Swedish massage
Report
During Swedish massage, the therapist will apply massage oil to your skin to facilitate various massage strokes, involving the smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching and (sometimes) tapping.
Swedish massage promotes relaxation, eases muscle tension and has other health benefits. It can be slow and gentle or vigorous and bracing, depending on what the therapist wants to achieve.
Feel free to state your preference for pressure during Swedish massage. It can range from light to firm. Swedish massage usually includes some deeper work on areas of specific muscle tension. If you want more intensive work and firmer pressure, ask for a deep tissue massage.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Report
The name Craniosacral is made up of the two terms cranium and sacrum. Forming the two poles of the Central Nervous System, they (together with the brain- and spinal membranes) make an unity in which the cerebrospinal fluid rhythmically pulsates. The inherent force within the tidal movement of the cerebrospinal fluid, called the Breath of Life in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, initiates various rhythmic impulses within the body that carry an ordering principal for body and mind.
Through the subtle art of touch, the Craniosacral practitioner listens to these subtle rhythms, inviting and encouraging within the customer's system the inherent intelligence and health of the body and its ability to heal and regulate itself. In making a safe space with appropriate and clear boundaries and establishing and strengthening inner resources, the customer's body-mind is able to express, without becoming overwhelmed, places of tightness and patterns of inertia that hold unresolved experiences of stress or trauma, and thus initiating healing and integration. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, non-invasive, yet deep bodywork that is safe for people of any age, from babies to the elderly, as well as during pregnancy.
A session generally lasts between 75 to 90 minutes. With children it might be shorter. The practitioner works with the client lying on a massage table. However, it is also possible to work with the client in a sitting position or even in movement. This pertains particularly when working with children.

Biomat
Report
The BioMat delivers the highest vibrational resonance deep into all tissues of the human body. The combination of far infrared light, negative ions and amethyst quartz opens the channels for intelligent cellular communication leading to DNA repair and total body wellness. The BioMat is present for use during colon hydrotherapy and massage sessions or can be used as a stand-alone treatment.
Negative Ions increase serotonin levels. Once Negative Ions reach the bloodstream they have a good effect on the rate at which serotonin is oxidized in the blood, resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy. Negative ions are odorless, tasteless and invisible particles that we inhale in abundance near waterfalls, rain forests and oceans. They ssist to alleviate allergies, migraines and sinus problems.
Amethyst boosts the production of hormones. It strengthens the cleansing organs, the circulatory system and blood, the immune system and body metabolism. Amethyst soothes the nervous system and aids in the transmission of neural signals. Memory skills improve with the use of this therapy.
Far Infrared Heat is pure energy in the form of LIGHT from the invisible area of the electromagnetic spectrum. Far Infrared Heat is the most beneficial light wave, penetrating the skin and increasing circulation to detoxify the body of harmful toxins and acid wastes.

I live south of Chicago and have been unable to find massage therapists that are any where near as skilled or knowledgeable as those at Living Arts Wellness. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting a massage from the "best of the best " . Their colon hydro therapy and other healing serviceshave also helped me with healing from serious illness.

I am an electrician and have to lift often-heavy objects at work. Fortunately I learned of Living arts massage. Since I have been going there my back doesn't bother me, and I have much greater agility. Every time that I visit Celeste at the Living arts massage I leave feeling much better. She is very professional and gives wonderful massages!

I have been battling a long time illness and Celeste has been a tremendous part of my healing process. She has been so patient with me and taken the time to understand what it is that I need from each session. Her professionalism is uncanny and much appreciated given the circumstances. She has a plethora of knowledge and is always ready to share any ideas with me in order to help me achieve better health.

In my estimation, Celeste is one of the most outstanding health professionals that I have had the opportunity to be treated by. I found her to be very professional. Celeste is knowledgeable and thorough. Being a Medical Qigong Practitioner and Energy Healer myself, I have had the opportunity to experience many health professionals and would rank Celeste one of those at the top of her field.
Her knowledge on subjects such as massage therapy, raw foods, colon hydrotherapy and other health disciplines is vast. I highly recommend anyone to use Celeste's services as her Center is grounded and founded in Integrity.
