First of all the location and property are beautiful. The bedroom with separate living area was spacious and had all the amenities - fridge, microwave, k-cup coffee maker, wet bar. And the balcony overlooking the pool and lake are awesome. The service was impeccable, I don't think we ever opened our own door leaving and arriving. The bellmen were always there.

We did not eat at any of the restaurants since the menu did not impress us. The reason for 2 stars is that every inch of the room needs to be gutted and redecorated. The carpeting and furniture looks like it hasn't been updated in 50 years. The same goes for the carpeting in the hallways. The mattress and pillows were all lumpy and very uncomfortable. For the price of the room and how elegant the hotel looks I would expect better. It will be hard pressed to stay here again for the price.

This was my first time staying here. This resort is really grand! They offer many amenities from valet parking to a parking garage, large lounge, sweet shop, restaurant and of course a spa. The only thing I'm going to ding them on is this: first time there and when I checked in I wasn't told of any of the amenities, where I could find anything or the times the lounge or restaurant were open or breakfast times.

As my wife and I were looking around we did find a manager who even though he was busy with something else took the time to listen to my complaint and gladly told me where to find everything etc. Only after did my wife tell me his badge said he was actually the restaurant manager. Besides that little thing everything was great! The staff were all very polite and courteous.

I liked everything from the huge atrium to the glass elevators to my room. The mattress, pillows and cover were just right! We only stayed two nights and didn't try the lounge, sweet shop or restaurant but I'd beat they were all great too. Resort is pet friendly as we saw several people check in with pets. I never heard any barking dogs or yelling kids or adults. Quiet and peaceful. If you're looking for a fancy place to stay with a nice view of the lake this is it.

Service was excellent and I would give five stars except that my wife's and my pork loin were pretty dry. The crabcakes were excellent the wedge salad was also pretty amazing. I'm not going to be too critical because I know pork is pretty challenging to get perfect.

Amazing view and kind wait staff. It is your typical hotel food though. Easy to park and you can eat here without having a room here. Beautiful table settings.

We had a memorable and excellent experience! The meal was outstanding, came quickly and our waitress Seroya, made every accommodation for us. It was a birthday meal/celebration I will never forget! We love fine dining, and the quality and presentation did not disappoint!

Such a beautiful place, the service was solid, the atmosphere was amazing as always. The Monday breakfast buffet was reasonably priced, but just so-so on quality. Always worth a visit when in Branson, however.

I stayed at the Chateau 19-20 Feb 22. The hotel definitely needs to be updated. Everything about the hotel is old. There is clearly evidence of disrepair. I stayed on the 6th floor. In the vending/ice room on that floor, there were no vending machines and the ice machine stopped working. I had to go to the 5th or 7th floor for ice and a vending machine.

I had to pay a $25/day resort fee and taxes on that fee for the pool. The indoor pool area had broken tiles around the pool and to get the jets to work in the hot tub the maintenance man had to come and work his magic. That happened both days I used the hot tub. I was very disappointed in this hotel and will not stay there again.

We had dinner for our anniversary/valentine day dinner. Possibly the worst food I have ever been served. Dinner was over $200.00. The shrimp cocktail was still frozen in the center, my husband's salad had very little lettuce and the tomatoes and cucumbers were mushy. My Caesar was served with no dressing. The filet had zero seasoning and certainly not basted.

The Salmon was fishy and had no flavor. The lady who waited on us was very nice and gave good service. It is a shame a nice hotel allows their high priced restaurant to serve food that is bearly edible.

Stayed at the hotel for the weekend and ate here for breakfast- very poor experience. It took twenty minutes for us to receive our drinks. Breakfast food was nowhere near worth what we payed for. The pancakes and cinnamon rolls were dry. They were very obviously understaffed. Would not eat here for a meal ever again.

The daily breakfast buffet thats $11 is far worse than other free continental breakfasts I've had at other hotels. Was going to try dinner here but the lack of quality in the breakfast made us change our minds. Won't eat here again.

