Remedi Day Spa

Worst gel manicure I ever received in my life. This is the first time I have ever gotten a gel manicure from here. I have been getting the spa pedicures with Blanca and they have been great. Blanca was out and they put me with someone else so I figured I'd give it a try. The pedicure was horrendous the "hot stone spa" pedicure massage was no more than 3 minutes tops.

She barely took off the old gel that was on my nails and barely painted the whole nail (pictures for reference) I told the girl at the desk and she was very apologetic and said and I quote "by the end of the week you will have a refund to your card" as well as "oh that nail tech doesn't usually do gel" the Other girl at the desk was very unprofessional who said as she was sitting in a chair (for the guests) "don't like not come back here anymore you'll get your money back" I had to call back 2 times To follow up still no refund.

A manager calls me back a week later and says "we don't do refunds for things like that " offers me a "redo" and I WILL NEVER go back there again. The most unprofessional and worst experience in a salon I have ever had not to mention the gel was already lifting and peeling not even a week later!

I should have posted this a lot sooner when it happened. I'm a stay at home mom of two babies. My husband works and I take care of our children. It's what works for us. Because of our situation I have had to make sacrifices financially like many parents do. Sacrifices such as going to the spa on a regular basis. My husband surprised me with a gift certificate for a message and facial.

I was so excited it was much needed. The place was beautiful and immaculate. The massage was fantastic! The problem I had was with the esthetician. As I was receiving my facial the esthetician told me my skin had some issues but it was very fixable with the products that were sold there and of course regular facials. I told her that going to the spa was a treat for me and that I was a stay at home mom and simply could not afford it.

She then asks what skin products I used. I named the drug store brand stuff I used. She then continued to pitch the products being sold. I once again told her I could afford it. She said "you can't afford $100 for some products that will help your skin" I said no. She got up turned the lights on and gave me this whole speech on how important it is for a woman to have her own financial independence.

How it was 'embarrassing' for me not to be able to afford skin care. I was stunned. I didn't say anything she finished up and I went home feeling so horrible. A day at the spa that was supposed to alleviate my stress turned into my feeling insecure about myself. S

I always love my visits to remedi! Everyone there makes the experience that much better, with the professionalism and friendliness. Nicole is absolutely amazing. She has done my spray tans and my facials, and I always know I am in the best of hands and care. She is not only professional, but she has taught me so much about my skin and how to better it. She is knowledgeable and just so genuine and good at what she does. Remedi is an 11 out of 10 experience!

Had my second hydra facial yesterday and I'm very satisfied. I left the spa feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Nicole is very sweet and thorough. Can't wait for my next one! Highly recommend Nicole and Susan for any facial related services.

Dear Dawn, The fact the salon has not done so much as to offer a complimentary treatment to me for this mishap is unprofessional. I was not seeking a financial compensation. I was told by receptionist Sheryl that I would receive a call from the manager to see what could be done for me. Also. I do understand that your cucumber water in the pitcher is not permitted as per Covid guidelines. However, your spa should offer bottled water in the relaxation room for individual consumption. I did wait for a manager to contact me and she did. to offer another appointment, yet not to offer me reperations for my wasted time and no massage.

The best experience! Great facial with shoulder and neck massage. Nicole was very skilled and professional. The spa atmosphere is so relaxing starting with the relaxation room. Staff was excellent and asked if I'd like to book another experience so I did! Tomorrow is a Swedish massage! Looking forward to it.

Went here for the very first time today and it was AMAZING! Great atmosphere and very well cleaned. Valerie was fantastic and I definitely would reccomend her for anyone looking to get rid of any stubborn knots in your back.

Went last minute to Remedi spa today and I'm so happy I went! This wonderful masseuse named Valerie gave the most Amazing Swedish massage I've ever had. She really worked on my upper back where I needed it most. She was kind and knew what she was doing. Thank you for relaxing my mind and body today Remedi spa and a special thanks to Valerie!

The minute you walk through the door it feels like you are on a tranquil escape. The spa is serene, CLEAN, and relaxing. I have been coming for years and received multiple services- everything from facials, to massages, to manicure- one better than the next. Remedi Spa is a slice of heaven on Staten Island.

I called last minute for a facial appointment during spa week, they had a cancellation so I got lucky. My facial was with Nicole she was excellent, I left feeling relaxed and refreshed!

I absolutely LOVE Jen! She has hands of gold! I leave there feeling amazing! I almost don't want to give her name cause sometimes it's so hard to get an appointment with her she's that good! But she deserves recognition!

Dawn, My name is Jillian not Jessica. I have showed a photo of my eyebrows in my original review and this is with the vaseline use 3x a day miniscule amount, no hot water and dove baby wash only. I am sad to hear that you stand behind this kind of work. They have already put me in contact with her and all she did was accuse, reprimand and condescend me (I sent on the texts but of course this was fully ignored by your staff).

