Renew Day Spa is the evolution of a health care practice started in 1988. Our founder, Lyn Winegar, a chiropractor with primarily a female patient base, realized that there were many facets of personal well-being that were remaining unmet. The vast majority of her patients were intelligent, educated and cultured women who, while having a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in their professional and family obligations, lacked a place where they could go, with the modicum of free time their daily regimen allowed, to "regroup" or "renew" the essence of who they truly are.

I came today for a deep tissue massage and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very professional and the masseuse was easy to talk to and work with. He also paid attention to area that I requested, and made sure to work those areas. I recommend the $49 body massage + the CBD oil add on. I will definitely come again:

I've been a client of Renew Day Spa for the last eight years. It's my favorite spot in the city. I come here either for relaxation or when I have issues with my back or neck, walking out from them with no pain and feeling like brand new. Also, prices are super reasonable! I highly recommend checking them out.

I love going to this spa. Staff has always been courteous and professional. My last massage was with Chandra. I had the 90 minute swedish massage and it was wonderful. She addressed my neck and back issues. When I left, my neck felt better than it has in a long time. The tightness in my back left. She provided just the right amount of pressure. From my toes to my head, felt the stress leaving my body.
I had my brows waxed and previously had a facial with Rubna. She is very knowledgeable about skin and helped me address hydration. I use the Envee collagen serum and the fig oil. Both products make my skin look younger. I can't wait to schedule my next massage.

I came in today for the very first time. I must say this is the best massage I've ever experienced. The appointment was easy to make by phone. My therapist has VERY strong hands and it was actually painful at times but it's what I needed. My back and shoulders were so tense from heavy working and stress. It's a no frill place, but the massage itself was just superb and the price was fair.
My only concern is that I tipped my therapist very well, because he did such a great job, but I didn't get a chance to hand it to him. It went to the front desk attendant. I hope that he got his tip in its entirety and hope that he understood what a great job he did.

Went in to interview at the spa and got the vibe that they do not like to hire black people. I even went in and approached the owner about it. and she was very careless. She even put the one African American person at the front desk in an uncomfortable position when she pointed her out. That is such a shame in this day and time to be like that. If you want to support an owner like that then go to Renew. THEY DO NOT SUPPORT THE BLACK COMMUNITY. I can assure you I will investigate and see who else they have wronged. I will update you here.

If you are looking for a business to spend money at where the employees have empathy and not a snarky attitude, choose somewhere else. this would have been my 4th time coming here after sending plenty of friends and recommending the place. i needed to change an appointment and was greeted with hostility and attitude on the phone, as i was on the phone and she was explaining the cancellation policy, she charged my card for $400 before i even had the opportunity to arrive and get the services. very rude director. i will never be back!

I have been coming here for 7 years and I love it. I have referred many friends as well. Their new facility is an upgrade. If you can frequent here enough to find a masseuse or masseur that works for you, then ask them their name and request them on your next visit! The employees are very professional and I always leave feeling so good. Renew is one of my NYC staples.

Sooo good! The day spa that my family went to for decades closed bc of Covid, and I was heart broken since I thought nothing would compare. Well it turns out that there was something better - renew day spa! This place is amazing, i muscles like steel wire that was taken OUT with the CBD oil and the amazing work of the staff. Recommended it to all my coworkers and I'm going to tell my family that we have a new place to go to for some deep relaxation. This is the place! All the compliments to Daisy, a polite and amazing masseuse!

This place is amazing and both my husband and I have had amazing massages from here for years- it's very quiet (other than the timer going off, but hey, it's a no-frills spot!), they play soft, soothing music during the massage, and the masseuse does a number of different things - dry massage, massage with oil/lotion, and even incorporates hot stone massage techniques! It felt like we were robbing them given how little they were charging us (Used to be $36 for a 60-minute massage and not up to $45 if paying cash)

I understand when cancelling last minute you can be charged a fee but charging $235 because I had 102 fever and possibly COVID and I was nice enough to not bring my germs in to your staff and customers is a crime. I will tell everyone I know not to visit your spa or buy any of your products. If you're reading this and looking for a great SPA go somewhere else!