Was not impressed! We got there at midnight, checked in and went to bed. We turned on the heater expecting it to warm up the room. Apparently it was out. Woke up around 6 freezing. Told the front desk and went to the restaurant for breakfast. Wasn't impressed with the breakfast buffet. Went out for the day and returned later that evening. Heater wasn't fixed. Told the front desk again and they sent someone to get it done. Waited about a hour for the repair.

They comped a couple of drinks at the bar and offered us a free breakfast buffet which I declined. The beds were decent but not good. There's no maid service or room service during my stay. Had to go to the front desk for more towels. For this amount of money and freezing all night ( it was in the low 40's) they didn't do nearly enough. I will definitely find a different place the next time I go to Branson.

Buffet style food isn't very good. Value to taste is nowhere close! Not what it used to be.

It's got all the charm of a luxury funeral home. Breakfast buffet is about $20 each for run of the mill spread. Does have beautiful views, but I'd rather stay at a lake house or condo.

Food was nice, was a buffet which was a little disappointing for the style hotel (probably due to covid), service was friendly. Good meal if you just want to stay in after a long day of tourism.

First off, pulling up to the hotel that is under heavy maintenance was some sort of a turn off. I understand that you need maintenance done, but let the customers know before going. It was extremely load walking up to the hotel. Once we checked in we started to notice that this hotel needed MAJOR maintenance. The entrance door finish was poorly maintained and looking like it hasn't been re-finished since it was new in 97'.

Once we made it to our room, it looked outdated compared to all the hotels we have stayed in. The room didn't even have a refrigerator for cold drinks to be stored. The A/C had some sort of constant rattle to it while running. We paid a little extra for a "Lake View" which was a joke because the machine outside was literally blocking the view all day and you couldn't open the doors because of a all the paint chips falling and the loud noise of the machine.

Later that night we went to the bar inside the hotel which is the ONLY reason why my rating is two stars. The two ladies at the bar was super cheerful and full of energy. The next morning I woke up and had a low temp fever and could not talk well but had the entire day ahead of us and we left for our boat we rented from the Hotel. The boat was a horrible dilapidated piece of junk.

It too needed major maintenance. The throttle would hang either wide open or just die. Later that afternoon we made it back to the hotel for a shower and change for dinner. That's when we found what made myself sick earlier on. There was BLACK MOLD inside the shower and the ceiling! Also, you can tell that the maintenance had known because some of it was painted over!

That night was filled full of horrible sleep again due to the rattling A/C. The next morning and on into the following day was not so enjoyable due to being sick from the black mold inside the room. There is two reasons why this hotel is in such disrepair. One is the manager doesn't want to show high overhead cost to receive a larger bonus or two, the manager isn't getting the backing of the senior level management of spending on maintenance and repair.

This is NOT the house keeper or the maintenance workers fault like I had read in previous reviews. Either way, this hotel has the true potential of being a Gem in the Ozarks, but the way it stands its a ruff diamond. It is going to take MILLIONS to get the hotel back to where it needs to be.

Staying here now. Impressive when you drive up. Nearly all the staff has been incredibly nice, what there are of them. Many have made good suggestions of interesting things to see and do. It's clean and well kept except I notice a little piece of paper on the hallway floor for three days now. Let's see how many more days. We can only get our room cleaned every third day by appointment only, the restaurants aren't open during the first half of the week, despite advertising spa services they are extremely limited, we had to go downtown to get what we wanted.

Despite limited services and having to go off-premises to eat and get spa treatments, their rates reflect those of a full service resort that provide every convenience, and they attach a BS resort fee on top of that. We are not unsympathetic, we understand there's a general shortage of workers and this hotel can't be all that it can be right now but really, for what we paid to stay here, feeling kinda ripped off. Nice view.

