SOCA Day Spa

I really wanted to love this spot since it's so close to Park Circle. I am a former massage therapist but I did not disclose this up front because usually that makes the therapist want to ask me a lot of questions. My massage was going well when the front desk started pushing notes under the door and scratching at it loudly. Then they KNOCKED! The therapist thought it was some kind of emergency. No. they just needed the room we were in and interrupted us mid way!

They MADE US MOVE in the middle of my massage and completely broke my relaxation. I work so hard and was finally coming to use the gift card I got from my husband for Christmas. I was very confused and they only gave me $15 off for the inconvenience. I really wanted to return but cannot justify it after the way the front desk treated me like my time and experience didn't matter. I wonder who was so royal that they had to move me, a mere peasant to another room?

Love this place. Bae and I go every time we are in the area on a trip. Wine, chocolates, and wonderful rooms with relaxing music and scents. Gave us time after the massage to talk and drink our wine. They have other products available for purchase as well! Definitely a good place to go to decompress.

I had a wonderful experience. Me and my fiance went Valentine's Day weekend for a couple's massage And it was amazing. They paid very close attention to all details. One of my favorite parts was just relaxing in my robe in the relaxation room with with the hot Neck wrap before our service. Will definitely Go back for more services!

Jen's bamboo massage was out of this world. If you like deep pressure you MUST try this bamboo massage. They are warm too so feels a bit like hot stones. Beautiful spa and amazing experience from the moment I walked in! Decent prices also

I always have such a great experience at Soca! The staff is amazing, the facilities are immaculate and the atmosphere is wonderful. I honestly don't go anywhere else anymore.

I went to SoCa today for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. From the beautifully curated rooms to the complimentary tea and hot neck wrap while you wait, to the actual service itself - the whole experience was so relaxing. Great value and service. I walked in pensive, anxious even. I left arms swinging like the Wolf of Wallstreet, relaxed and ready to face the week. One ask, more robe sizes. The xxl left me swimming in clothe.

Amazing. I had a duet massage at SoCa and we loved it! Very clean and inviting ambiance from the changing rooms to the relaxation rooms. We were welcomed with champagne, chocolates, and warm neck pillows. Much needed! I will always come back to SoCa when in Charleston.

This place was incredible! From the moment I first spoke to Zoe, who helped me plan a fantastic bday surprise for my friend to the services to leaving, everything was great! They were willing to work with me and my crazy idea of bringing balloons and a little birthday sign ahead of time to surprise her. The experience was very relaxing, calming, clean and ambient, exactly what I wanted to gift my friend; a new mommy, for her birthday!

We got a 30 min facial and 30 min massage. Jennifer, the massage therapist gave me what was one of the best massages I have ever had- my only regret was not getting it longer! Shoutout to all, Zoe, Allie, Jennifer and Emily the esthetician. I will definitely be back here!

I do not even know the name of the girl that did my massage. But I will say thank goodness the table was warm. The lotion that she used during my massage was ice cold. And as far as a massage? All she did was rub lotion on me. Before we started she asked if I had any spot that I needed extra attention to. I stated that my lower back would need it.

She spent more time scratching my hair line with her nails (her idea of a scalp massage I think) then she did on my lower back. I have had many massages over the years and this is hands down the worst one I have ever experienced. I also had a facial while I was there. She did better, but still not close to being one of my top 10 facials. I do not recommend this place at all.

Got a couple's massage with my boyfriend recently and we absolutely loved it! It was his first time getting a massage so I wanted to make sure we went to a trusted spa. We had a really great time and even talked about making it a regular thing for the future. Thank you so much SoCa Day Spa for providing such a relaxing and calming experience!

Paid for an hour massage to only get about 40 minutes. I arrived at opening time along with a friend. We were greeted, chatted with, asked to sign covid forms, brought to the dressing room and given robes and lockers. We changed, used the restroom and were then seated in another room to wait for our massage therapist. Once collected we were brought back to the room where the process was discussed.

She then leaves for you to undress and get on the table where you wait for her to return. When the massage was complete it was exactly 10am. This provided about a 40 minute massage. I called to ask if that was standard to include check in and prep time because I'm not in control of most of that and was disappointed to not get what I paid for.

I was assured that wasn't how it worked and the message would be relayed to management. I did receive a call late that evening that I was unable to answer with a message stating that she would try again the next day. That never happened, so the following day after that I called again only to not get a callback to try to solve this issue. I can only imagine what a 30 minute massage would've yielded counting prep time.a 10 minute massage?!?! This is unacceptable and calling has gotten me nowhere.

This was my first time waxing. The staff here was awesome. Before making my appointment, they answered all of my questions. They even booked my friend and I at the same time to make us comfortable. During the whole procedure, Ret was so nice. She walked me through the whole thing. Most relaxing experience ever!

This is the place to come for rest and relaxation. The staff is great and the location is so serene. Just imagine an hour of a true relaxation of your body being massaged and stretched followed my more R&R with champagne.

My husband and I had facials. Loved the atmosphere, locker room was okay- quiet room was nice. My facial was amazing. Everyone was super nice; I've been looking for someone. Since recently moving here and I have found my new quiet place. Thank you SoCa!

It was really nice inside and everyone was so sweet but my guy wouldn't stop talking. which is the last thing you want when your trying to relax because you've got a two year old at home! Have more courage than me and tell them you don't want to talk! I wish I had!

I came here for a prenatal/couples massage and everything was amazing. The service was excellent and the massage was even better. It was my husband's first massage and he loved every bit of it. We were only in town for the weekend, but if we were local this would definitely be our place to go.

