Very relaxing environment. They carry and use a great natural skin care line. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Disrespectful and unprofessional front desk personal. I had a 3:15pm facial appointment and arrived a few minutes early to check in. The women at the front desk insisted that I was 15 minutes late for my 3pm appointment, that my time will be cut short, but they "will try to accommodate me". When I told her that I'm on time, she would not listen - she did not try to verify my name or double check the schedule or service I was getting.

She seemed annoyed, avoided any eye contact, and did not seem concerned when I finally cancelled my appointment because I was so upset from her treatment. While I was out in my car in the parking lot, a technician ran out to let me know she was in fact waiting for me for the 3:15pm appointment and that the front desk woman had mistaken me for a different client who had a 3pm massage. At this point I was so upset and decided to stand by my cancellation. I left upset and my afternoon was ruined. I will never come back!

I loved my facial! So relaxing I fell asleep LOL. Beautiful place. My face feels amazing thank you so much, I'll be back again

If you're looking for a good spa, this is it! Very clean, the staff was professional and friendly. The service was phenomenal. The massage therapist I had was very thorough, and gave a brief consultation about what she was going to do, and also asked me questions about what areas should be targeted, etc. They also have a cute gift shop. It's a great place to go solo, or make it an event with a small group, if you book ahead of time. Would highly recommend!

Update: Thank you to the owner Doreen. She invested the time and energy into understanding the problem. She worked with Spa Week and we were refunded. ----- Poor business practice and poor management. My family has supported By the Sea for the last 20 years - we will not be returning. I booked a massage over the phone exactly one week before my appointment.

I specifically told the girl who took my call that I would be paying with the Spa Week Gift Card, and I was told that this was fine. The day before the appointment I received a confirmation call. Fast forward, when I go to pay for the massage, the receptionist tells me that I cannot use the gift card, as of last week By the Sea no longer accepts them, and I will have to pay in full.

I shared with her that I not only confirmed that I could use the gift card over the phone, but that they are also listed on the Spa Week website. She says, "Well, we stopped using them last week" and "we shouldn't be on their site anymore, " as if this cancels everything out. She completely dismisses me. She then says, "I don't know what the conversation was that you had but here's a 15% off for next time." Over the weekend I called to speak to the owner OR a senior manager to voice my complaint.

I received a call back the following day and everything the apathetic receptionist stated was repeated, as well as adding that I should have received a confirmation text message stating that they no longer accept Spa Week (I never received a text) PLUS that this information is on their website. At no time was there ever any recognition that this is a massive faux pas or an attempt to rectify the situation.

There also did not seem to be any comprehension of what the problem was: You cannot tell a customer over the phone that they can pay one way and then deny them that payment once they have received the service. If I had not wanted to stiff the message therapist on her tip, I would not have paid. As this was a gift, what if I did not have the money? Surprise, the manager that called was the rude apathetic receptionist.

I asked her to have the owner call me and she said the owner does not take calls, send an email. And by the way, they are STILL listed on the Spa Week website AND when I called Spa Week, they told me that they have no record of By the Sea attempting to end their relationship. They are now investigating By the Sea's business practice.

I have only been twice within 3 years due to a busy life schedule but I have enjoyed both visits thoroughly and plan to go back regularly. Every staff member is pleasant and professional and very respectful. The boutique and waiting lounge are beautiful and comfortable. You are greeted with a smile and the massage services are amazing. Each masseuse my friend and I've had have been specifically attentive to problem areas and the prices are very reasonable for such great services and atmosphere. We plan on making this a monthly girl's spa day!

Called late April to schedule pedicures prior to a long-awaited vacation. I was told they were all booked up and could not accommodate me for my early May date. I was disappointed but understood they must be backed up because so many were vaccinated and ready to go into spa settings again. I checked again to schedule a summer pedicure and I see they do not offer manicures or pedicures at all now. I'm disappointed but am also realizing I was not told the truth when I called in April.

I had a wonderful massage with Jennifer today! Usually I don’t like to get massages but she was amazing and made me feel super comfortable! Not only are her hands amazing and strong but she is incredibly knowledgeable! She has been the first person to explain to me why I’m probably having the issues I am and she found the spots of tension and was able to start to work them out for me! I’ve never felt more like jello and rejuvenated after having left a massage! I was relaxed and my body is feeling lighter! Thank you Jennifer!

Karen is by far the most amazing at what she does. Her massage had me leave with no trace of the awful headache I’ve had for over a week.

Melissa did my first ever facial and it was truly a relaxing experience.

Can’t wait to go back.

My first time and it was absolutely amazing to say the least. The massage and facial were expertly done making it great but the topper was my masseuse Melissa. She made the experience unforgettable! When I go back, which I will it will only be to her. Same thing with my nail tech Amanda. She turned my mani/pedi into something special. So personable, so sweet. I can’t say enough good things about these ladies. Actually everyone I encountered there was awesome. This is the best I have ever felt, can’t wait to go back!

What a relaxing experience at By the Sea! I had the Mother’s Day special and couldn’t be happier with it! Jane gave me a magical Swedish massage that had me so relaxed I almost fell asleep 😄. Followed it up with a facial with Danielle that was also amazing! Thank you! Can’t wait to come back!

I recently visited by the sea for a massage appointment followed by a manicure and pedicure. It was the most wonderful afternoon. My massage was so relaxing probably one of the best I've ever had. The manicure and pedicure room was absolutely beautiful and I loved my services. From start to finish I could say I had a perfect day. The staff upon my arrival Was warm and welcoming and I felt very pampered throughout. I will definitely Be back very soon and would highly recommend to my friends and family to book an appointment at By the Sea! Thank you for a wonderful day!

I was a nervous wreck about getting a massage because I am not a fan of disrobing and having strangers touch me but let me say it was the best experience I have ever had. I will try to get a massage a few times a year if possible! I have never felt so relaxed! Jane is amazing... made me feel totally comfortable and was such a sweetheart! Kim did my body wrap and was also sweet and made me feel totally comfortable. I left there feeling like a new person. The only thing I felt a little funny about was sitting in the waiting room with fully dressed women with my robe on

I had an amazing experience today. My nails are beautiful, the tea was delicious, my body no longer feels sore or tense, the staff was friendly and I'm leaving feeling relaxed. What more can a girl ask for?

Went for a pedicure today Kim was great super friendly and sweet!! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she was just so nice had a great time! Plus Lea at the front desk is just absolutely amazing so professional and recommened the oil diffuser so happy with the entire service!

It was my first time and my therapist Lisa me me feel so comfortable. As a mom of two is difficult to get some down time so to be able to go in and actually be given water and asked how I am was amazing lol. The membership so far is definitely worth it and highly recommend. Even the office girl who called to remind me was very patient with me asking all my questions and relaxing my nerves.

I only come here for massages! I have had swedish, deep tissue and my husband and I had a couples massage last year. I just went yesterday for a swedish massage post baby. It was only a half hour, but Lisa made every minute count. She incorporates stretching into her massages, which I love! The atmosphere is always calming and tranquil. Afterwards, you can enjoy hot tea and light snacks. The gift shop has amazing products; I love the lotions and soaps. I can't wait to go back!