The fact that my eyebrows are now fully scabbed and I have to pay for laser removal at another salon is inexcusable. The way I was spoken to by Elsa is absolutely inexcusable too. It is sad to see that NOTHING was done in regards to this, just lies and accusations. Again I am very sorry to hear that you stand behind the kind of work that was done by her and I am sorry to see that customers do not come first at your spa.

If you look into my google review history I ONLY post 5 star reviews and never negative reviews so it speaks absolute volumes that I am finally speaking up about something that is NOT OK and there is absolutely no excuse at all and I am sick of getting accused by your company and the people you choose to hire.

My parents booked a one-hour Swedish couples massage for us. I think the price for a one-hour massage was too high and the bubbly was forgotten about until the session concluded. We asked the front desk about it and the receptionist gave it to us then. For these reasons, I give the spa 4 stars. My masseuse, Pat, was phenomenal! My wife's masseuse, Val G., was just as exceptional! The heated beds and what seemed like weighted blankets were a great touch. I would go back to this spa for services in the future.

I had THE most spectacular deep tissue massage with Val. She is the most talented masseuse I have ever had, and I am pretty religious about getting my massages every 4-5 weeks. She takes the deepest care in each and every step making for the most transcending self care experience. I HIGHLY recommend Val & Remedi spa they are the best Spa in NYC hands down.

I booked a last minute surprise session for my wife. Booking it online showed no available appointments for this day so I decided to call and a lady answering the phone was kind enough to find a free window of time for my wife. And she loved it. The massage and pedicure left her very satisfied and made me a hero . 5 stars

I had an excellent experience during spa week at Remedi as always! Place was clean and I felt safe considering the times we are in. attendants wore masks, plexiglass behing the counter etc. Jen was my masseuse and is incredible! I always go to her and she knows exactly what she is doing, is communicative and attentive and uses the perfect amount of pressure.

Normally I'd say the place is a bit overpriced but for spa week it's a fantastic deal at $60 for 45 min. Would have preferred an hour option but that was all they offered so I took it.

I've been coming to Remedi for years and have had many great Swedish massages, but today I truly wasted $100 and one hour of my time. The spa is clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the amenities are nice, but today I learned never to let the spa choose your masseuse for you. Lia was personable and sweet, but when I said that my upper back was especially sore, I expected her to spend more than 5-10 minutes massaging my back.

She also got a significant amount of lotion in my hair, which I now have to wash again today. I had been looking forward to this massage for weeks because I'd been feeling increasingly tight in my back and shoulders, but as I left today I felt less relaxed and more angry than when I went in. I'm extremely disappointed and annoyed and will likely take some time trying out other spas.

My go to for massage. I always ask for the same massage therapist, Lia, and she is great! I try for monthly appointments when possible. I am never disappointed. And I love being able to book on their app. ETA: After another great massage today and a lovely response from Dawn the owner, I had to come back and write more. The front desk staff always greets me warmly, and they are fast and efficient with check-in and check-out. Lia, not only is a highly skilled massage therapist, but she is genuinely kind and sincere.

She always makes sure that I'm comfortable, seeks out the trouble spots, and goes the extra mile to guarantee I have a wonderful experience every time. After I spent ten years in Manhattan with the same massage therapist, it was difficult to find a new person in Staten Island. I went through four before finding Lia and Remedi Spa, but I am so happy I did! Thank you again for your service!

I went here for a hot stone massage (Lynn) & custom facial (Alexis) 7 months after having my first baby and it was the MOST relaxing day I had in 7 months. The entire staff was so professional and kind. My massage felt amazing and my face was glowing when I left. I highly recommend Remedi Spa & can't wait to go back!

Myself and two friends arrived at the spa on time only to find we couldn't get the massages we ordered The spa said only two of us could get the rock massages we ordered and the third had to get a Swedish massage and they would try to incorporate the rocks into the massage I was very disappointed We came all the way from Brooklyn because we heard good things about this place The place offered us nothing in return for making a mistake It seems they have their regulars and were really not interested if we returned or not The massage as ok but did not feel welcome enough for a return trip Disappointed

Purchased a Hydrafacial for my boyfriend's mom. She said her esthetician was " a doll" and she loved the treatment. By rule its a quick facial but they spent 45 minutes with her which was wonderful. Will be buying another giftcard:

Only Spa I go to and love on Staten Island. I've been to Remedi a handful of times with different services (aromatherapy, swedish, spa pedi, hot stone). Each time was wonderful. Love the fact they provide towels, robes and slippers. There is lockers to store your personal items. If you need to freshen up they also have some toiletries as well.

