Salon Nefisa

So! I think that it is a good experience with a pretty bad end result. I went to get my hair cut, and explained pretty well what I do. I have an undercut because I have a lot of hair, want to cut my hair between the middle of my neck and shoulder, and get curtain bangs. I got my hair washed, was talking, and reminded her I need my glasses to see but had even shown where I would like it cut.

When she cut it, it is now at my earlobes right above my chin. that is a good 3-4 inches above what I wanted. When it comes to cutting hair, I can't really tell you that's too short in the process of cutting it. It's already been done ya know? I'm not a super loud person but I got pretty upset so When I told her i felt like it was short, she said that it was because she styled it with a blow brush and then mentioned that my hair dries straight so it should be right where I want it.

She did straighten it. and it's definitely very short. Like Edna from The Incredibles or Dora short. Also- My hair dries wavy, so if i don't straighten it it's going to be a very odd placed cut (which i learned this morning). I don't think she's a bad stylist, I'll probably end end up going back for very small cuts with contacts in- even if that makes me feel pushy.

But that is kind of ridiculous to have that much of a deviation. I know that it happens, and that itll grow back. but looks like i'm doing updos for the next month or two until my hair is where I want it. I didn't make a fuss, but walking over to my car to call my mom and cry about it definitely wasn't my favorite thing in the world. But- I will say my stylist was extremely nice, and she did seem to know what she was doing.

I think if I was able to see a little better so I could put in more input, it would have been an amazing haircut. I just am a little more than dissapointed- so two stars feels like the move.

I had the best haircut of my life today! It was my first time going into this salon and it was the best choice. Megan did an amazing job and made me feel so comfortable. I had pretty long hair ( All the way down my back) but she went slow because she knew I was nervous and made sure that I was okay with the length before doing more. I immediately booked a next appointment!

I had a scheduling altercation and needed to speak with a manager. I was told twice by two different associates that I would receive a call back. I haven't heard from a single soul. it just sucks because I have gone to them for 2 years now and planned to stick around for a while. but I don't want to stay with a company that doesn't care for their long time clients.

Just be careful when you schedule with them, they'll take your money without a second thought. I'm really heart broken that this is how it had to go. - If you choose to go here, Ryan was the best.

OMG! MEGAN! MEGAN! MEGAN! She was sweet, she was kind, she was supportive, she was SO SO KNOWLEDGABLE! Not only did she give me easily the best haircut of my LIFE but she also helped me find some products that I absolutely love! I feel like I can totally trust her and she was just so so so amazing. Megan Lucas, highly recommend. So very impressed.

I received on of the worst hair cuts today. I do not recommend coming here for a hair cut. Absolutely devastated with how my hair looks. Can't believe it. Hair is uneven all over the top. The sides are not even faded correctly and faded way to high. Absolutely horrible. Service: Haircut

I went to Megan Turner for the first time this week. I'm a recent cancer survivor and my hair is all new growth. Megan did a great job listening to what I wanted, educating me about how to care for my new hair and delivering awesome results! I'm in love with my blonde she did and feel more like myself than I have since being diagnosed. Thanks Megan!

Really happy with the haircut I received here- 10+ inches. Anna did a wonderful job! It had been four years since my last hair cut and I was hoping for a healthy, fresh look, as well as some hair routine advice. Anna helped me decide on length and how to frame my face- I brought a reference pic and it turned out exactly how I wanted! I didn't know some of the questions to ask, and Anna helped me with that- for instance, did I want to be able to pull the hair by my face back behind my ear still?

I wouldn't have thought of that, having had long hair my whole life. I was nervous about how it would look to cut off 10+ inches but I know I made the right choice on a salon, because I am 100% happier with it than I even expected. Anna helped me with product choice- which has given me soft hair instead of the crunchy feel I had been used to- and it was easy to pick some product up on the way out.

I must add that I picked Salon Nefisa based on the reviews here, which were on point- I wanted to make sure to get a good cut for upcoming business events! They were also able to book me very quickly. Excited to rock this healthy and chique look!

