Here is a perfect example of a school in total mismanagement. My husband was a student here and it was a living nightmare. The "teacher" repeatedly would bring his classmates to tears, tried to peddle his snake oil, and best of all, required he and his classmates to find their own clients for practice required to pass the program. Definitely avoid this place.

Critical: Communication Showed up for my 11 am massage and found out that I did not confirm by appointment when "Linda" called. How ever no calls came from the Linda. So the receptionist told me she will call me later that day to come back for my massage. That was Thursday September 16 and still Monday 20 no phone call. One star is generous.

My experience so far at the Phoenix School of Massage surpasses anything that I ever expected. From the holistic family environment, to the breadth and depth of industry knowledge received, to the advanced preparation that the school provides for state exams; The Phoenix School of Massage goes above and beyond getting students ready for a successful massage therapy career.

I transferred into Phoenix from another massage school. I had a wonderful experience and education. The teaching staff is fantastic and truly want students to succeed. The focus on holistic care is what sets this program apart. We learned so much more than a formulaic Swedish routine, we learned to be thoughtful, evidence based, intuition led practitioners.

So I just filed a complaint against the school w the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. My complaint is due to my not receiving my certificate due to the schools apparent misplacement of approximately 20 hours of makeup work. The schooling was payed in full by the state of Texas through a Rehabilitative Services program. Now, due to their loosing my makeup work, the school has implied I will have to re-enroll at a cost of 500 to me and pay per hour to go the approximate 20 hours of makeup work a cost I estimated to total 800 for me.
I refuse to give this school one single penny. When I attended Mrs Virginia was an instructor and she and Gloria are who I completed my makeup work with.the instructors were great. But stuff like the above is something you should be mindful of when considering this school.

I attended this school many years ago and I'm thankful everyday for choosing them! They equipped me with the best techniques and knowledge that I still look back on today. William Berry and all of the other teachers are extremely talented massage therapist and educators, and the staff is always full of love and willing to help. If you're thinking about attending, don't hesitate to sign up today and reap the benefits these amazing people have to offer! You'll be thankful you did!

This is one of the best massage schools in Houston. I graduated from this school some years ago. I recently went back there to see how they are doing and buy some massage lotion. I saw my former teacher, William, he along with Dr Z and Gail taught us so many wonderful healing modalities. Phoenix school of massage has a great student massage clinic as well as an Open House where prospective students can tour the campus, ask questions and get class schedules.
They also help connect new graduates with potential local employers in the Houston area. The Phoenix School of Massage and Holistic Health is highly recommended to anyone who is looking to go to a school where they are truly serious about teaching you real anatomy, physiology and effective massage.

My experience from Phoenix school of Massage was excellent. Ms. Nikki and Ms. Gloria were my weekend class teachers. They both not only know and understand the field of massage therapy but they both can, more importantly, communicate this knowledge clearly to their students. Part of the proof of this is the successful passing the MBLEX exam before graduation.plus the success their students achieve in the field of massage therapy. The owner, teachers and staff. Everyone in the school is helpful. When you need help, they will be there for you!
