Dr. Michael C. Mulvaney, D.C. has practiced chiropractic care for over 15 years. Since 2001, he has continued his studies in chiropractics to specialize in specific areas, such as non-surgical spinal decompression, pregnancy and pediatrics, and pain relief for sports injuries. He is proud to serve his local Richmond, VA community, helping his neighbors achieve their wellness goals and live pain-free. It all started when he experienced back pain as a teenager playing soccer, basketball, baseball, and running track.

Dr. Mulvaney's life changed forever in the spring of 1997. He was plagued with back pain from the age of 13 through his teens until he was 21. It all began while playing sports. He was playing soccer, baseball, basketball and running track. Each season would introduce more back pain. After seeing an orthopaedic, he was told it was "just growing pains." Several years later, a top orthopaedic recommended physical therapy. When this was unsuccessful, he was told he would have to "live with it."
In college, the back pain continued. He remained active and "suffered through it" while still playing soccer, volleyball, ice hockey and running. A friend came to visit, saw his suffering and recommended he see a chiropractor. His life changed after the first visit, and he was painfree after three visits. While continuing treatment, his allergies improved, as well as asthma complications. It was this treatment that made him decide to become a chiropractor.

Cannot speak to chiropractic services but I do come here for massage, which is great. But it deserves a shout out for being family/mom-friendly. I've been able to bring both my 7-year-old and my 1-year-old at different times and they were looked after while I was looked after. They have a small table with toys to keep little ones occupied. Even if the massages weren't great I would still choose this place for that reason. Thank you!

We went to Dr. Mulvaney after noticing our six month old was only rolling to one side and was unable to push up onto her hands. He explained how babies get out of alignment during birth and then did a few very gentle stretches with her. I've received chiropractic care before but had never seen it done on a baby so I was a bit nervous. She hardly seemed to notice and happily chattered away with him and the lovely receptionist.
I wasn't expecting immediate results but the very next morning she rolled over on her left side and has started to push up on her hands already. She clearly has a better range of motion. I absolutely trust Dr. Mulvaney and his team to continue to care for her as needed!

I have recently moved to Richmond from Florida and was in search of a chiropractor. After having gone to three or four over the past six months I have finally landed on an office where everyone is professional the office is immaculate everybody was helpful and the people couldn't have been nicer. The doctors training as well as his additional expertise in modalities and nutrition was greatly appreciated

So happy to have found Spinal Correction Center. The doctor & staff are so nice and caring. For many years l have dealt with living in severe daily pain due to spinal problems. Finally l have found a Doctor that is helping to relieve my pain for the first time. I have seen many specialist doctors over the years as well as going to pain management.
I have had numerous injections in my cervical and lumbar spine with no relief. Anyone in need of help dealing with chronic pain should definitely give Spinal Correction Center of Richmond a chance to help relieve that pain.

After a bad accident, I was in massive pain and started coming to the spinal correction center for physical therapy. Dr. Mulvaney and his team were so welcoming and, after a few weeks of treatment, I have felt a lot of improvement in my body and less pain. I am looking forward to continuing to feel better and I can't thank Dr. Mulvaney and his team enough for helping me improve the quality of my body through physical therapy. Dr. Mulvaney is the best. I have been going to Spinal Care for 3 years. When I started coming to see Dr. Mulvaney I was taking too many anti inflammatory medications. Unable to take anything stronger than Motrin 800mg, I was in constant pain. We started my program of 3 times a week and gradually decreased my visits. Sometimes I've had to increase my visits during the spring and fall when heavy gardening lifting is involved, but now I am visiting about every 6-8 weeks for alignment and not taking any kind of medication other than a normal dose of Tylenol or Motrin if I do more physical activity than i am suppose to.
I would recommend Dr. Mulvaney to everyone young and old. And, if you want the best experience, make an appointment with Leland for one of his best messages right before your appointment with the doctor.

I've been a patient for a couple years and it is my life saver! I was unable to lay down and sleep with out waking up from pain, it quickly stopped within the first few adjustments. They work so well with my schedule, and are super friendly! Everyone on the team makes you feel like an old friend or family. This was the best investment for my body, I couldn't live without my adjustments.
Price wise, it can be somewhat expensive because most insurance doesn't cover but they work payment plans. They are reasonable though, if there is an issue they will do anything to work with you. They want you to be there and receive treatment!
