Super convenient location in the West Village with lots of parking. I adore Ana, who cuts my hair. She is friendly, efficient, and always does a great job. The rest of the staff is always warm and helpful as well! It's easy to book with them online or by phone.

Meghan and Lillian did an amazing job with my color and cut that I wanted. (Not to mention the, hands down, most comfortable hair washing bowl chairs I have ever sat it. They're immaculate). Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Will be back!

I got a haircut here for the first time and was very pleased. Hair stylist did a great job and the cut was reasonable priced. Atmosphere is nice and friendly as well. Will be back for my next haircut!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Avalon Salon, especially Cassie! I have been coloring my own hair at home for nearly 20 years, with the occasional trip to a salon that I always regretted. Having had several fairly traumatic experiences with salon coloring, I was about to give up when someone told me that Aveda salons are the best. After doing a little research, I decided to take one last chance and schedule a consultation at Avalon.

I called and said I had something kind of crazy and bright in mind, so they recommended Cassie and I am so glad! She took her time to explain every step of the process and why she was doing it (not sure if this is standard practice or because I explained my past negative experiences elsewhere, but it was much appreciated!). It took nearly five hours to turn the mess Ulta created into a picture I found online, and it was seriously painless. Cassie (and all the other stylists!) were friendly and relaxing to be around.

While not cheap by any means, I found their pricing incredibly reasonable for what I wanted (and a rare bonus: not over the estimate quoted during my consultation!) Only negatives I can think of are the small, cramped quarters (although their Covid precautions were on point), lack of space to hang a purse without putting it on the floor, and fact that they don't give you an itemized receipt. None of these were enough to drop even a star.

I recently got my haircut by Jennifer and I loved how she paid attention to detail. Super nice, great customer service and will definitely be coming back to her for my haircuts. I also got my hair coloring by Brittney and she made sure I was satisfied with my balayage. GREAT customer service super nice and friendly will definitely be coming back to her! Overall I loved my experience at Avalon, very professional and customer service was excellent!

I love this place. Everyone is amazing, but I have to give a big shoutout to Claire. I've gotten my color from her for awhile now and she is a color genius. I like to be blonde but I want it to look sun kissed an natural and she is hands down the BEST! I always look forward to seeing her because she is so fun and easy to talk to and my hair always looks so good. Also, I have longer hair and Jen cut my hair for the first time today and I've never had a better cut. I can be very picky and she nailed it! They both listen to what I want and always deliver perfect results. Love you guys! Thank you so so much.

The only issue I previously had with this place was that they charge for a cut and style but the stylist sent me home with wet/unstyled hair a few times after she cut it. Not a huge deal, I was still happy with the cut. This past experience however has been so awful that I felt compelled to write a review which I never do. So first, I called to make an appointment and a woman named Erica who answered the phone was incredibly rude for no reason.

She was sarcastic, cut me off multiple times, and was demeaning when all I was trying to do was make an appointment. I then came in for a cut with a master level stylist who did a terrible job. It looked like I tried to cut it myself. It was uneven all throughout, the layers on one side of my head do not match the layers on the other side. I tried to just get used to it but multiple people at my job commented on how bad it looked so I came in a second time to have it fixed by a different stylist, and it is still very uneven. The layers look hideous, I am now having to pay for a completely new haircut somewhere else and hope that they can fix what's been done. Stay away!

I walked in about 1 hour before they closed. Place was busy and the music was on point. I tried the house frozen margarita and it was outstanding! It tasted like key lime pie in a glass and I was hooked. Definitely going back for another round. I suggest you do the same.