Awesome workers, awesome services, I would recommend the facial weekly! Nothing like it! The spray tan was a blast! Lots of fun, spent the whole day having everything done. Beautiful bunch of workers

FIRST MASSAGE EVER! Hadn't seen my best friend for over a decade, in two years. She flew in and we needed something to do, so massages it was! We were both nervous and acted a bit like giddy school girls at first, and it was just perfect. I was blown away by the calm and serenity of that place. The building itself is almost like the Tardis (Dr. Who) "it's bigger on the inside." I seriously forgot I was in a strip mall.

It felt like a mini vacation both in atmosphere and the massage itself. I don't remember my masseuse's name but he was such a gentleman. Perfect pressure! I felt like my joints were floating for at least 45 minutes afterwards, and I can't wait to come back with a local friend who hasn't heard of y'all yet. Seriously considering gifting massages to family for Christmas presents.

In my opinion, SoCa is one of the best in the Charleston area. From the time you walk in, to the moment that you leave they treat you like royalty. They present you with a robe, sandals and a locker to place your items in. Once you enter the relaxation area, they hand you a warm neck wrap and they have fresh cucumber water and granola bars for you to enjoy.

The masseurs do a good job of listening to your wants/needs. They offer a variety of services from massages to facials. The spa is also located in a shopping center so there is adequate parking.

This is the place I come when I think of the spa. I have been here several times. It is always relaxing and everyone is so friendly. The spa itself is very relaxing and nicely decorated. Once your enter the relaxation waiting area, they provide you with a warm neck wrap which gets you ready for your services. They have little snacks in there with cool and hit water (in case you want to make some tea).

My Etsy is Kelly and she does an amazing facial. She has a background in massage as well, so her facials are really good and relaxing. She always uses the steam for my facials which I love. It makes me feel like I'm getting something special done.

I stopped into Soca Day Spa a few Saturday's ago and had a 30 minute massage with Jennifer H. I have been dying for a relaxing massage, but didn't want to "treat myself". Well I was finally convinced after digging through my email and seeing a 10% off coupon. I had previously only been to Soca for a spray tan (for my wedding, which they did an amazing job at).

I arrived a few minutes early. Checked in. Was shown to a locker room where I changed into a robe and some slippers. Relaxed in the waiting area, with calm music and hot neck cloth. The massage therapist was a little late, but I didn't care because I wanted to spend all day there if I could. The massage began. She was very gentle. Massaged my arms, legs, back, neck, EVERYTHING.

She used some light coconut oil. The whole experience was just what I needed. Very, very relaxing. I am definitely looking forward to that next 10% off coupon and booking another appointment! (I think those coupons are a sign that I need to relax and treat myself!)

Soca Day Spa made my Saturday relaxing and special. I bought myself a Diva for the Day Spa Day with lunch. From the time I walked in to the time I left, I was treated like I was royalty. They escorted me to the back to change into a robe and sandals. I changed and sat down in the waiting room where I filled out the paper that asked if I had medical problems and if there's anything they should know about.

I also had a choice between chicken salad, green goddess salad or a wrap for lunch. In the waiting area, there was granola bars and trail mix along with cold cucumber water. I was escorted back for the facial first. It was in depth and amazing. It came with a foot scrub and relaxer as well. Then, I had my 60 min massage. DJ showed me some ways to assist with my neck pain as well as stretched me a bit.

He also paid attention to my painful areas and lightened or deepened pressure as I requested. He was very good. Lunch consisted of the green goddess salad which was super yummy! I was then taken to do the seaweed body wrap. The wrap was not my thing. I'm not sure if I am allergic or what but my body started itching. I'm pretty sure I just had a reaction. Shaneice was super nice and offered the Swiss shower early to wash it off.

The Swiss shower was amazing! I would come back and buy the shower only haha! She offered to give me another wrap but I decided not to chance it. They took it off my bill. I'd def come back for another spa day.

I've been here several times for a Swedish massage service. Most of the massages I've received have been excellent, and the therapist has met with me before and after to discuss problem areas. The locker facilities are neat and clean. It's in a convenient location with plenty of parking.

The spa was a great facility. I do appreciate a waiting room called "the relaxation room" although there's something about sitting in a room with strangers in a robe and rubber slippers that isn't quite what I'd call relaxing. I was there for a sugar and spice massage (the December special) and a head massage. I can't remember the name of the masseuse, but I didn't love my massage.

When pressure wasn't too light, it was too hard. I did say more or less pressure, but she just couldn't seem to get it right. She was also very intent on getting the knots out of my shoulders with her elbows, which meant horrible soreness about 5 hours after the massage and made for difficult sleeping that night. For my head massage, it mostly felt like her rubbing coconut oil on my scalp and pulling/tangling my hair.

She did a great job massaging the sides of my head, but that was the only real place she massaged. When I asked her to massage the middle of my head (I may have a slight OCD problem) she said we only had a few minutes left since they had scheduled an appointment after me. It seemed like maybe she was new at massage, I couldn't peg it. There were also random times she'd stop massaging for a few moments at a time.

Sometimes I could tell it was to pick off a hair but other times it was like she spaced out and forgot I was laying there. Very distracting and a bit strange. Nonetheless, it was a #treatyoself experience.

Updated review: I was contacted by the spa by phone and email and the woman I spoke with (Kathy?) apologized for the issues I met and sent me a full refund. Will happily return for massages, but I'm going to stick to my usual gal for waxes from now on.

I really like Soca Day Spa. The atmosphere is very tranquil and relaxing. From the candle lit rooms to the bubbling fountains I always feel a an immediate sense of relaxation upon arrival. I recently booked a massage and the masseuse did a fantastic job of utilizing the correct amount of pressure and focusing on the problem areas that I mentioned prior to the session beginning.

They are priced similarly to other spas in the area but I have found that I am now receiving discount coupons for future services via e-mail which is a great way to enjoy future services at a great price. If you are in need of a little pampering give them a try!