Very condescending and rude office manager. I will start my review by saying that this is a lovely spa and I have been several times as my husband usually gets me a gift certificate for birthdays and Mother's Day. In 2019 my husband bought me a certificate for services which included gratuity. I had just gone back to work after being a stay at home mom for seventeen years and therefore scheduling a time to get the spa was a bit more challenging.
In February/March the world experienced a pandemic that no one in our lifetime has ever been through before and for obvious reasons I was not able to get in to use my certificate within the year timeline that is given. I understand that the spa extended the certificates for a few months beyond expiration dates due to the pandemic. I am now fully vaccinated and still not 100% comfortable with going into a spa but I thought that I would call just to see if there was anything that they could honor.
Here are the bullet points to what I was told by Kim the office manager 1. No portion of my certificate would be honored because I had 10 months pre pandemic to use it and I did not do so and I also did not use it during the extended time ( the extended time was still at the height of the pandemic) 2. Refused to give me the owners name ( it is public information and I looked it up within seconds of hanging up) 3.
When I asked what the reasoning/philosophy was behind keeping money for services and gratuity for services never used Kim stated " we follow the law and the law states that we have to give an expiration date" ( this is true but does the law state that you cannot make exceptions to honor services already paid for? ) Law states that the expiration date must be visible, it does not state that it must be enforced. 4.
When I asked Kim where the money for certificates for services and gratuity that are never redeemed goes, she informed me that it was none of my business. ( sure, ok, that's a mature answer) I fully understand that this business owner has the right to stand behind her policy that is clearly stated, however between the rude office manager and the inflexibility of this policy during unprecedented times I will never go to this spa again.
The decision to keep an amount of money that I honestly don't even remember has cost this business at least 10 times more since I loved this spa and would have continued to visit many more times over the years. and as for why I did not use the certificate 10 months pre pandemic.it was because between going back to work, I was trying to schedule a time with my best friend and I was going to pay extra and treat her to a spa day with me, therefore it would have been twice the amount that this business would have received from me.

Don't call here if you want to speak to an actual person. I originally made an appointment for a facial but called and left a voicemail to change it to a massage on the same day. I ended up having to call 2 days later to confirm that my services were changed since I never got a call back and after being on hold for over 5 minutes I found out that my service was never changed and I wouldn't be able to change my service to a time that would work for me.

I purchased a $100 massage gift certificate for my wife on August 17, 2019. Unfortunately she was not able to use it due to illness in 2019 and the covid situation of 2020. It expired this past August after one year. I called Renew, who offered no help. The manager told me that they are required by law to abide by terms of the certificate. In actuality, Georgia Code 44-12-205, set a minimum expiration date of 5 years for gift certificates. Terrible customer service and and no loyalty to a patron who has used the services at Renew many times in the past 20 years. Never again though. Shame on Renew!

Covid-19 Update It's become tradition. Whenever my daughter visits from NYC, I treat her to a massage and facial at Renew. When she proposed it last week, I was hesitant. There's a pandemic going on. I checked with the desk regarding precautions, and was satisfied with their response. -- All staff is masked. Patrons must be, too. (Note that during the facial obviously one can't be. but the aesthetician is.) When I was face-down on the massage table Melody, my masseuse said I could take the mask off, but when I flipped over on my back, she asked that I put it back on.
Of course! -- Facilities are kept clean -- they always were! -- equipment and massage tables are sanitized between clients. -- No problem distancing from other clients -- particularly during the week. -- The snack table has been modified. No more fruit and nuts. Everything is wrapped during the pandemic. Smart move! Services were great. though I miss my former masseuse, Laurie, who apparently retired. After this horrendous year, you're due for a treat. I think you'll feel safe -- and relaxed! -- at Renew.

Purchased 4 $160 dollar gift certificates for my female cousin, her daughter and my 2 daughters 12/5/30. I live in South Florida. This was a Christmas gift for a' girls day out' which I informed the spa. I also informed them we would be in Atlanta for a week. They offered to mail the gift certificates and I said yes because, as I informed them, I wanted to give the gifts on the day of my arrival, 12/20/20., so that ALL the recipients could use them during Christmas week.
Imagine my surprise when we called a week before Christmas and were told that they were COMPLETELY booked for almost a month in advance. At no point was it mentioned that the certificates would be USELESS during our time in Atlanta, despite my having mentioned that we would only be there during Christmas and that these were CHRISTMAS gifts that were to be used DURING THE CHRISTMAS holiday and that we live 1200 miles away. No, "We are completely booked during your trip" or "You should book now because we are filling up." When I asked for my money back the owner told me, "They're good for a lifetime. Sorry." And he told my bank that because I was unhappy that I was belligerent.
Gift certificates? Buyer beware. We visit every 5 years or so. I guess the women in my family can use their 2020 Christmas gifts in 2025. If they are still in business. In response- I bought these over the phone, so I could not see the gift certificates or any policy printed on them. The spa should have told me that this was their busiest time of the year and I should book ahead. Which they didn't. Now they say that the certificate is good for a year. Over the phone they said they don't expire. Unprofessional. Liars.