I do not recommend this place at all. After making an appointment for a full highlight service and clearing my schedule for that day, I was rejected by the stylist because she didn't have enough time to complete the requested service. Her defense was that the timings are not accurate on the website and she would treat this as a consultation. The stylist was very dismissive and wasted my time with no intention to make it right.

And the price she quoted me was at least the twice the amount that was listed on the website. DO NOT trust their appointment system or pricing information. Looks like they can do whatever they want when the customer shows up. Very unprofessional. I will not be returning!

Megan gave me a cut and I cudnt love my hair more, she totally understood what I wanted and didn't cut anymore than I had in mind. She is great at interpretating your hair type and what u want. I was booked for a 60 min cut but she finished my haircut plus hair wash in half hr even though she cud prolong it as that wudve costed me more money but height of honesty and professionalism, I'm definitely coming back again

Megan worked a miracle with my hair! I am obsessed with it! My hair feels so light and healthy, and it looks beautiful too. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I will absolutely be coming here for my hair from now on . I would 110% recommend Salon Nefisa.

Amanda did an amazing job! it was my first time getting a balayage and she made me feel super comfortable the whole time. 10/10 job! all the staff there was also super sweet and Salon Nefisa felt especially safe during Covid-19.

Love my stylist (Amanda) and this salon! I know I will always be well taken care of here and my hair always feels amazing! They offer a range of beauty, hair, and wellness treatments. The hair products used and sold here are top notch as well and smell divine! The head massage when they wash your hair is to die for! If you are looking for a new stylist, definitely try Nefisa!

Bad haircut, stylist blowout was very painful. Paid for top stylist but work was done by her student! Won't be back.

Salon Nefisa has been my place for haircuts for several years. I always get top-notch treatment there, from a great welcome by name at the door to great conversation in the chair and, of course, a great haircut. I'm an extremely busy guy with a chaotic schedule. Their text appointment reminders keep me notified of my appointments and when I can't make it at my scheduled time, the staff always does their best to work me in.

To preface, I acknowledge that every stylist differs and this review is not to bash Salon Nefisa. I'm unsure if other stylists are like this or not, but I want to share my opinion of my past 2 experiences with their stylist, Maddie. Again, this is my personal experience and may differ from your expectations/experiences. I usually get a costly balayage 1-2x/year and once a month, I'll redo my roots with box dye.

I cannot afford anything more than that and it works for me! When she first touched my hair, she told me how dry and damaged it was. I chuckled and acknowledged that it could be worked on a little bit. She asked me what products I use, and I said drug store shampoo. She then lectured me on the damage it brings and how much better Redken (the brand Salon Nefisa endorses) products are.

I am always aware of this and choose to use drug store products because they're less expensive obviously. Throughout both appointments, she continued to lecture me on not using high-end products and using box dye. It felt more like a confrontation than a relaxing time at the salon. I do NOT pay to be lectured. I AM aware it is her obligation to educate me about my hair, but she can do it without a condescending demeanor.

Then she said I HAD to purchase a keratin treatment that added to my overall balayage cost. She said would not do the balayage without a costly keratin treatment. Like WHAT? I will not ever see her again. I may see another stylist, but most likely, I will steer clear of Salon Nefisa.

I visited Salon Nefisa for a haircut a few weeks ago and I was very disappointed with the outcome. I conveyed my disappointment and they were very quick to correct the situation for me. They immediately booked me an appointment for their next opening. The appointment was with Tori and she is absolutely fabulous. She did an amazing job. I will be returning to her.

Kat was amazing and made sure my hair was top notch before I left that salon. They love to make sure I am completely comfortable and great at conversation. I feel they love my business and want me there.

I had a very bad experience here. I brought in lots of pictures of the highlights I wanted and I ended up completely blonde with terrible looking roots. It is super streaky and looks very careless and sloppy. I was also not informed of the expensive price (more than my friend had gotten hers done for here) until the service had already begun. And when I went to check out, it costed even more than I was told.