Booked a room last minute to escape another hotel. We were given a gorgeous room with a beautiful view of the lake. Check in was easy. The resort is beautiful and well-kept. I didn't see any other place in Branson I would enjoy staying. The Chateau was lovely and all staff was friendly. We ate breakfast and dinners at the Grille and were impressed with the food and the staff.

The pools and pool areas were clean, well appointed and the clientele was very nice. People having a nice time with their families. Respectful and friendly. If I ever come back to Branson I will be staying here again.

This is one of Branson's more luxurious and established resorts. We stayed here for our anniversary. I enjoyed the spa and then we rented a boat for the day conveniently at the Chateau marina. The pool is nice and the hotel will let you bring a cooler with your own drinks and food (pool safe). There is also a snack bar inside and you can also buy drinks.

The restaurant is fantastic and if you sit outside you have a great view overlooking the pool and lake. The rooms are comfortable and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Jimmy at the front desk, Janet in reservations, and Jake at the marina were great. I only wish they had refrigerators in the room. With as much as we tend to bring for drinks and food for the lake, a refrigerator would be a big help.

This used to be the best hotel in town but sadly it has gone downhill. The rooms are extremely dated and falling apart. We stayed on a Monday and didn't know prior to booking that there is zero food available on mondays. None of their restaurants are open mondays and they suggested we call a food service delivery company. They moved our room twice because in the first room the light in the bathroom kept going on and off while I was showering, and the 2nd room the shower didn't even work.

We were supposed to get a refrigerator and they never brought one, we were informed later that they had none available. We were on the ninth floor with a beautiful view except that the sliding door was broken so I was afraid my toddler was going to open it and fall. My husband needed extra blankets and pillows and we were told they had no extras for him. Needless to say we cut our stay short and left early the next morning. We ended up staying in a hotel at the Landing which was 100 times better.

Booked a room here for the 4th of July weekend for four nights with my stay beginning on Saturday evening. When I arrived Sunday morning at 7am and tried to check in (after crashing on my parents couch because we'd been up late watching pre-4th fireworks and drinking Saturday evening), they had resold my room and had none available for me to use until after 12pm on Sunday.

When I explained that they should credit me the nightly fee because they didn't have a room available for me to use when I tried to check in - they told me I had to call them Saturday evening to let them know I would be checking in late and would only offer me a 50% refund. I have reread the fine print in my reservation and nowhere does it state that I must check in (regarding my check in) prior to a specified time. Obviously, had I known, I would have taken 5 minutes out from the festivities to call. I've done extensive traveling where due to delayed flights or other circumstances, check in happened much later than the 4pm check in time and never (not once) have had this happen. I'm so disappointed as I have wanted to stay at the Chateau for several years but canceled the rest of my stay because I can't support a business with such ethics.

The manager Jennifer tried to compare my hotel room to a flight. The only difference is with flights - you know exactly when you have to check in. Furthermore, the flight industry has the lowest customer experience ratings in all of hospitality. To try to compare the Chateau to an airline - well, isn't setting the bar very high. I asked Jennifer, if this was their policy, why they didn't call me to check in to see if my plans had changed to which she replied "we don't call on no shows".

I wasn't a "no show", I was a "not yet to show". I have a vacation rental in Lake Tahoe and would never, ever treat a guest this way. The even sadder and short sighted thing is I very likely would have been a repeat customer (as our family has expanded and we no longer have enough room at my parents' house) for our annual summer trip. I will also be telling all of my parents' friends and neighbors about my disappointing experience.

Negative publicity, lost revenue for the remaining 3 nights of my stay and the loss of a returning guest all for $200. My suggestion is if that's your policy, and you are at 100% capacity, call your guest prior to reselling their room or at least make them aware that this is your policy. Incredibly disappointed, Jennifer Shoup, CPA

Just had breakfast the first morning and that experience guaranteed we ate nothing else there. Pretty hard to mess up bacon and eggs but they did. I placed an order to take back to my room and when I got there to pay the waitress had pre filled out the tip for 15% without asking. I normally tip 20%-25% so she short changed herself. But I have never heard of or had this done before and am disgusted with that being their practice to decide if and what amou t I am going to tip. Absolutely ridiculous

For a 50th anniversary celebration, the Chateau was disappointing. Three of our meals were lukewarm, and when we sent the chateaubriand back, it came back too well done. The filet mignon was not a good cut. Chaser salad so so. No rolls with dinner. High priced.