I have been coming to Renew for over 2 years and If I could give 10 stars I would. I absolutely LOVE the service I receive. The facility is very clean, everyone wears face masks, and they temperature check prior to going into a room. The price is so affordable for 60 mins and I am always leaving very relaxed. The only place in Chinatown I will go to for a massage. I highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. I have loved Renew Day Spa for years but I had to finally write a review because of such a wonderful and relaxing service from Lubna. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all parts of the skin and I left looking years younger. I had the body scrub and facial. I highly recommend!

I have been to a lot of spas around Atlanta and Renew day spa is still my ultimate favorite! My massage therapist Amy is so kind, experienced and really helps me relax as well as eases my tense muscles. Melissa has such a fun personality and keeps my face looking great! I love the team at Renew day spa, they really go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience!

Writing on behalf of my teenage daughter. After years of going there, she has now had TWO bad experiences at Renew Day Spa. First time, my daughter requested to "clean up her brows" and keep them thick. The esthetician waxed them off till they were PENCIL THIN. This was the day before HS Senior Graduation pictures, so my daughter left in tears. There was nothing for the manager to do but apologize and promise she would never get that waxer again.
The second incident happened this month, the day before my daughter returned to college for Sorority Rush. The esthetician's wax burned both sides of her mouth so badly that there are now BURN MARKS. One burn is nearly two inches long (see picture). The waxer said her skin was just sensitive and the red would be gone in an hour. The next day, my daughter said her skin was still burning with pain, so I called the manager. Sent her pics of my daughter's face and asked what to do.
She credited my money, said to buy Cortisone and she would "be in touch very soon". That was a week and a half ago. I assumed that meant she would do something incredible sweet for my sobbing child, who is mortified that there is still a long burn on her face, which could potentially turn into a scar. They have obviously forgotten about us by now. So sad and disgusted with their business now.

I've been here a couple of times. Once for a sinus focused massage and once for a detox scrubbing massage. The spa is cute and quaint, not a luxurious type feel like a bigger hotel spa. The staff members are professional and knowledgeable and take the time to make sure that your massage is to your liking. Before or after your appointment, they have two little rooms with arm chairs where you can have some tea, water and other little snacks such as nuts, fruit, and cookies. They're are also magazines to read in there. If you're on the email list, they send out deals all the time. It's kind of a trek from where I live but I can't wait for my next trip.

I'm happy to have found my spa "home base" here in the Atlanta area. I'm a tough one to please when it comes to the spa experience. My facial was absolutely excellent. I truly feel like my face is clean. Many times you have a facial and they just slather a bunch of stuff all over and call it a day. What would make this a 5 star for me- -I prefer oils to lotion for my massage.
My MT used lotion and I just prefer the sensation of oils as well as some aroma therapy in the room. -music- the music during my facial was transformative. The music during my massage was perplexing and mostly in minor notes that didn't really lift the spirits or allow your mind to wander. And finally - my wish list would be a room with some mineral baths or a large hot tub. I look forward to my next visit!

This is the best kept secret in Marietta. I used to go to the Nordstrom Spa once a-month. I stopped once I found Renew 5 years ago. It is a regal experience at a decent price. From the moment you walk through the doors you will be hooked. Upon entry and a warm welcome, you are escorted to a room to put on a robe. slip ons. and given a private locker for your things.
Shortly thereafter, you are escorted to a waiting area for finger food, perhaps a cup of tea or fruit flavored water. The therapist will come to retrieve you from your private waiting area and as you follow, you will notice the sound of beautiful playing music and calming colors. The smells are seductive. The place is immaculate. spotless. I highly recommend the massage with reflexology. The facial was a 10 as well. The only drawback is that when it is over you willnot want to leave.

I LOVED this spa! This was my first spa day ever and Kim did an AMAZING massage and Lauren did an excellent facial! They give you fresh cucumber water, tea, and snacks in between. I loved it all, and the new owner is super nice! 4 stars because the receptionist (unsure of her name- short black hair) was rude to us at the very end. After paying that much for a relaxing day, the last thing you want is a NON relaxing receptionist checking you out at the end. Overall amazing experience!

Spa-mazing! See what I did there? () I am a recent SAHM to a now 8mo old baby. She was premature so we spent the first 3 mo cooped up inside, then I broke my foot so we spent another 2 mo while I hobbled around and put a lot more stress on my body. When my mom came to town a month after I had "healed" to visit her granddaughter I jumped at the chance to take advantage of the free babysitter and pamper myself.
I booked an hour massage and a facial. Totally heaven. Exactly what I was looking for and needed. I didn't want one of those chain spas and I really wanted the relaxation areas with tea and treats. Bingo. I forget my therapists names or they would get a shout out here. I'm coming back! Sometime soon I hope.
