Dearest Linda, what can I say? What a beautiful way for Robert and me to celebrate our anniversary, giving ourselves the gift of wellness. SUPER RACIAL. Booked my appointments and after attending one they prevented me from booking future appointments. I am a famous social media influencer with 5.3M subscribers on YouTube and 7M on Instagram and I would've gladly support this business. Unfortunately, the judgment on the two ladies face at the front desk is just sad. I already paid paid with card and when I called before attending I was told over the phone I do not have to walk with anything including my card or show email confirmation only state my name.
But the looks on the face alone have a very unsettling feeling. I refuse to support a place that I am unwanted at so instead of paying with cash I DID have I went elsewhere and Support them on all 3 of my platforms. Never thought this beautiful place that looks welcoming is just deceitful. But I bet they too thought I was just another young black waste of time female who didn't meet their standards.

How can I not show up to my appointment and then you say I didn't want to pay with card?ONE OF YOU. told me over the phone I do not have to walk with anything. I made sure to ask cus usually I do no make appointments for spas. But you're a professional business? Yeah try again boo. Because I very well showed up and In time. I have been a client at Natural Balance for the part 20 years. Their professionalism and quality of care is outstanding. My individual needs have always been their first priority. This begins at the reception desk with a friendly, efficient, and professional team. It is consistent in the treatment area with my therapist. Vincent has been my message therapist for the past 10 years on a weekly to bimonthly appointment schedule.
I have the utmost respect and thankfulness for his skill as an experienced therapist. He is able to identify the areas that need attention and help me maintain my well being. I attribute my wellness to his therapeutic touch. He is the essence of a holistic practitioner. Message in one of the therapies I have experienced at Natural Balance. I have had regular skin care appointments with Beth for the past 8 years.

Where do I begin? I went to this spa because it was convenient, as far as distance. My massues is in Hong Kong. I've been to some of the top Spas in Manhattan and I'm accustomed to outstanding service. My experience here was not what I expected. I had a facial with a trainee who rubbed my shoulder and put a hot wash cloth on my face. She focused on my shoulders and nose so much.
I can't say I had a real facial. I politely told Beth about my experience. She admitted Kim was being trained by her. She offered half off my next facial. I already knew I wasn't going back there, but scheduled anyway. I would have called and cancelled anyway since by back felt broken. Kim did my facial and convinced me to purchase a lip exfoliate to "exfoliate and smooth out my lips".
I paid $45. It was horrible. Come to find out, I purchased a lip plumper, which was almost expired. Beth did offer me a new one, after bringing it to her attention. I definitely don't need my lips plumped. They're big as it is. I had a massage right after the facial. Melissa was very nice and I actual think she did a good job. However, the grinding motion with forearm and elbow on my lower back, left me incapacitated for over a week now.
I can't even sit in my car. I spoke to Vinnie to ask if this type of pain is normal. My lower back was sprained. I had to get an x-ray and given meds. I'm not one to complain, but as a hospitality Agent at the Marriott Marquis for 17 years, who has dealt with dissatisfied guests from all over the world; I was appalled when Beth called to tell me. " They don't think they will be able to provide the services that I need'.
Funny thing is. I WAS NEVER GOING BACK THERE! That's not how you handle a dissatisfied customer. They have a lot to learn. It shouldn't be about money. Providing outstanding service and client satisfaction should be their goal. Very unprofessional! Had I not been African American, would I have been treated differently? That's what ran through my mind after Beth called me.
I hate to say this, but as an African American, it's really easy recognize when you're being treated differently. They will deny it, but even the way the reception looked at me made me uncomfortable. This was MY experience. I don't usually write reviews. However, this experience and the way it was handled really bothered me. Therefore; if you have more than 2 complaints about a services, in a place you've never been before, keep it to yourself. They'll call and say they're not able to provide further services. Instead of them offering to address the issues.

Thank you so much for the wonderful massage! Melissa was professional and pleasant with excellent skill and technique. I had an amazing experience. My shoulders and back feel so much better and I am motivated to do the daily recommended stretches. Thank you again! Will tell my family and friends about this wonderful place! My 1st experience was one of absolute pleasure. I was pleased with the staff who assisted me. The Masseuse was very polite and professional and ask if I had any areas that shouldn't be disturbed and if I preferred a soft or firm massage. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I was extremely pleased with the service. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because I think they should offer more sales, especially discounts to returning customers.

From the moment I walked into Natural Balance, I was starting to feel at ease. The aromatherapy smell was relaxing and the staff was welcoming. I was offered a drink and sent to an even more relaxing area to await my appoint for a facial. Beth preformed my facial. She was on time and super professional. She assessed my needs and we both agreed as to how to proceed. The face massages that accompanied the facial were devine. I left feeling clean, refreshed and eager to come again. Great experience!