Monica was awesome! Wasvery patient with us as we didn't exactly know what we wanted and I let my 9 year old make most of the decisions. We will continue to go back to her.

Not so good. They are nice. BUT while they may be good at haircuts, my hair is ruined. I went in for highlights, just sunny blond streaks in my long dark brown untreated hair, which I've had many times. I brought clear closeup photos, of ME, with MY hair as I wanted it. Not torn from a magazine! ME. MY HAIR. I left with an all-over color change, from beautiful and shiny to orange and brittle.

It looks atrocious. I went back and they "fixed" it, but I know it will wash out back to brass. I will now wait two years for this mess to grow out. Oh, and I spent $285 for this. They push products hard, with a scam 20% off if you choose the right card from a deck. Of course the products are marked up 20% first. The product prices are ridiculous: $30 for a small bottle of frizz spray (which I realized after leaving.) I was there for more than SIX HOURS, am nearly $300 poorer and my hair looks terrible. Do not recommend.

Maddie was wonderful, spent over an hour treating, cutting and styling my hair and giving me recommendations for products and styling tips, and best of all made my difficult hair look great :) Staff was very nice - I was offered a drink several times - and scheduling was easy, they got me in same day and were apologetic about it being so late (I was just ecstatic to get an appointment!) My appointment was at 8 and I left after 9. Staff was still so friendly and helpful as I checked out, not at all acting inconvenienced or hurried. Thanks for a great experience!

This salon seems cool but the person I had wasn't too great. She seemed knowledgeable but her scissors hadn't been sharpened in forever. She ended up pulling out some of my hair and it's still sore. I'd probably try this place again but it's definitely just up to the artist you get.

First time experience, the salon was very clean and staff was very attentive. I got a French gel mani and was happy with it when I left. The price was reasonable too. However, the very next day it already started to flake and bubble, which should not be the case with shellac gel! I called and they said I could come in and get it fixed free of charge by the girl who did the manicure the first time, but that's time I don't have. Disappointed the shellac, that's supposed to be stronger and stay, didn't hold well at all. I don't think I'll be going back again.

If you're looking to treat yourself and get a mani/pedi, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Sally Clayton! She is a fabulous nail technician and makes you feel so comfortable, even during your first visit! I am not from the area but I hope to be back so I can get pampered by her again! My color looks great and my cuticles have never looked better! Thanks Sally!

Bella was so excited to get her hair cut by Amber today. Amber was very sweet with my initially timid 4 yr old and soon had Bella telling her all about her day. Before we knew it we were all done and leaving with exactly what we wanted, plus sweet gentle curls to finish the pampered princess experience. So happy my 4 year old is excited about getting her hair cut and visiting with Amber. Thank you!

This is the best salon in Columbia. I've lived in Columbia for 25 years and have not had an experience near as wonderful as I have had at Salon Nefisa. I was married this past August and thank goodness for Salon Nefisa and my stylist, Amanda! Not only for my big day, but also for the 18 months leading up to that. Amanda made sure that my hair would look its BEST on my day. Amanda timed my visits and tried everything I might like.

She completely catered to my every need. On my big day, Amanda traveled to Hermann, Missouri to my venue, and did hair until all of my bridal party and I looked perfect (she was thrown 3 extra heads to do, by the way). Thank you, Salon Nefisa, for being wonderful! I couldn't be happier with you and my hair couldn't look better

I was on tour with a theatre company when I visited Salon Nefisa. We had one free day in Columbia. Three of us made appointments. We had to take a cab into downtown, but our appointments were perfectly scheduled and executed that there was no unnecessary sitting around. One of the girls who came with me did a full color and cut. She was in the chair at 9am, the next girl at 9:45am while the color set, and I sat down at 10:05am.

The young ladies at the salon were amazing. Each of us were delighted with the results. The prices were very reasonable for the wonderful service we received. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this salon!
