I've been going to unravel for some time now and it's been an amazing experience. I have a lot of back pain from work and it has decreased significantly since going there. The front desk people are super kind and helpful and the therapists are great as well. Overall, I always look forward to going back!

TD;LR: Avoid Unravel Therapeutics in Magnolia due to their wildly unprofessional and inappropriate billing practices. I received massage therapy from Unravel Therapeutics five times through my insurance. My insurance EOBs say that I should have paid Unravel a total of $29.50. I just checked my credit card statements and I've paid them $36.07 plus $80.00 in tips. Based on this they may have actually been overcharging me.
I received a letter today from Unravel's "Pre-Collection Department" that I have an amount of $5.90 that is 120 days overdue and "Your account has recently been brought to our attention." plus ".your account may be referred to our outside agency.". It's worth noting that to-date I've paid every invoice they've sent me without reviewing; usually the same day I receive their invoice.
The last time I received service from Unravel was 111 (not a typo) days ago. Not only is their overdue notice wildly incorrect, it appears to be outright incorrect. Avoid Unravel Therapeutics if you're seeking treatment through your health insurance: it's not worth the hassle. Addendum: Unravel's unprofessional practices are not related to the PPE charge (which my insurer has paid every time).

This is not a review of services but some feedback for the company. I wanted to schedule massages for my husband and I. We are newer to the Magnolia area and would have been new, recurring clients. The woman who answered the phone on the morning of 9/9/21 was very unprofessional. She seemed exasperated from the moment she picked up the phone, as if she were annoyed someone was even calling to schedule an appointment.
I advised that I am typically available between 9am and 5pm every weekday. she kept offering times after 5pm even though we had already discussed that wouldn't work. She could have simply said, "My next available appointment during that time frame is on x date at x time" but she seemed incapable of working with someone over the phone to find a good time.
I just gave up and didn't schedule anything because it was a very off-putting experience. It seems like you have very positive reviews for your services, please train your staff on customer service or even better, use an online booking service.

Just came from a massage with Leah and it was wonderful. I've been seeing the same therapist for nearly 9 years who recently had to retire, so I was concerned it might take a bit to find a good fit again, but Leah is amazing. She has a very calming presence and thoughtfully listened to my needs. Her pressure was perfect and I left feeling fantastic, I will definitely be back. I should mention the woman who checked me in was very sweet and personable as well!

I had a massage with Javier, the massage was great. I had an achy lower back and the massage really helped lifted the pain. They also have a little shop downstairs selling skin care products, unique clothing, jewelry and gifts. The massage room I was in could be better and the music could be more zen. But overall and great experience and I'll be back.

I recently had a massage with Tia and it was a wonderful experience. Tia is very knowledgeable and attentive. She took her time to find out what I would like for her to work on and did just that. I left feeling refreshed and as if the world has been lifted off my shoulders, literally. The spa also has a great boutique with skincare, clothes, jewelry and small gift items. It's so fun to browse before and after the appointment! I will definitely come back in the near future.

I am updating my review because of new ownership. The new owner, Noha was kind enough to reach out to me and offered me a complimentary massage. I had a very nice massage. She is committed to customer service. This is definitely a plus with me. Definitely going to give the new ownership a chance. I will be making another apt soon.

My experience was far less than satisfactory in two aspects. the massage person was much too rough and continued to be rough when I asked her to use less pressure. I don't get a massage expecting to come away with bruising. The new billing system is or was a mess. I expect to pay a bill and have it be correctly posted. I'll not go back.

My husband and I recently went for a massage at Unravel, and it was amazing! From the moment I walked in Noha at the front desk was gracious and offered me refreshments and showed me around. Did you know as an added plus they have some super cute clothes as well as a skin care options? My masseuse was Megan, and she was very attentive listening to what I needed. She gives one of those amazingly strong massages that are just the right pressure. Would definitely go again in the future!

I booked a massage appointment last minute and took public transit across town to address my widespread back pain. It was absolutely worth it. I was super early but luckily they have a darling shop downstairs you can browse through while you wait. Staff was friendly. I was then taken upstairs to another cute cozy waiting area to meet my therapist.
My therapist was Will and he was incredibly intuitive. He really listened to my concerns and did exactly what I wanted without too much explanation from me. Several times during the massage he checked in about the pressure, and I was impressed when he asked "does this feel like the area I need to be working on?" (It was always dead on) And proceeded to recommend some stretches for the worst area.
I left satisfied and feeling a TON better in just 30 min (now wishing I booked a full hour). I don't think I've ever gotten EXACTLY what I was looking for in a massage before this one so I will definitely make the trip across town to come again. He repeated a lot of the movements over and over but I actually felt like that was more effective and relaxing than if he changed it up constantly like a lot of therapists do. Kind of perfect. If I had to complain about ANYTHING, the head rest and table weren't the most comfy but It didn't reduce the quality of my massage. Try em out!

I am changing my review of this place because they're under new ownership and the owner is committed to customer service and has made many improvements including hiring some new amazing therapists. I had the opportunity to meet her and she's efficient with a friendly & pleasant personality. Therefore it's definitely worth a second chance & Wouldn't be fair to not give her the opportunity to have a fresh start.
The location is terrific, there is free parking, a gorgeous boutique inside with unique merchandise that can't be found anywhere else. They also offer skin care services and carry some lovely, natural skin care products.

The owners are quite pushy. When my prescription for massage was found to be outdated, I had to cancel my appointment. The guy behind the counter kept pushing with statements like "can't you just call them now and get a new prescription?" (um, no doctor is waiting by the phone, certainly not mine) and "You can pay for it, get your renewal, call us later, we'll run it, and then we'll reimburse you" (also not trusting this to be a squeaky clean solution).
The woman who answers the phone answers in mid-conversation, continues her conversation, and eventually get's to you without any professionalism of announcing the store, her name, etc. Very weird. This goes beyond extreme familiarity (which is itself odd). It was confusing and made me think I had a wrong number. The employees, however, are mostly great.
I had a massage with a guy who was an obvious smoker, which really ruined it for me, but he's no longer there. The others ranged from very capable to very good. Customer service will bring repeat business. If you concentrate on getting money on a one-off instead of making your customer comfortable, you are not doing yourselves a favor. My advice to the owners is this: You must be the most professional people of the bunch.

Unravel Therapeutics is a true gem. Not only is it an adorable shop that sells unique and lovely clothes, jewelry and accessories, but it is a lovely and serene spa experience. I have been going to Sheryll for years and she has helped me with chronic shoulder pain. This winter I had a back injury that caused spams and the worst pain I have ever experienced. Sheryll went above and beyond to help me recover. She was the only respite from my pain. She is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable and I highly recommend Unravel.

I've been trying to schedule an appointment for Unravel for 2 weeks after finding them on my insurance Website. But first I was playing phone tag and then they told me they wouldn't take my insurance and Tom cancelled my appointment, because they had unpaid claims from that insurance company. I am giving them a 1-Star since he didn't apologize and basically didn't want me as a new patient.

Such a diamond in the rough! I've been coming here for years and have seen several of the massage therapists. Even though I don't live in the neighborhood this place is worth driving across town. Everyone I've seen has been skilled and professional. The therapists excel at DEEP tissue massage. Not exactly the most relaxing, but exactly what you need to get the knots out or if you have chronic tension or headaches. I've recommended Unravel to several friends. Decent facials too, especially the ear massage that comes with.yum! Bonus: they take many kinds of insurance with a 'script from your doctor.