Do not use the spa! They allowed a unlicensed male to give massages to women.the manager of the spa defended him and still offered his services. They spa didn't offer water or other amenities. The website gives false advertising for the quality of the spa! The esthetician was told to give a massage when she isn't a massage therapist. Extremely angry that we were violated!

This place is awful. It's like a ghost town and the food is way to over priced for nothing. They tried to say we smoked in the room when we absolutely did not and charged us $250. And when we tried to talk to them and say we did not and they continually said if u smell like smoke we're going to charge you when all there signs say if you're smoking IN THE ROOM.

They are rude and disrespectful. We got a good deal on the room in the first place through bass pro and they really just wanted to make some extra money cause they saw us leave to go smoke every time. This is the worst place possible to go all the so called amenities aren't even available they don't even have a damn fridge, microwave or breakfast in the morning. It's so overpriced for being such an outdated piece of shit, and those poor birds they have by on the first floor didn't move from the spots they were in the whole time we stayed and were never given food or anything.

So if you're not a old person you will absolutely not have a good time here cause that's all that's here is old people and rude ass hotel employees. The one nice person that agreed with us was the door man that was in our room and told us ahead of time that they can't charge us. Screw this place is sucks. Might as well go somewhere super expensive and new. I wish I could give zero stars.

We spent one night on a Thursday before Easter. The property is in a great location with a fantastic staff. Check in and out is efficient and there is plenty of free parking, I also believe you can pay for a more secure parking, we did not. We paid for a partial lake view which had an ok view. If we stay again we'll get either a full lake or city view.

The room was very large and comfortable with an earth color, we'd prefer a lighter tone. To get to your room there are 4 elevators with a view of interior garden and water falls, which is very nice. When we got there late Thursday none of the restaurants were open so we ordered Door Dash, that was a mistake as we later found out because the staff orders pizza from Pizza World and sets up a buffet in the bar around 1600, we could have saved some cash!

The view from the bar overlooks the lake with outdoor seating but it was still a little cool and windy so we enjoyed the comfortable seats inside. Bonnie our bar tender was great and we enjoyed a relaxing time there but the music they play might not be to everyone's taste. Breakfast; one of the best we've had in a while especially at $13 a piece.

We both got the All-American Breakfast, Two Eggs, Breakfast Potatoes, Toast, Choice of Bacon, Sausage or Ham. Deb got the sausage I chose the bacon. Everything was very good. Do we recommend staying at the hotel, Definitely, nice views, close to anything you want to do, yet away from them, great staff.

My husband and I took our mother to Branson. We visited the Chateau on the Lake Resort in the morning. The ambiance was so nice, she insisted we go back for dinner at the Chateau Grille. Not normally the kind of money we would spend, but it was so worth it! We started our evening in the lounge with the fireplace. Cozy and the Christmas decorations provided beautiful backdrops for our pictures.

The dining area was elegant and spacious. Felt safe, . no Covid health concerns. The food and staff were amazing. We have to recommend the 12oz KC Strip steak, . and the Nova Scotian Lobster and Shrimp Chowder was the bomb! Yum Thanks for a memorable evening for us all.

Not a good experience. We attended for convention and the internet (needed for my work) was slow, garage parking wasn't working which made parking a really problem, and the staff wouldn't allow late check out without a fee. That was the theme- everything that should have been a convenience during this difficult pandemic was an additional fee.

