IMMERSE Modern Massage

Yesterday after work I went to get a 30 minute massage with Mason Palmer at Immerse Modern Massage. We had an initial conversation about how I've been experiencing life lately. As he was massaging my neck, shoulders and collarbone I felt a wave of grief come over me. The past eight weeks I've been drawing blood, getting images, adjustments, physical therapy.

The pain has been overwhelming. Consistent. Isolating. And I've been holding it in this whole time. For my body to be held with care, in a gentle way, felt like a breath of fresh air. I found myself resisting and it felt nice to let my guard down and receive. My life at the moment looks like doctors appointments three times a week. Still awaiting blood work and aligning with a specialist.

I recognize holding this in has created conflict in other areas of my life. I want to continue to feel relaxation in my mind body heart spirit. I want to feel vibrant and nourished. Wellness. Thank you for honoring my grief so lovingly. What a gift this was.

Masons intuition with my neck and shoulder issues immediately started unlocking some of my most painful points. The ambience was so warm and welcoming. The warming crystalline mat and weighted blanket were pure bliss. I enjoyed the time and attention he spent post massage to give me some at home exercises and encouragement to continue to heal my upper body. Highly recommend!

Beautiful office and Mason was able to release a tension in my shoulders that has not been released in years. Gentle, attentive, and very skilled with forearm/elbow deep tissue techniques.

Entering the space I immediately felt calm, the lighting and ambiance was perfect for relaxing. The warmth, low light and wooden ceiling made me feel like I was in a sauna. Mason greeted me and made me feel comfortable as we entered the massage room. The bed was heated, with weighted blanket and calming music vibrated the entire bed. I melted away as mason massaged my whole body, taking care to leave me mostly covered under the warm blanket the entire time. He also used heated towels and a wonderful essential oil blend. I felt truly relaxed and my whole body vibrated with warmth and comfort. Would definitely come back again!

Wow! Walking into Immerse Modern Massage, my entire body immediately relaxed right at the front door. The aromatherapy is so intoxicating and soothing, and the ambiance is very nice. Walking into the treatment room was even better. They really did such a good job with the place! Not to mention the massage table! Omg, it felt so incredible to be sandwiched in between healing frequencies, warmth, and high vibrations. I can't wait to go back! I was impressed to say the least.

I loved this experience! Mason was very attentive to the needs of my body, and taught me some techniques to use at home to open my muscles and spots of tension. The massage table with the sound vibrations is absolutely divine, and the heated amethyst pad really makes the experience magical and soothing. 100% would recommend to anyone!

What an absolutely relaxing and healing place this is. I got a 90-minute massage for self care and to get ready for a long business trip across the country. The weighted blanket, and other lovely touches were just what I needed. Fox was a wonderful massage therapist and I'll definitely be back!

The approach given by the masage therapist is holistic and includes some unique approaches to bodywork and the use of the senses(i.e using sound vibrations on the table). The experience here was awesome!

As soon as I came in there was a hot neck compress waiting for me that felt amazing, and then I was asked questions that made me feel cared for and that they wanted to give me a very personal experience for my unique needs. With a combination of a sound-infused massage table, weighted and warmed blankets, and very thoughtful movement through form of massage, I felt zenned out by the end of it! It's a unique experience that stands out from your normal massage appointment. Definitely recommend! :

Mason did an incredible job working on my points of tension. He's incredibly intuitive with good hands and a calming demeanor. The space was clean, well set up and incredibly calming to be in. Bonus points for the massage table giving subtle vibrations to the bass from the ambient music he has playing during sessions.

What an incredible experience! The energy of the space was so relaxing and the aesthetic was so peaceful. I am still dreaming of the treatment table! Heated crystal therapy pad as a base with vibrations that sync with the music and the weighted blanket topped it off! I am so looking forward to my next massage here.

It's not often that you come across a master of a craft, less often that you have the opportunity to experience it first hand. Mason understood my language when it came to explaining what I feel within my body and how it impacted me in my daily walk. From the first session, I felt more stable in my footing and for days after my circulation and energy had me feeling years younger.

