Texas Healing Arts Institute (THAI) was established in 1997 by Dr. Kirsten Kern, PhD and Dr. Eri Weinstein, PhD to provide instruction in the art and science of massage and bodywork. THAI offers hands-on in the classroom and online continuing education classes. Dr. Kern provides massage and bodywork classes in Clinical Massage and in Abdominal Therapy and is a founding director of the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc.

Dr. Kern is an interminable student and educator. She has taught at T he University of Texas at Austin, Texas, Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. During college, Dr. Kern studied biological sciences and worked with marine mammals in Newfoundland and Alaska.
Abdominal Massage Therapy combines modern science with traditional healing and wisdom to produce a holistic path to physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Dr. Rosita Arvigo, DN, has lived and practiced in Central America for over 30 years. She developed these techniques after apprenticing with Don Elijio Panti, one of the last of the Traditional Maya Shaman in Central America.