I was super surprised to see how horrible the security was and the front desk service the front desk is supposed to be the last resort of security before your room they're supposed to stop delivery drivers make sure that guests are guests etc they are extremely lacking nobody driving around their parking lot to make sure property is safeand the front desk person is sitting way away from the front desk hope that chateau can get security

Beware that the grille does not offer the menu that they have on their website. I know covid is going on. For a fine dining place and luxury hotel, not to update their online menu is a disappointment. Was really looking forward to great, food and great wine. Not an experience you can have here anymore.

Check in the staff was very welcoming and immediately greeted us upon entry. No valet parking but the bellman still held the door for us without question. Entire staff has been more than hospitable and the entire staff has made Covid an easy work around with masks and cleaning. Drinks at the bar were delicious and prompt after ordering. Older lady at the coffee bar gave me a quick pick me up with an expresso and cookie to start off the night! Rooms seem dated for "hip" couple lol but well appointed and super clean!

The resort has very few people during the weekdays after Labor Day. The pool was to cold to swim in. The rooms are clean. The rooms are pricey. The restaurant was pricey and closed on Monday night and Tuesday. There is a sweet shop with ice cream, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee. The workout room is small. I wish the pool would have been warm and they replenished pool towels.

Went for 3 nights for a girls trip. So nice and relaxing. The sheets are AWESOME on the beds, I'm very picky and they were amazing! My only complaint is that the outside of the hotel could use a tiny bit of power washing and upkeep but besides that it was perfect.

We came here after checking in to a not so great place. I didn't book here originally bc the photos online didn't look worth the extra money. I was wrong. It was a very nice hotel with friendly staff. Out stay was during covid so restaurants had limited hours and not everything was open. The pool was open and the chairs were spaced apart.

Staff work masks. Room was clean and we saw people constantly cleaning the elevators. We need a place to stay every year for Kanakuk pick up-- and we think we finally found one.

I repeatedly heard people complaining that this was a really expensive place. We did not find that to be the case at all. No, it's not a $50/a night motel. Its a very nice resort with all the features of a big city major hotel including convention facilities and all kinds of resort activities and spa stuff to do. Its located on the side of a beautiful lake, surrounded by forests and really well staffed.

We had a king size bed, balcony, overlooking the lake and paid $189 a night. I stay at hotels for work that can be upwards of $450 a night so this seemed very reasonable for the quality and grade. Everyone was very well trained, the Conciere was very helpful and friendly, and all the staff was simply great. Friendly, and helpful. Even the valet parking staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Offering us cold bottled water as we left and never pushed for tips (although we always do tip them).

Our balcony view was worth the price. Inside there are indoor ponds and steam with a soft waterfall, the grounds are all well maintained, and everything looks great. Inside there is a library piano bar with live music. A sweets and ice cream shop and other places to eat. You can also rent a jet sky, boat, or book entertainment which is why you come to Branson.

Most of the ticket prices was lower from them than booking directly with the theatres too. We could have stayed a week and had plenty to do. Like many resorts, there is a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and a $25 resort fee. I think all resorts charge those now no matter how much or little you use while there.

This was easily the best part about our stay in Branson. Honestly, we really didn't leave much because everything we needed was here! The restaurant was great, we loved the breakfast buffet and the two menus for dinner. We ate almost every meal outside so we had a gorgeous view of the water. Restaurant service was great! Our waitresses were always super attentive and it was convenient to be able to charge everything to the room. W loved sitting out by the pool with poolside drink and meal service too!

Our favorite thing was probably the marina. The prices were fair compared to other rental places and we ended up going paddle boarding/kayaking twice during our stay. I don't think the rooms were necessarily outdated, but it would have been nice to have a fridge or even a microwave. The rooms are large, I wish we would have had a view of the lake, but we were on one of the sides.

I will say the rooms could be more soundproof. The way the hotel is set up with the open lobby, you can easily hear young children yelling in the lobby and on other floors, while inside your room - the hotel definitely creates echoes. I think that's what woke me up every morning. I did like the bathroom though, it was probably one of the largest hotel bathrooms I've ever had with plenty of counter space. Overall we were quite pleased with our stay here!