The facilities are very clean. Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early to check-in and change so you can sit in in the relaxation room. Which has nice refreshing lemon water, tea, coffee, and cookies in a covered tray. The front desk is warm and welcoming. All the masseuse I had were amazing. My experience is always a pleasant one. Very professional, asking me questions on certain concerns I may have. Looking forward to my next appointment. Taking advantage of spa week.

This place is a gem. The management, owners, and aesthetician Susan, are amazing. Definitely gives you a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a place you can ACTUALLY relax! The microdermabrasion here is excellent!

I was looking forward to getting my nails back on track since I bite them and wanted to get a little extension for regrowth. Heard great things and I live close so I gave this place a shot. I had spoken to Cheryl regarding what type of set was best SNS or LCN I had told her I have badly bitten nails and need some type of extension and she suggested SNS Bc if it's dip powder and less time to cure. Booked an appointment and waited until I was ready to be seen was brought to my chair and one nail tech upon looking at my nails and knowing I asked for SNS she gave me a dirty look prob bc they were so bad ( which is why I hate going to nail Places bc of the judgement).

I sat with a girl who started to do the manicure I noticed she wasn't creating any type of extension and since I didn't know how the whole thing worked I met her ho about it. She basically just gave me a dipped mani with layers of powder making my Nails look thick and gloppy. I asked about an extension and she said it wasn't SNS- then why continue knowing what I wanted- you are the nail tech you can make suggestions and offer input bc I have no clue what is best.

I stated clearly I needed some type of extension to help them regrow. So for 55.00 I got a manicure on top of my super short nail which looks awful. To me a set is a set of Nails or extensions a set isn't a manicure so I have no idea what they were doing since I don't know the new nail trends. Sad bc the place was so cute and so close, but between dirty looks and an overpriced manicure I can't return in good conscience.

I received a gift card and was excited to use it. Since I haven't been at RS in a few months the last massage therapist Lauri was decent and I wanted to go back to her. Unfortunately, she wasn't working and the receptionist made me an appt with a Lynn. I made sure Lynn was was good and recommended of course they assured me she was. Well, I arrived early and was seated in the relaxation room.

There was staff ruffling about putting away inventory and making a lot of noise. My appt was for 12:30. I arrive around 12:10 and sat at 12:15 Giving ample time so I wasn't rushing. This woman stuck her head in a few times. She looked mildly disheveled and I thought she was the lady that comes around and cleans up. On the last time she stuck her head in and she announced herself as Lynn and said that I was super early and if I just wanted to sit around or start now.

I kind of was taken back. Most people are happy when someone is on time or early. I said whatever feels comfortable for her. Tbh I just wanted a pleasant experience. I noticed on this visit that the spa isn't well kept. The walls are all damaged. Nothing smelled nice in the interior of the spa. There was robes thrown around in the bathroom/ changing area.

We arrived at the room and she seemed to be really upset I came early. Anyway, she seem to give a fluff massage. I asked her to not give a deep tissue more of a medium pressure. I thought she understood but I guess not. She kept dropping things during the dreadful hour. and I walked out of there smelling like smoke instead of lavender. I even said while checking out that I was unhappy. They made a comment back that they seem to go thru a lot of girls If you don't know who you are going to don't take a chance on wasting your money!

I high recommend Remedi Spa if you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere and an incredible massage. I have been coming here for a while now for hot stone massages and therapeutic massages and have never been disappointed. The relaxation room is exactly that, incredibly relaxing. In regards to the massages every therapist I have had has been amazing in massaging the tightness, knots and easing the pain from issues I have with my neck, shoulders and back. Thank You Remedi!

Best few hours! Check in was simple. Give your name and your in. Atmosphere was inviting and Comfortable. Had the dermabrasion, done professional and perfectly. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I do wish the relaxation room was a bit more cozy.

Currently sitting in the pedicure chair here. The water was cold and my pedicurist didn't ask how the temperature was once. She was so rough and didn't go any gentler when I flinched a number of times. My "massage" was her rubbing the cream up and down my legs not a massage just movement. I've had what I think is a wax treatment on my feet now for 17 minuets.

She put It on and just left. Pretty sure I didn't plan on paying $50 for someone to moisturize my legs and waste 17 minuets of my pedicure so she can probably go check her phone. I understand a 10 minuet wax treatment but 17 minuets, really? I'll never be back here for any other services again unless they're booked with Susan.

I have been coming here for years since they opened I believe. I only go for massages so I cannot comment on any other services. Depending on the masseuse the massages are excellent. The place is very pretty and very clean from what I can see when I am in the locker rooms or the massage room. There isn't much competition in the area for them but I definitely think they do a great job at what they do and the place is definitely worth using if you need a massage.
