about her clients and the energy she puts into every appointment. Great communication, both in the office and outside (with reminder/follow-up emails), make me feel like I am getting 110%. Good location, good parking, quality facility.

Karla asked me to call and let her know how I felt after the first massage last night. I have the most uncanny feeling of being "connected" somehow, like all my body parts are working together as a whole. I can move more freely without that scared feeling of something pulling or being yanked out of place. Weird and wonderful. The central problem of my left hip and leg is still present but feels a small bit relieved.
I am very pleased with the treatment and loved meeting Karla. What a wonderful, warm woman. I would like to begin seeing her a couple times a week to see if these treatments can heal the hip problem.

Extraordinary Healer! A accident and resulting spinal injury led me to Karla. Having only had one other massage in my life, I really didn't know what to expect but was willing to try anything to help relieve my extreme pain and stiffness. I began to see Karla after being involved in a rear-end collision. From the very beginning she was professional, friendly and compassionate. She was able to find where I was having pain without telling her and after a few weeks of treatment I was good as new. Since the accident I have been told numerous accounts of people being involved in similar situations who suffered with back and neck pain for months or even years afterward.
Thanks to Karla, I am not one of those people. Not having to deal with the burden of paying out of pocket and chasing after the car insurance company for reimbursement was also a huge help. I would most definitely go back for any future massage needs and recommend her to my family and friends. Thanks Karla, for a wonderful healing experience.

My experience with Karla was excellent. Karla made me feel comfortable getting a massage. Walking into her office you see many certifications on the wall that make you feel like you are in the right spot for great treatment. Now that treatment is over, I will go to and refer Karla to anybody who is in need of a great massage.

Karla is very professional. I chose to go to her out of anyone in Albuquerque based on our initial phone conversation. She was so informative and explained what she uses in her massages. We were in a car accident and she has worked with us and supported us through the entire process. She is very easy to talk to and the massage atmosphere is very relaxing and soothing. I would recommend her to anyone. She has tons of experience and really knows how to make a body feel good.

I was very sad when Karla told me she was moving to NM. I would highly recommend her to anyone (and have!) She helped me out with a pre-op massage just before I had major surgery and I feel it not only helped me deal with the anxiety of my impending operation, but made healing a little more comfortable by helping me relax my muscles enough to handle the long recovery post-op. She is a lovely person and a great healer.

Seeing Karla for regular massage for the last six weeks has relieved pain related to an accident that I've been carrying for many months. Karla is present to my needs and relates in a professional manner while providing the best of care. She is sensitive to both physical and psychological needs in the treatment.

I have suffered from chronic, debilitating migraines for the last 8 years. Sometimes the migraines get so bad I can't do anything but lie in a dark, quiet room waiting trying to ride out the pain. When I first met Karla I was impressed by the knowledge she had not just in general about massage but specifically how to treat migraines like mine. When I had my first massage from her I had migraines for 2 WEEKS and none of the pain killers I had taken had given me any pain relief (including a trip to urgent care for injections of pain killers).
The morning after my first massage with Karla I woke up totally pain free! I couldn't believe it! I braced myself for the fact that this may have been a one time (very lucky!) thing, but over the last year and a half I've been getting massages from Karla she has consistently provided me pain relief from migraines when nothing else will. I feel so lucky to have "found" her!!
While very experienced and professional she is also a wonderfully warm, friendly, and caring woman who makes each massage an incredibly healing and relaxing experience. I highly recommend her!

"Wow! Holy Smokes! Karla is probably the best massage therapist I have ever been to, so thanks again, and you should definately come out, if for no other reason than to get your body some serious massage love! :) We have several massage schools here, so you would think that there would be all kinds of great therapists, but there's not...there are lots of crappy ones however. Karla does great deep tissue, she is very centered/grounded/present, and comfortable sharing your space. It really has been a long time since I've gotten work from such a well rounded therapist; she is definately worth the flight :) "