Right away upon arriving I began to feel at ease, as every detail of the space clearly has the intention of helping you to relax. The heated table was especially comforting as I get cold very easily. I received a 90minute massage from Mason, and I can't say enough how talented he truly is. I had let him know of some problem areas and he was especially careful and tended to my sore muscles incredibly well.

After the 90mins was up, the best word to describe how I felt is Restored. I will definitely be returning for more sessions with him, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to feel some relief and restoration themselves.

From the hot towel draped around my neck as soon as I arrived, to the sonic-vibrations running through the infa-red-heated table with (weighted!) heated blanket. Immerse Modern Massage has made me feel pampered and cared for. Additionally, my practitioner was extremely knowledgeable and insightful about the discomfort I was experiencing, and both made me feel better in the immediate, while accurately diagnosing and prescribing movement corrections to help me moving forward. I will be returning again soon. :)

Mason is an incredibly gifted healer and massage therapist. His treatments will be one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. First off the space he has created instantly brought me to a sense of peace. Before the session even began, Mason helped me destress and he held such great space for me to open up and share my process. The table and space he provides is quite a beautiful experience itself.

The table emits vibrations that play gorgeous music that he hand selected and it's so hard to leave! The massage techniques he used really helped relieve a lot of my chronic tension, a relief much needed. Also I am a very ticklish person myself and have a lot of tension but he was able to listen to my needs and provided the perfect amount of pressure that I needed. My time working with Mason was absolutely incredible. I booked with him to help with a long-standing shoulder and arm injury that had become incredibly hard to live with. I worked with Mason for around three months. Over this period of time, my arm went from nearly unusable to being back to 85%! He also spoke with me about some good home exercises, and made recommendations for additional follow up as well. Very impactful massage. Amazing.

Today I had the pleasure of receiving a wonderfully healing massage by Lexi. I haven't had many massages, however of the few I have had this one was by far the most healing. It was so relaxing I was having to keep myself from drooling & genuinely wish it was a bit longer- hah! Not only was the space absolutely tranquil and full of lovely amenities, she was also attentive to what my body was needing, kindly checking in every once in a while. She went above and beyond! All in all it exceeded my expectations and I would most definitely recommend booking with her!

Great massage clinic and great massage therapists! I've had sessions with both Elexis and Mason, both are talented and intuitive when it comes to understanding where people store their tension. The sound infused table, the weighted blanket, and the amethyst heating pad are elements that add more therapeutic relief to every massage. Would recommend this clinic to friends and family!

Wow! My massage with Mason was healing on so many levels! He addressed the spots of tension and diligently worked to remind my muscles that it's okay to relax. He was very attentive to my needs and comfort. Immerse is definitely an appropriate name for this space as you are enveloped in delightfully warm infrared heat (through amethyst crystals!), the soothing sounds of a waterfall, and a sound bath of vibrations coming directly from the table! I've been getting massages here regularly for the past few years, and I always look forward to the entire experience: the calming space, the relaxing music, and (optional) table heat, and of course, the massage itself. The therapists are always friendly and professional, and check in with you before, during, and after to make sure you get what you need from the session. An hour is good, but 90 minutes is even better. I always leave feeling amazing!

Elexis is a masterful massage therapist. Her technique and attentiveness was as good as anywhere I have been in Portland. She was quick to pick up on any nuance in my reactions and politely checked in regarding pressure, temperature, and comfort. She really relieved my stress and muscle aches from my rather physical job. I will continue to book appointments with her to assist my wellness journey. Additionally, the spa is beautiful and well appointed.

There is a luxurious feeling with the heated table, weighted blanket, and room ambience. including an in-room water feature and appropriate relaxing music. I am encouraging my friends and colleagues to book an appointment with Elexis. You should, too.

If you're looking for a massage therapist, odds are that Mason is the one! I first went to Mason for a one time gifted massage appointment, but soon discovered that ache in my neck I had learned to ignore was a much bigger fix. I bought a package (very worth it) and started seeing Mason regularly. He does an exceptional job checking in with you pre and post appointments to understand focus areas and how you're feeling.

At the end of each appointment I take home exercises that complement my end goals. I've even been referred to other specialists to support my journey toward ache free comfort. I highly recommend Mason if you're looking to feel ache and pain free in your body!
